Billy’s Old World Pizza

Billy’s Old World Pizza is the BEST pizza in town. I’m not a tremendous supporter of the buffet, but for $ 10 it’s worth what you get. I LOVE the Chicago Design, Old World Special. Big Deep Dish. They do not set this one on the buffet. They deliver it anywhere in town for an additional $ 3.

If I were going to review this place based on the buffet, the restaurant atmosphere, or the service, it wouldn’t be five stars. But I am giving Billy’s five stars because Billy’s deep dish pizza is the best pizza in Colorado Springs. Sure, the owner is a little gruff. He talks fast and he doesn’t suffer fools. If you’re from Chicago or the East coast you may be used to this. The restaurant’s interior is outdated. If you’ve ever been in for the buffet, it’s not horrible, but I certainly wouldn’t call it the best pizza. I wouldn’t call any pizza buffet the best, though, they’re simply not that great.
But if you should order a deep dish pizza for delivery or take out, you are really in for a good thing. We usually order two: one meats and one veggies. We let the staff choose the meats and the veggies and holy cow is it good. Everything’s fresh and piping hot. My whole family is happy with this and we usually have enough for leftovers– almost as good the next day. Give Billy’s a try.

Came to this place because according to other reviews it was a amazing deep dish pizza but encounter myself with old pizza, i ask if they would put out any fresh and was told by the waiter cook was Not going to. The place name has «Pizza» on it, i expected pizza. The price was $ 10.50 if you wondering. The buffet was fair and salad bar ok. Other than that if you looking for pizza maybe not the place unless you order one, pay for it and then pay the buffet on top of that.

If you want a piece of Chicago we highly recommend Billy’s. Our pizza was the very best we’ve had in COS… For that matter Colorado. We had planned on going to another restaurant in the same area but they had a waiting list. We stumbled on Billy’s and are so very thankful for the delicious pie. The inside has a rundown Chicago vibe. Outdated interior but that’s what makes it unique.

The pizza, sausage, meatballs & pasta sauce are made with fresh ingredients & are delicious!

Only had the thick Chicago-​style meat-​lovers, but it was great. Delivery was decently fast, no long waits or cold food (and I live in a house that doesn’t always show up GPS). This is a very heavy meal and high calorie count, but oh so good…

I wish FAT Americans would get past looking for a good buffet. Food was not meant to be made and sit under a heat lamp until being consumed in ridiculously gargantuan proportions by people who sit in front of a computer all day. I’ve never been to this place so can’t really review, but was disgusted to see that the only negative comments were about the buffet. How bout ordering a fresh pizza? Don’t be so stinking impatient to stuff ur face.

The owner is a Chicago native and it shows in the food. I too am from Chicago and became excited to see that I could get a deep dish Chicago-​Style right here in the Springs. It did not disappoint. I cannot wait to try the Italian Beef sandwiches. He makes it homemade and says they are better than Portillos. I wouldn’t think that was possible and look forward to tasting it. If it’s anything like his deep dish with homemade Italian sausage I am in for a treat!

Can’t speak to the pizza (hate this style)…can’t speak to the buffet (I try to avoid those)…HOWEVER…Billy’s has the very best Italian beef sandwhiches outside of Chicago (and quite frankly, better than many in Chicago)…run by a guy from Cicero if I recall correctly, so he clearly knows what he’s doing. For those in Colorado unititiated to this delicacy, you will find it uninspiring if you order it plain. For the fullest experience, you MUST:
–Ask for it «wet/​dipped»
–Order with sweet and hot peppers
Bun will be a falling apart soggy mess… and if you can’t deal with that, you don’t want an authentic Italian Beef… damn fine!

Great homemade taste snd quality. If gluten free you will like the gluten free pizza. Order in advance so they can make the crust.

First time going and was not impressed Buffet was old and killed by heat lamps. Place was empty. For those prices I should of got a steak at Texas Roadhouse.

Like others have stated, you should know something is up when there is constantly a «Grand Opening» sign hanging out front and it’s always empty. Shabby pizza buffet for Golden Corral prices. The salad bar looked like it had been in the sun for a few days. There were flies. The pizza bar was not even to par with a Cicis pizza buffet. Wood panel walls. High school class room tiles. A lil shag carpet here and there. We ordered our drinks to distract the waitress while we ran for the door. Never been back but see that they have added strobes to dazzle the sheeple into their door. Try any gas station pizza before eating here.

Great pizza & Italian. Owner was very friendly & cooked items fresh on buffet for us. Could use a little update but overall great food!

Wow I got the old world meat lover pizza last night and enjoyed every moment of the experience. The man I spoke to on the was very nice and explained the pizza to me. The taste was perfect and the sauce is wonderful. Do yourself a favor and order your today you can thank me later.

Just went to Billy’s pizza at 8:30. Even though closing time is 9:00 pm, he had everything shut down. While he apologized it upsets me to post hours and not follow them.

Damn it, I really wanted to love this place. Until last Thursday I’d driven by for years. Shoulda realized something was up when you walk in and the place is a ghost town. The lunch buffet is $ 9.25, and while not sprawling it was nicely appointed with housemade pizza, pasta, sausage, salad, soup, etc.
Here’s where the 1 star rating comes into play…
The food, especially the pizza was lukewarm. That night I ended up getting sick and vomiting. The friend that was with me got the runs.
I’m not saying this to do harm to Billy’s, or to get anything. You can see that my 500+ reviews are fair and straight-​up. I’m just hoping that Billy’s will have some better food safety practices.

I drove by this place and it caught my eye. I decided to pop in and try it out. SO GLAD I DID.
The waitress explained that everything is handmade. I enjoyed their lunch Italian buffet and I must say the pizza was extraordinary! So was the homemade potato soup. The best thing of all was the Italian sausage. Now I don’t even like sausage but felt compelled to try it since it was on the buffet. It is homemade and this place even stuffs it themselves!
Their sausage was so good that I ordered delivery from this place for dinner and ate the charbroiled Italian sausage.
The delivery was prompt and the food excellent.

I think the phrase ‘I have had worse” would be the most appropriate for Billy’s. I would describe it as slightly better than school cafeteria lunch. There is nothing that would drive my desire to return — not much ambience, service was okay, and the food was unremarkable.

The guy has good intentions. Buffet would be better if things were fresh– only thing I was excited for was the lasagna. He kept telling everyone he had sausage in the back and then proceeded to tell us why it was kept in the back– I get it but seriously? Place is kind of run down.

Order Chicago-​style deep dish meat lovers. Billy’s is amazing, don’t listen to any other cynical reviews. The first time I had it 3 years ago I knew it was a unique place for Colorado Springs. It’s difficult to get quality deep dish pizza outside of Chicago. Billy’s delivers the goods. Why are you still reading? Call up some people and order!
