Had a great store experience but when my glasses arrived they never called or emailed to let me know they were in. They claim to have called but even if they did wouldn’t they leave a message or call again since the glasses have been sitting there for over a week?

Not sure why everyone says they are not good. I went there today and the 4 people I interacted with were all super friendly and helpful! 5 stars!

As an individual without insurance that needs glasses, this place is a blessing! Affordable, plenty of styles to choose from, fast. However… The staff needs some customer service training. They were always preoccupied with a conversation with each other and made me wait. Or they didn’t know what they were doing. In the case of adjusting my glasses, it took 30 minutes and got worse before I got better and as the employee was adjusting them she said she had no idea what she was doing and it was obvious. When I was talking to the Dr about night driving it was suggested that I get a tinted glass for my night driving glass, rose or yellow in tint… The Dr had no idea if that store sold such things and he was new to town so couldn’t refer me anywhere. I got to pick out a frame and guess what I see 3 – 4 displays of… TINTED glasses! Has the Dr not taken a walk through his own place of employment??? If I had another option of affordable eye exams with the same selection, I wouldn’t go here just on the fact of customer service.

This place is horrible. I actually think I was bothering them by coming in. Every person I had to interact with was rude and annoyed– except the doc. Dr. Sandra Barthram was great– but why she would associate her name with a place like this makes me question why she isn’t working somewhere else. I would go into details about all the hassle they put me through and the three different times I had to take off work because they were so disorganized… but I don’t think they care. I’m writing this for you reader– STAYAWAY UPDATE9÷4÷15 Nancy– You all reaching out to me is appreciated, but things have not been made right. I won’t be returning to America’s Best.

I only get contacts and exams there, no glasses. They are ok. I Never get the same doctor, but my eyes don’t have any special issues so, for me they work out just fine. Edit: I had to knock the star rating down a notch. They made me make a whole other appointment just to get a different pair of trial contacts. The ones they gave me are absolute garbage and all I need is a trial of a different type. My old ones were discontinued and now I have to try something new I should not have to make an appointment for something so simple.

I wanted to change things up and come to Americas best for contacts, I usually go to Visionworks and now I know I will keep going to Visionworks! I was running 4 minutes late because of traffic and I even called to let them know I was a few minutes late and the lady put me on hold twice to ask the doctor if they would even take me. The receptionist came back on the phone and told me the Doctor won’t take me and I will have to reschedule. For being 4 minutes late?! Wow! Good customer service… NOT! Good to know I will never return.

I visited this store last year and had a mediocre experience. Flash forward to today– I am in a emergency situation, where I lost my last contact for one eye in the middle of a road trip to a music festival– where I would really like to be able to see. After several attempts to explain my situation to the woman on the phone, she told me she would not issue my prescription to another Americas best store because it’s a HIPPA violation… I’m sorry? The same company? Very rude and ignorant about her job. She also told me she can’t issue anything without me bringing in my receipt from almost a year ago, 20 minutes after I told her I’m driving through Indiana. She put me on a 5th hold, and then returned saying that I couldn’t buy anything from their company because my prescription is almost expired. What good is an expiration date if it isnt eligible for use previous to that date? Mind you, I’m An America’s Best member, and will now never use the services for which I previously paid.

My teenage son and I needed our eyes examined to renew our eyeglass perscriptions. I searched online and found America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses. Decided to check them out. They have a great special going on at this time. Free eye exam and 2 complete pairs of single lense eyeglasses for only $ 69.95. Called and made a same day appointment. Arrived at America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses and was greeted by the employees as soon as we walked in. There were several young ladies at the desk that immediately ask if they could assist me. I was provided the forms I needed to fill out. Returned the forms when completed. Was politely told to go to the waiting area by the exam rooms. The wait was short and the optical technician did an initial exam on my son 1st then me. When It was my turn I asked for an alcohol pad to wipe the area you place your forehead and chin. The technician was a little suprised. I thought it was common practice to wipe off equipment after each use. The Optometrist called us into see her for our official eye exam immediately after our initial exam. Very professional and very nice. She was thorough and explained everything to us. After our eye exams my son and I looked for frames. They have a wide selection of frames to choose from and more. If you don’t want to choose from the frames on special they have a great selection of named brand frames to choose from as well. The optician that helped us finalize payment informed us of all the options we had(i.e. different types of lenses and other upgraded options avaliable). Our glasses will be ready in 7 to 10 business days. I will receive an automated call as well as a call from one of the staff when the glasses are ready for pick up. Overall great experience. Good customer service and great selection of glasses.
