I love all the pies and their cute tag along names that go with them. The restaurant is rustic and quaint. My only complaint is lack of staff here. Only one person serving, bussing and checking you out. If your dinning in and want to wait for an hour for one piece of pie, or wait 20 min for take out then go for it. That’s ridiculous when you see staff members just hanging about. I want to scream«help me»! This place has so much potential and could be a great hot spot. I hope it’s staff improves so I can come back to relax with some hot pie instead of being stressed and wanting to get the hell out of there!

I don’t give reviews as often as I probably should, but this one deserves one! These pies are damn good!!! I cannot wait to try the dessert pie I could not have while there as I stuffed myself with the chicken tarragon pie for lunch/dinner. My husband had the Julia pie and it was also fan-freaking-tastic(because obviously I tried it). The potatoes were greet and the salad was fab. I really cannot wait to go back. I don’t know what I will try next, but I’m guessing the pork chile.

We had a lovely dinner and dessert. I had the Besto Pesto sandwich and a slice of Nutella pie. Thanks for setting up a place for my friend in the wheel chair. 3.14159265358979324…

The food is 5 star for sure. Service excellent and friendly. The pies we had were excellent. The Julia’s Child was superb. Kind of an out of the way location, but that’s actually a plus. Definitely worth another visit. The reason for 4 stars is that it could use a little more ambience, but hey, it’s a neighborhood gem.

Great lunch meal! The pork pie and beef pie were both excellent. Sat outside. Beautiful day. I ve had better apple pies. The apples were under cooked. Coconut pie was good.

The food it absolutely scrumptious! I had the Julia Child’s Pie, and it was one of the best pot pies I have ever eaten! The use of mushroom and carrots with the pearl onions was a masterpiece. Then the key west pie for dessert, was a little slice of heaven! This is a must try place! –Chaz

Been here a few times already. Great pot pies. I’ve had the«Julia’s Child» with beef bourgeon, the«Chicken of Aragorn» with roasted chicken, and the«Pork Green Chile» which I just love. Today we went tot their first Sunday Brunch(9a-2p). I had the Biscuits & Gravy, with 2 eggs, over easy, and potatoes. It was fantastic and only $ 8. Everything is made from scratch and they are constantly trying new things. So, expect additions and subtractions from the menu every now and then. Adding and trying new wines as well. Great hidden gem in Mountain Shadows. Check it out!

I didn’t think I needed a Pie place… but you know what? I do. I do need a pie place. And this place is it. I feel like Sweet and Savory Pi Bar is the pie place I need. They have delicious and different variations of pot pie(like beef and mushroom or pork green chile) that you can even order frozen and take home when you feel the need to have more pie than you can stuff in your face in one sitting. The biscuits and gravy are good, but a little on the dry side. They could be a little more generous with the gravy… The coffee is decent and the scones are so good! The lemon, blueberry and some other delicious ingredient I can’t remember Bread Pudding was so shockingly delicious! So much there that I want to go back and try! It’s a small, quaint place and not great for groups but perfect for 2 – 4 people at a table. And the server we had was just amazing! So I will reiterate… I need a pie place. This is the pie place I feel I need… Not only can I get savory pies, fruit pies, scones, coffee, breakfast, lunch, etc. but I can also get a mixed drink… and all from a happy server… Well… not much more to say is there? It all adds up… the perfect equation. ;) Pi…

We had a very tasty & enjoyable dinner there recently. I like the ‘small’, non-chain, neighborhood atmosphere. Service was good. Good selection of savory(dinner) pies & lots of sweet(dessert) pies. Nice wine selection. I love this place & we’ll be back!

We went here for Sunday lunch and were very pleased. My wife had the Norwegian which she loved. I had the Steak and Drunken Mushroom Pie with mashed potatoes. The gravy was great and the pie had tons of flavor. Friendly service. It’s worth checking out! We’ll be back!

These savory pies are to die for! We had the Shepherd’s pie and Rosemary’s Chicken pot pie– both delicious! We did not have room for desert, but their many sweet pies looked fabulous. They have suggested beer and wine pairings on their menu and host some local beers on tap. For the non-alcohol drinker they had some nice teas, coffee, soft drinks and Italian sodas. We will be back!

Great service, comfortable atmosphere and good, really good, food. The portions are just right, the freshness is apparent, and the presentation is rustic and appealing. I had a southwestern pot pie, and the flavors were spot on. I really appreciated the generous portion of meat, it was tender and succulent and melded well with the other flavors of the dish. I had a slice of key lime to go, and it was perfect. I had a bite of my wife’s pizza, and it had such a nice balance and layers of flavor that I seldom see… anywhere. The price bordered on high, but really the quality and taste of the food justified it in the end. We’re sorry we took so long to visit, but we’ll be returning soon with friends and family.

Who doesn’t love pie??? It is such comforting food. This place is welcoming, light, airy and delicious most of all. I got a greek side salad before my satisfying and very filling shepard’s pot pie. All recommended. Will be trying a desert next time.

I took my family out on national PIE day to eat some PIE, we ended up eating PI because that’s how they do things there. We ordered 2 coffees one OJ en 3 slices of PI. I had to call my bank for a loan because my total was around 30 dollars(including tip) We had the pecan bacon, Apple and chocolate pie. Everything was really good, I just couldn’t get over de fact that they charge 6 $ for one slice of pie. In my opinion you could bake a hole pie for less then 6 $. Is that worth it? Maybe it is. For me and my house? Not so much

I have found nirvana! I’m so happy I dropped in ~ the coconut cream pie is beyond delicious, loaded with coconut in a rich Bavarian cream, topped with real whipped cream and toasted coconut! I also indulged in a slice of blueberry sour cream pie, with streusel topping. Piled up in a very flaky, crunchy crust, this pie is filled with fresh, juicy blueberries mixed with just the right amount of sour cream. The crumb topping leads your taste buds in a HAPPYDANCE! They also serve amazing pot pies~ I had a delicious chicken, bacon, carrot mixture in a delicate cream sauce with a touch of tarragon. Another surprise within is an art gallery along the walls! They will feature different artists every two months. Like I said — nirvana!

What a find this place was. Friendly staff recommending dishes we would like. Food for the vegetarian and the meat lover. My daughter loved her veggie quiche while I adored the Guiness meat pie. The crust was light and flakey. I surprised my daughter with a gluten free chocolate Nutella pie. We loved it. If you are in this area as we were to visit Garden of the Gods you must eat here.

Yes!!! One more place in the Rockrimmon area! It’s actually in Mountain Shadow, but that’s close enough. LOL Came for dinner on a Friday night. The place was pretty empty save for some friends of the owner. We did not know that the menu is ONLYONTHEBOARD. So the poor waitress read us out loud the info. That felt awkward. I wish they had some table menus. The staff said that they don’t have menu because of the daily specials, but I still feel like a simple word document would be sufficient and cost effective to have menus for patrons. I had the EYAYOO salad, which was ok(it came with a side of ranch… mmmmmm, I would have preferred a home-made vinaigrette of sort) the dressing was in a single serve SOLO cup. It could have been presented better, but that’s ok. They are probably still tweaking things, so no judgment. I also had the Vegetarian quiche, and my friend had the bacon onion and gouda quiche. OMG they were delicious. Super buttery, flaky and tasty. We will definitely be back. Best of luck to this new business. SUPPORTLOCAL. ^__^

Very limited supply of pie options, which is surprising, considering it’s a pie store. Coconut crème, Almond Joy, Pecan, Chocolate. That’s it. Coconut crème was good. Exceptional, even. Almond-Joy pie was the same thing but with a chocolate crust and chocolate filling and almonds and a bit over-the-top. Chocolate pie was as-described. Finally, a pecan pie had bourbon? No fruit pies that day, just the four(really just 3, because Almond Joy was a half coconut, half chocolate in-reality). Now, they have«savory» pies such as chili-pie and a few other hot, meat-like pies but I wasn’t in the mood for that, really. Several off-brand beers and lower-quality wines as well as Pepsi products. An attempt at Italian Soda is offered sans bravado. None of those really go with coconut crème, arguably. Coffee was not fresh though carafed. The place seems a bit confused as if it wants to be a bar that has a few pies(or is it a pie store that wants to have a few beers?) Layout is equally confused, like the whole store was a compromise. Décor is very Suzanne Vega. Music felt like the entire Tigerlily CD from Natalie Merchant circa 1995. Not a place a few dudes would go for a few brewskies after work, though a nod to lesbian sensibilities it seems. Not uninhabitable but a bit soft, neo-Scandinavian with drab pastels as if the band Shakespeare’s Sister manifested itself into a dainty restaurant, then to get parents angry, boldly serves booze just for the sake of it, but only booze Morrissey would drink through insistence(then complain about it afterwards, looking down on it and himself). I had complained the main-3 pies should be blueberry, apple, cherry but the owner/cook dismissed that as not being in-season and wanted to focus on pumpkin now, understandably. Services was both pleasant and unacceptably slow with no refills offered. Ultimately, the store is still«finding» itself like any young 19 year-old woman trying to really really get into The Cure but only the song«Friday I’m in Love». She wants to get back at her parents for not understanding why The Beatles aren’t the best band of all time like some college sophomore in Massachusetts and writes poetry in her spare time that broods. She tried cloves once to try to be cool with her friends but no one understands her so she shaved the side of her head and is now into alt-punk and just bought a Pixies album. So. The pies are very good. I give them a 9 out of 10 for taste. Experimental basics. Boldly not serving standard stuff. Go to Village Inn for that, kids. Enjoy, belly-up to the bar with dainty, lost-girl, tiny-heart art for-sale behind you, and stay for the boxed-wine. Get two slices. Ask that almost-hipster out next to you, and let the night unfurl the future.
