My husband and I went to George’s for dinner last night. I have to say that this place does not look very appetizing from the outside or on the inside for that matter. The food was fresh and fast and overall taste pretty good. It’s not my favorite burger place but it definitely is pretty good for the price. I had the double cheeseburger and my husband had the double cheese burger with bacon. We also shared the fried pickles which were really good. We bought the meal using a Groupon.

At 11:20 a.m. my workers and I enthusiastically ordered from George’s burgers and fries. We were saddened when our food arrived over an hour after we had made the call. You are under dismay are french fries we’re very very cold and since I’m the only one who likes cold french fries my stomach is now backed up. They forgot to bring a soda and told us they would return with the correct soda and fries being rewarmed up. When he returned over an hour later they brought the same sodas and forgot the same one that they did in the first order. Unfortunately we will not be using this delivery service anymore because this really has put a damper on our day. In conclusion George’s deserves 0 stars because they force old people to work and drive their crappy cold food around.

Stopped in after driving past a few time and seeing it had good reviews I thought it would be a hit. It was really awful. I ordered the largest Gyro and half the meat was so over cooked it felt like it was going to break my tooth. I had to be careful with each bite I took. Half the fries were great and the Other half were still frozen. Not sure how they managed that. Definitely not coming back. Very disappointed!

The service was horrible. There treated me like i was their hommie not a customer. I watched a guy wipe his nose with his hand then touch my food. Gyros were dry. Would never go here again.

Good food… Whenever they actually get the order right. Both our orders were wrong. We ordered the chicken and the classic gyros. It’s very filling for a very cheap price.

I wasn’t sure what to think when I pulled up but the drive thru was busy so figured give it a try. The place is not clean but not gross. Service was fast and friendly.
I ordered the classic gyro and fries. The gyro was a thick pita, meat (generous), two thin tomato slices and tzatziki sauce. Unimpressed, because I am used to more veggies on a gyro, I dug in. Bottom line, it was tasty and hit the spot. The fries were also crust and fresh.

Colorado Springs Food Guy on my quest for good food leads me to George’s Gyros And Burgers located at 3008 S Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO. I ordered a Yorgo’s Gyro with fries. The Gyro was tender and flavorful and bursting with goodness. They hand cut their meat off the vertical broiler when you order. All gyros are served on a 7″ fluffy pita bread with their signature homemade tzatziki sauce, onions, and tomatoes. The fries were hot and crispy despite them being frozen from a bag. The fries would even be better if they were fresh cut. The staff was all smiles and super friendly. Elda Esparza and Joanna Montoya told me more about the food and helped me with my order. I think this is a great place for lunch or a quick dinner.

First time going to George’s and probably my last. Needed a quick lunch and found myself on Academy. Person holding a sign on the corner advertising a $ 3 Double Cheeseburger lunch special and I figured it was worth a shot. I went through the drive-​thru and ordered my burger. Drove home and sat down to eat. Opened the burger container and found a burger with only a bottom bun… No top bun at all. Was that why it was only $ 3 :/

George’s was suggested to me by a coworker, so I thought I would give it a shot as it’s right around the corner from our office. They brag that they have the best Gyros in Colorado… This may very well be true, and I might be the person just to put that to a test. I am a sucker for a good one.
I ordered the Classic Gyro ($ 5.99) with no onions. Everything on it was fresh tasting, and the meet had a perfect flavor. The most outstanding component on the sandwich was the tzatzki sauce. It was very rich, thick, and creamy with decent chunks of cucumber all the way through. It looks homemade.
I also ordered the fried mushrooms ($ 3.99). A very nice portion… Hot and fresh served with a side of ranch dressing.
Both employees were very friendly and helpful. I thought my service was excellent this is definitely a place that could be overlooked as it sits behind trees and in front of a big church parking lot. Do not drive on by! When in Colorado Springs, you must visit this place for a great selection of burgers chicken sandwiches and gyros! You will kick yourself in the pants all the way back to wherever you came from if you skip over this little joint. Don’t let their unassuming looks deceive you. This is the real deal!

Old ass burger, at least the fries are good n filled me up! I called and informed the manager and he was unaware that he even had a double chz on the menu which I got home n wasn’t so now I get a credit 2 come back to this crap again.

Loved the food. Hubby had the double cheese burger and said it was awesome. I think I had the best sandwich I had in years: George’s gyro. It was so good. We shared the fries, there was plenty for both of us they were nicely seasoned. We will be repeat customers!

The customer service was amazing! They were super nice and patient with us when we were deciding what we wanted. The food was also AMAZING. I highly recommend this place to Gyro fanatics and newbies all together.

Good food when they actually get your f$&’@* order right.
Tonight I ordered fried mushrooms, and some asshole made fried PICKLES. I should have checked before I left. I’m too tired to drive back and complain. Every time I’m dumb enough to try this place — I feel like an idiot for giving them yet another chance only to disappoint me.
They’re Gyros are pretty good, as are their fried MUSHROOMS.

Good burger. Appropriate sizes. Good service. Nothing too remarkable but I will be coming back here regularly.

The gyro was hot and the tzaziki is amazing. Fries portion in good too. I was pleasantly surprised! I will definitely eat here again!

First impression right away I could tell they don’t have a good smoke filter in the kitchen because the place was full of smoke but they did open a door… I ordered the double cheeseburger with fries and drink and it was great, the fries are well season and the burger was juicy and full of flavor I will definitely go back and try other items!

I had The Classic gyro and my kiddo ate free with my adult meal. Sweet :) paid for my baklava!
The location is tough to get to but the food is worth it.
Plentiful portions in the gyro and the tzatziki/​onion/​lamb combo was spot on. My only issue is that charging me extra for feta cheese & hummus seems. well…kind of cheap. Charge me a little more & give me the good stuff right in the combo :)
Overall George’s is unique and a good fast food meal in an area that needs some new local business. I’ll come here again!
