This. Place. Is. Awesome! I just had a crab cake sandwich and Parmesan fries with homemade ketchup. The best crab and the best sandwich I’ve ever had. What a cool atmosphere, very clean building, and fantastic service and prices! A must try!

This place has some interesting and unique food to offer! But, come prepared to intake some calories and to be offered a menu not containing«normal» dishes. Their menu is not too large, but has a good range of items from duck, to their popular bacon jam burger, to fried chicken and waffles, which I had, to bone marrow and pork belly. I went with a large group and most people seemed to be pleased with the place. To start off with, they provide popcorn with bacon grease on-the-house. It was quite good. We decided to share jalapeño bites and brussel sprouts for appetizers and they were both really good! For my dish, I’ve had chicken and waffles at a few different places and I think the actual presentation was better than the execution here(it was a pretty dish). There was too much waffle for the amount of chicken and it was too dry – there wasn’t enough syrup. Also, the syrup they provide for the dish is a combo of maple and some kind of spicy sauce, I can’t quite remember exactly. The chicken was good – moist on the inside and had crispy skin, but I would not order this dish again because the combo of the two items didn’t work well. The prices are kind of high for the establishment. I think you are partly paying for the beautiful food presentation.

This has become my favorite eatery in Colorado Springs. Some friends took me there and amaze-balls is all that comes to mind in describing it. I am going to go through the foods so that you can understand the deliciousness that Brother Luck has created. The first time I went there was five of us, well six if you count a toddler. I had the Duck Confit Cubano(DCC) and the only thing bad about it was that I had to give bites to my friends, I LOSTHALFMYSANDWICH(tears welled in my eyes). This sandwich should be called heroin because I was hooked off the first bite. It comes with fries and homemade ketchup, and I am not a fries person but these are good. The five of us agreed the DCC and the Chicken and Waffles(C&W) were the best things we ordered. The level of savory and sweet from the C&W was off the chain good. It was a true battle to figure out which I personally liked more, and I think the DCC only one out because I was so looking forward to trying it. A must have appetizer for your group or even if you are eating solo is the Tempura Jalapeño Poppers. Even if the rest of the food was crap I would still come here for these(thankfully that isn’t the case). These things are godly. It should be noted that they are not the spiciest, but they are something special. They have these pickled radishes and this jalapeño relish with it, and well it is just a fried ball of creamy awesomeness. I don’t remember what one of our group had, but the other two had a burger and a steak special they had for Friday night. It should be mentioned that both guys found these to be delicious, but they just didn’t live up to the DCC and C&W. The steak was dead on perfectly cooked to his request, and the burger was delicious. My friend with the burger had been to Brother Luck twice and had burgers both times, and he really likes them, but even he said there just something about the DCC and C&W that beat his burger. It should be mentioned that Brother Luck doesn’t give out free bread or chips & salsa when you sit down, they give out this spicy, bacon greased popcorn. Sounds bad for you? Well if you look at the food I described it is, and so is everything else, but this popcorn is great. They actually hooked me up with a to-go box of it the last time we went there, and when I went with the group we had them refill it like 3 – 4 times. Brother Luck is not a place you go for if you are on a diet, unless it is a cheat day. If you want great food in a good atmosphere, with good service it is your spot. The food didn’t take long to get there. They don’t have beer on draft, but do have a nice selection. I wasn’t a fan of the 400lb monkey, but the Power of Zeus was good. The one issue I would say is that I heard they are planning to change their menu in the near future to be more of a course meal restaurant, and this will include menu changes. This scares me, I think their current style and food is amazing. If you want another way of me describing how good this place is, well here you go. My mom, the woman who brought me into this world, is coming to town in a few weeks for a visit, and there are only two places that are must eats for her visit. Jake and Telly’s Greek Taverna and Brother Luck. Last time she came to town I got her hooked on Jake and Telley’s, and this time I’m getting her hooked on Brother Luck.

In my opinion the best restaurant in Colorado Springs!!! Found it by chance one night when we were looking for a place to eat in Old Colorado. The food is creative and delicious!

Everyone had been talking about how good this place was and being the food lover that I am, I just had to get in and try it. We sat down and got greeted with a bowl of pig fat popcorn, YUM. Then we started with the pork belly tacos. The pico was amazing and complimented the pork belly so well and the tortillas were nice and crunchy. I had the Green chile gravy Poutine and let me tell you, one of the best Poutine variations I’ve ever had. My friend had the Bacon Mac and cheese and the tenderness of the pork belly with the creamy richness of the cheese mixture was perfection. The three items we had were amazing and leaves me wanting to come back to try more! Nice quant atmosphere as well with friendly service. Highly recommend to anyone out there!

This wasn’t exactly the lite bite we were looking for on our way to the airport after an indulgent ski weekend. But what’s the harm in extending the indulgence for one more meal? Diet starts tomorrow :-) The bacon jam bloody mary was a tad interesting. Not sure I’d order a second, but it was worth experiencing. The breakfast flatbread was excellent. The pickled onions really helped add texture and cut the richness of the eggs, hollandaise, and bread. I look forward to an excuse to return and try more of the made-from-scratch fare.

This restaurant is a whole lot of yum packed in a little old Victorian house. The interior is updated with bold paint and great local art. It’s small, but comfortable. The big news, however, is the terrific food. Everything from the Brussel sprouts to the burgers was delicious and unique. Recommend the poppers and the bacon jam Mac and cheese. Oh my. So good. We will come back every time we are in Colorado Springs!

This place is overrated. The food is basically pub-grub and is very heavy. My wife’s cocktail, a Paloma, was toothachingly sweet. The service was«out to lunch;» our waitress was never around and it seemed we waited a very long time before(another) waitress noticed our check had not been picked up yet. This is not on my must-visit list in Colorado Springs.

After recommendations from different family members, my wife and I decided to go on a date at Brother Luck Street Eats. We’re not really foodies(although we have watched our fair share of Food Network), and I think there’s a fine line in foodieism between being innovative and being pretentious. From our experience, Brother Luck Street Eats has innovative, creative, and fun dishes without going over the top of being snobby. It’s easy for a restaurant to win me over if they have good duck – and the duck at Brother Luck Street Eats was outstanding. Specifically, I had the Duck Confit Cubano, which contained both duck confit and duck Spam. It was a fantastic sandwich, and some of the best duck I’ve had. It was incredibly delicious, both at the restaurant and as cold leftovers the next day. The service was great and the atmosphere was fun, but the food is really what makes the place worth it. It’s a bit pricey, but considering what you get I think it’s fair. I’d definitely recommend it to others(as a matter of fact, I already have). Seriously, try the duck.

Great Food, Great Drinks! It was so nice to find some of the food scene I am used to, being from Austin it’s hard to find here. Get the buffalo pig ears and a maple Manhattan! MAKE A RESERVATION!

Chatting with the Brother Luck and picking his brain was fantastic. Great, down-to-earth dude who is seriously excited about bringing real, tangible gastronomy to Colorado Springs. I’m honestly convinced you could throw a dart at this menu while blindfolded and still walk away enjoying whichever meal the fates decided. Honestly, do that. But throw a few darts; it’s that good.

3.5,this spot was recommended by my buddy so it was our first dinner stop. We ended up getting there a little before closing but service was just as friendly and helpful as if it was the start of dinner service. I ended up ordering their short rib and it was okay. Fork tender but little on the sweeter side for my taste. The food was honestly ok. I think maybe it was a little hyped up by my friend but I thought it was just okay. The food was good, and I enjoyed it but there was nothing that made me go nuts for it. A solid local spot sure, but nothing that I would make a special trip for.

Let’s get the bad stuff out of the way. Even though the front of the house was less than 50% seated our order was misfired and my wife and I waited over 40 minutes for our meal. Miscommunication happens when your in the weeds, but this was just plain old lack of attention. Once we pointed out the excessive wait our meals arrived in about 10 to 12 minutes which tells us that the orders were put in after the complaint. Once the food arrived I was pleasantly surprised with the hangover burger but my wife’s steak and eggs were under seasoned. The fries that come with the burger were perfect and the burger itself was nailed on cook temp and juiciness. The server tried to comp us the meal, which is a very nice gesture, but we refused and snuck in the entire bill under the pretense of leaving a tip.

Oh this is a double edged sword. When we finally got our food(40 minutes after we ordered on a slow Sunday brunch), it was delicious. Really solid food. I ordered the steak and eggs with potatoes which was a play on a ham steak with I think fried baby kale. The potatoes had jalapeños but it was a little under seasoned. A little dash of salt and pepper and it was back in the game. My hubs ordered the burger with bacon jam, fried jalapeño popper and fried egg. The waitress brought out the burger but then we had to wait for the egg and popper to come out. More waiting. The burger itself was delicious and a solid if not very messy burger. The waitress knew we were less than thrilled when we asked once where our food was and then watched a four top get their order before us even though they ordered almost ten minutes after us. She comped the whole meal including our tea and coffee. We really appreciated her doing this for us. Based on the flavors and their response we made sure we paid for the meal.

I didn’t want to give this low of stars, but I can’t bring myself to give any higher than 2 stars. We were passing through the Springs trying to get to the zoo before a CSU pueblo football game. Long story short we didn’t make it to the zoo and decided to find a cool restaurant to try out instead. Looked on Unilocal and saw Brother Luck and the awesome reviews. Decided to swing by. We arrived and the waitress told us to find a seat and that’s she’d be a few minutes, which was fine. She comes and says she’s gonna bring us water and popcorn and return later for drink orders. She brought and drinks and took the order, but after that I feel like she pretty much forgot about us. There three other small groups there and she seemed to spend more time chatting with them then checking on us. She forgot to bring silverware, clear our empty drink cups, forgot to bring the popcorn after being asked literally 3 times. She spent more time chatting up the other table about random things. It was really annoying. The chef was very friendly and actually helped us out more than the waitress. He brought out silverware and condiments, etc… The food was good and that was definitely an upside to the experience. The Bacon Jam Burger was definitely as good as mentioned by other Unilocalers! I will say however that I did not feel the pricing for the dishes was right. I felt What really upset us the most was that waitress was beyond unprofessional. My Boyfriend was taking his medication and the one time she actually came to check on us was to actually ask him if he just had just used an EpiPen on himself and explained how she’s always wanted to see that done! First of all WTF! Second of all, where is it ever appropriate to ask a customer about their personal health when you are at work!!! Aside from that she was so busy talking up everyone else and otherwise ignoring us that we were late getting out of there and missed the beginning of the game. Unfortunately because of the waitress I can;t give this place more stars. She really ruined the experience for us and it just left us with a bad view of this place.

I love food. I appreciate good cooking very much. We found this place passing through Springs on a trip, and we may be back just to eat here. I love how so much of my meal was grown right outside the restaurant. I tried a bite of everyone in my family’s food(yes I’m that person). Everything had wonderfully complex and dynamic flavors creatively fit together like art. Even the ketchup was uniquely good. I also liked the ambiance and décor of the place. It seems like a good place to go on a date with another foodie.

We realized we made Regulars Status when we walked in this week and were greeted with, «Sit wherever you want. Should we start the Jalapeño Poppers for you?» And yes, those poppers should be the start of any meal at Brother Lucks. The menu at this restaurant is small and thoughtful with carefully picked items that will please both adventurous and safe eaters. The appetizers are especially fun to read through. Have you had bone marrow crowned tater tots? I didn’t think so. Though you should add them to your culinary bucket list. I like trying new dishes but find myself alternating between the Shrimp and Grits and Bacon Jam Burger most days. The Shrimp and Grits colorful and light, with a sufficient shrimp count and topped with a perfectly runny egg. The last time I visited I ordered the Bacon Jam Burger medium-rare and while it arrived without any pink, I found it to be unbelievably juicy and tender. The person I dined with ordered the Pork Belly Mac and Cheese. It was so wonderfully rich and flavorful that she was sad she had to leave behind a few twirls of cheesy cavatappi pasta. Brother Lucks moved from a corner of the Triple Nickel Tavern to its own spot in a converted house on West Colorado Ave. The new digs are pretty intimate; I don’t see much room for a large party. Red and Black dominate the décor and small two-seater tables and a few high top tables filled the smallish space. There’s a small bar for solo diners or folks who might want to settle in for Happy Hour. Most days you’re lucky enough to see Brother Luck himself popping in and out of the kitchen. He chats with diners with a humble charm. I imagine people will follow him«Pied Piper of Hamelin”-style were he to move to a bigger location someday.

We found this little fun place for dinner on our weekend away in the springs. We were staying at a bed and breakfast a couple blocks away. The only hard part was crossing Colorado ave, so make sure to cross at a light! There is a nice patio with some good sized tables, but not a ton. The inside is also not huge, there is bar seating, some small tables to the left and some larger tables to the right. If the staff is not being diligent sitting to the right can leave you on your own. We had hoped for a table outside, but were informed no such luck. We saw others come and ask for outdoor tables be told they could enjoy a beverage at the bar and then get seated outside. Had we known that, we would have waited! The staff did their best and did direct us toward the jalapeño poppers — mmmm! little balls of love! So amazing! Next time we would order a set for each of us! We then went with tacos — mushrooms for me, pork belly for the hubby. They came in sets of 3, we really would have preferred to be able to mix and match, but they were still tasty! We saw some tables with a delicious looking popcorn and had to ask if we could have some as well! We heard about some of specials, like tuesdays and some other fixed prix meals and really wished we lived closer! All in all it is a place we would go back to if we were there again! We would just know the way to do it!
