This was my first time shopping here & I’m really happy with my items and the experience! The prices are really low on beautiful items from nice designer labels. I had to resist the temptation to buy handbags, but they have good coach, Kate Spade, etc. Also, I wasn’t in the market for a LBD, but they had a lot of styles to choose from! Great styles, nicely organized, great selection! I’m recommending to friends & returning!

Great business clothes at great prices. Well organized by style and color. Everything averages about $ 10.00. They have a decent selection of purses too.

This was my first time going to Clothes Mentor and I will not be back. I am confused on how they decide what clothes to buy from you, because I took in very nice, name-brand clothes they said were«too old.» When did Kenneth Cole black pumps ever go out of style?!? The girl told me they wouldn’t accept anything over 2 years old, but the ONE item they made me an offer on was a sweater that was twice as old as most of the clothes in the basket(which were no more than 3 years old). I am convinced that the discrimination process is purely subjective and has no consistency at all. P. S. While I browsed around, they were trying to sell a pair of pink canvas BOB shoes that were so filthy dirty, yet refused multiple pairs of my barely worn BCBG and Kenneth Cole heels. WTH! Time to reevaluate the screening process, Management.

Do not leave your clothes here! They will tell you the wait to sort through them is way longer than expected and then they will text you within minutes of you leaving the store notifying they are done processing your items. When you return to pick up your clothes it’s blatantly obvious they haven’t even gone through your items as they are still neatly folded exactly as you brought them. Then they give you some spiel«which is a complete lie» about why they could only buy a couple of things so as to not hurt your feelings. If they aren’t going to treat customers with respect but only simply waste their time they should let them know from the start.

This place is absolutely ridiculous on what they will and will not buy from you. They say they don’t take anything outside of their 2 year fashion window. I have brought in bags and bags of name brand clothing and none of it was accepted, but then I see they have similar items available to buy. I recently brought in 3 designer purses, Coach, Dooney and Vera Bradley. They did not accept them because of a «slight odor.» I had sprayed a very little Febreze fabric refresher on the inside to freshen them up since they had not been used in quite some time. I have never found anything worth buying in this store, and find the staff to be very arrogant when you try to sell them very nice items. Would not recommend this place either for buying or selling.

I went in this morning to turn in some items and I was shocked by how incredibly rude Jackie was. I was told that«if my items were stolen it was my problem and not hers». I was told that«she could text me to tell me when my items have been reviewed but she wouldn’t pay my cell phone bill». It went on… The overall presentation of their policies was rude and unnecessary. I called back to the store to speak to a manager. I spoke to Shayna who proceeded to explain that«that IS the way» they present their policy. She offered to have another manager contact me. I left with my items and requested a THREDUP bag online. I would not recommend supporting this business. If they can’t be polite to the people that keep them in business they don’t deserve our support. Very rude!

I do like to go to this store you can find some very good bargains when a buyer. Beware that as a seller, if they do decide to buy items,(I’ve walked in with a bag full of name brand and they took nothing) depending on the person you get, try not to be insulted. Firstly, I was told they don’t take walmart brand. Alright, except I’ve found multiple pieces that are walmart and Kmart brands… BTW I shop at Walmart, I’m not putting them down. Secondly, the bs that they don’t take things that are more than 2 years out of style. I would like to look at the gap items that are in their store and see if they meet the guidelines. Thirdly, try very hard when you bring in something particularly nice(pure cashmere sweater from bloomingdales, on the«older» side) and you are offered $ 6.50, try not to be offended. Lastly, any shoes that are satin, don’t bother no matter the brand. Along with that some of the individuals need to learn brands, first the excuse was on a worn pair of Stuart weitzman ’ s, she couldn’t tell what brand they were from the inside because the suede was worn. When I looked at her and recommended to turn them over where they say made in Spain and have the brand symbol on the sole, the excuse was they were too worn. I walked away, but I did vent to a friend that goes there and they said if this specific person was working the buying counter, they would not even bother bringing their stuff from the car.

I received one of their advertisements in the mail, asking for people to bring in their clothing to consign. First, let me say that the ladies working were lovely — very sweet and professional. However… they claim to want name brand and designer clothing but have no real knowledge of designer clothing and/or pricing. They only wanted my cheaper items(loft, gap) and couldn’t figure out what to do with some of my nicer items. They weren’t familiar with designers and brands that sell through stores like Norstroms, Madewell or Anthropologie — and had no idea what to offer or price them for(offered $ 3 for a never-worn dress shirt that had retailed for $ 120 last year). The store was very clean, the clothing very nicely organized. From their advertising, I was hoping for something that was a bit nicer than Plato’s closet — something funkier with some interesting/independent labels. No such luck.

Went here for the first time today and it was great! Everyone that worked there was super friendly and the store was really well organized. Items are separated by size, color, and item(tops, pants, skirts, etc.). While browsing I came across several items that were brand new and a fraction of the price! I purchased 4 tops, 1 cardigan sweater, and a Coach wristlet all for just over $ 50. Two of the tops were brand new! I don’t know how it works to take your clothes items there for purchase, but they said they’re always accepting items. I shall return :-)
