Love this place. Close to home. Prices are reasonable and the crowd is always friendly. Our bartender, Rob is extremely attentive. I asked for water and he kept my water full all night. I don’t have a hangover today, and I totally earned one. Little known fact about the place: The glitter on the ladies room floor was created when an actual leprechaun vomited there, and an Irish stripper with glitter freckles rolled in it. So magical.

This one was hard for me. I went in for a beer and stayed 6 hours because the people were so amazing. It was a very clean place but also very out of date. This bar has so much potential and is so fun! Sadly no matter how fun it was three stars was pushing it. They still have Christmas lights up and cheesy disco ball decorations. Some guy kept trying to sell me coke! This is a bar of mostly regulars. On a Friday night there was maybe 30 people there, by no means full. The bathrooms need to be upgraded along with most of the décor. When I first walked in there were two kids sitting at the bar with their parents. Also for a lot of the night the bar tender ignored me. Later he gave me a drink on him to apologize, he told me her was annoyed by someone else, that is still bad service. They do have food there if you ask for a menu, but when I wanted to order he told me it would be an hour and a half and then proceeded to sing karaōke. I don’t know what about Nachos took that long but the food was stale. I think this place has amazing potential they just have to do something about it. This could be THE place on this side of town if they just caught up with the times and had better décor.

First impressions are not always what they seem! Some call this a dive bar, some consider it an old but awesome neighborhood bar. Granted, the food is bar food, and the menu is limited, but the entertainment, drinks and service is why this is one of my favorites. Unlike some other posts here, I think this is a good place to bring a lady friend… you’ll have a great time and the prices are right! Definitely a must to check out especially on Mondays around 9pm. there’s DJ, Karaōke, and Open Mic with The Fireman of Fireman Records, and on Saturday karaōke with Colleen and Evening Star Entertainment.

Let me begin with saying that I love dive bars. I love the cheap drinks and casual/neighborhood atmosphere. The Erin Inn is no exception to this. I’ve been here a few times with friends, and I’ve never been crazy about it, but this was pretty much my final straw. It’s one of those places where everyone knows everyone. Think Cheers, but more run down(the bathroom is disgusting). And I respect a place where regulars know other regulars and everyone is on a first name basis. However, if you are not a regular, prepare to be treated like complete garbage from the staff. This review is based almost entirely on the main bartender, Rob. During my stay at the Erin Inn, I experienced the following antics from him on Karaōke night(let it be known that there were maybe 20 people at most, in the entire bar for him to serve): –I asked for a gin and tonic with lime(I was 1 of 2 people asking for a drink), to which he replied with a «hold on» finger and said, «I’m really busy», and pointed to a stack of about 5 dirty glasses that he insisted had to be cleaned before helping anyone. –About 20 minutes later, he brought me my drink, without lime. Since I would appreciate getting what I ordered, I kindly asked, «can I please have a few limes when you — «. That’s all I could get in because I was interrupted with an exasperated sigh, followed by another«hold on» finger. He ignored my request and ran around the bar, performing what seemed like any sort of thing to get away from helping me. Things like: moving a bottle 2 inches to the left, gossiping with a customer, checking his phone, washing one glass(and taking his sweet time doing so)…etc. Finally, about 15 minutes later, he came back to me and said«I didn’t forget about you,» and handed me limes, with a really snarky look on his face. –It was karaōke night, and assuming he is the only bar-tender, one would think he would stay at the bar to help customers. Of course not; he was doing karaōke too. I witnessed a customer asking for 2 drinks, and while Rob was in the middle of pouring a beer, his name was called to come up to the stage. He stopped pouring the beer, handed the half full glass to the customer and said, «I will be back, I have to go up to sing.» Let this be noted that he did this multiple times to other customers. –At times, there were multiple people waiting to buy a drink, actually forming a pretty long line, but he was too busy chatting with his friends to help anyone. –At the end of the night, I asked for him to close out my tab. He took my card and walked away. It wasn’t until maybe 10 minutes later, when by some miracle I got his attention and he closed it out. You can be sure that he gave me a nasty look after dropping it off. The best part was looking at the tab and seeing how cheap it is. It seems like you have to pay your dues and be a regular here in order to get some-what decent service. If you are a first timer, chances are you will have a horrible experience. The only reason I didn’t give this place a 1 star was because, as I previously mentioned, this review is based almost entirely on Rob, the bartender. As a dive bar itself, its probably a 3-star place. Cheap drinks, cool atmosphere. But that bar-tender alone really ruins the entire experience.

Last night I went to The Erin Inn and the bartender and customers had been talking crap about how young we were since the second we walked in. They made fun of our clothes, the way we talked, the way we drank. EVERYTHING right in front of us. We pretended not to notice and tried to enjoy ourselves. THEN the bartender was taking shots and ignoring us while we tried to get his attention to get a drink. Then when we finally got it we asked for the checks. We gave him a 0 dollar tip due to his rudeness… HERESWHEREITGETSGOOD. He goes over to customers, shows them the receipt and says«I told you so» So I say of course I didn’t tip you when you’ve been talking about us to customers all night. He then says in 0.2 seconds. «Your ugly, shut up ugly mexican!» I say“Um I am not Mexican” He proceeds to tell me that I am indeed Mexican(since I guess I wouldn’t know) Then he goes on to tell me I am an ugly mexican bitch and to never come back and he is calling the cops. So I leave, although he had no reason to call any cops. Id had one drink in an hour period while he was drinking and treating us aweful. Ive never been so disrespected in my life. Keep in mind we never even got any attitude until I saw him show my receipt to a customer and I still was calm when I confronted him and him and his possy(the group of customers he loved talking about us to) kept on trashing us. and to go with Shawns post. It was the argentinin gay bartender I had *UPDATE* I contacted the bar and was told to give my number and the owner or bar manager would contact me… instead I have not been contacted by them however they gave the disrespectful bartender ROB my phone number and he texted me explaining why it was ok for him to act that way and that he has been soul searching so I should just give him another chance. UNBELIEVABLE. He should not have had any way to get my phone number!

Holy dive bar! Very dated, pretty nasty. Definitely a place to bring the guys but I wouldn’t bring a lady friend this way…

The Erin Inn is a smaller dive bar located just south of the Brairgate Area. It has a friendly neighborhood bar vibe. The drinks are reasonably priced and comparable to the other bars in the area. It also features a great happy hour which is great for grabbing a few beers right after the work day. There is a limited menu which is cooked in a greaseless fryer, the food is very good but it can take a few minutes to recieve as only 1 – 2 items can be cooked at a time, and the kitchen is very small. The staff is always friendly and attentive and great at handling any issues that may arise during the evenings. There is a large mix of people who come into the bar, and the crowd varies from night to night with a good mix of younger and sometimes older patrons. Poker and Karaōke nights tend to draw a large crowd which can understandbly slow down service, but overall the bar has great service and the staff do a great job keeping up with the customers and making sure everyone is taken care of. I would highly recommend the Erin Inn for anyone looking for a good neighborhood bar that doesn’t try to be anything other than what it is.

This place is fantastic! Great staff, friendly people that get to know you, and reasonable prices! Also, I do not know about how it used to be but I have not had any problems at all with the crowd since I have been coming to the Erin Inn(and I have been there often from 8pm till close!)

I’m spending 6 weeks in the springs training for a job. The folks at Erin Inn have treated me like family since I first stumbled upon the place. I usually go for happy hour and when I walk in the door I hear several people yell Hi Bill. Its great to be able to hang out with regular friendly folks when St. Loouis is so far away.

i don’t agree with the other review for the most part. I had a great experience there moved to Co 4years ago and that has been my go to for great after work drinks and people. Prices are great! The bartenders are awesome and they have free happy hour food every fri. Sundays for football and the races are pot-lucks so definatly great regulars. I never had any night time issues that any other place hasn’t had and the owner is a Doll! Classic bar food but made with a greaseless fryer. Karaōke is always fun. Great for darts and pool. I also have asked about the sign and was told it was not due to any issue just put up after the concelled weapons issue was granted for CO. Not for any gun or knife issue. Overall i have enjoyed the atmosphere at the Erin Inn and plan to go back!

Ambiance: More run down than you would think, considering it’s north end location. This is a working class and unemployed person’s bar. Sort of a rough crowd, and gets downright dangerous later in the evening(there have been several instances of scuffles involving knives and guns.) In fact there is a sign at the door that no weapons are allowed inside the bar(enough said!). Small horseshoe bar, where you sit not on stools, but regular dining room chairs, since the bar itself is sort of subterranean. Juke box, pool tables and darts. Quiet more mature crowd until around 8, then turns rowdy and rough. Overall, the bar is very dark. Karaōke on weekends. Service: Bartenders are very friendly and attentive. Good people. Drink/Snacks: Decent selection of liquor, drinks are reasonably priced and good strength. Some complimentary hot food is served on Friday happy hours. Overall, the crowd is a turn off for me here. Crowd can be aggressive to people they don’t know. Though the name is Erin Inn, there is nothing remotely Irish about this place.
