We came in at lunch time, and the menu is only one page. They were out of the first SEVEN items I tried to order. It was only Tuesday. The restaurant was almost empty, so clearly it wasn’t an issue of having too much business. If you don’t want to keep the proper amount of food in stock– don’t run a business. If you do run out, laughing it off is probably not the appropriate customer service response. I will not be returning.

We went here because of the playground in the basement for the kids, very nice idea: your kids play you drink coffee and hang out. The basement is very dark and not very cozy. The main coffee shop area isn’t very cozy either, although it does have cozy spots. It smells like a hospital in there! I had a cappuccino and it was good, the espresso seemed weak to me though it did come in a nice mug.

The coffee here tastes horrible, the staff are rude, and the music they blare sounds like shit. I’d avoid the crappy coffee and the noise, go to Pike’s Perk.

It’s not awful, but it’s not great. The inside is wonderful and there is so much seating. I love what they are going for, even the indoor play area is awesome. But they don’t offer breakfast unless you want a baked good, and they have your typical coffees. I only see myself going back if my friends decide to go.

Solid coffee shop with a large interior and pretty good coffee. I met with a friend of mine that I haven’t seen in a while and we settled on this place so we could catch up. My white chocolate mocha that I ordered came in a large mug with a nice serving of whipped cream on top. Tasted great. We settled down at one of the high tops next to the window. I’m glad I got to see her again and we had a pleasant chat and experience. This will probably be our meet up spot whenever I’m in CO.

Great place. So much better than going to a chain coffee shop. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are quiet places to sit. Best of all, there is a children’s play space in the basement. It is best for the under five crowd. You do need to supervise your children but they will pretty much entertain themselves with the fun things available.

Love this place. It’s got that great coffee shop atmosphere you search for in an indy café, but is still clean, family friendly, and so comfortable. Looking at other places, I always prefer 225 if I’m downtown. That, and there’s a play area for kids in the lower level. How handy is that?

Super friendly staff. The atmosphere is better than any other downtown coffee shop and it is clean and spacious too. Other local coffee places should take note and shape up. This is my new first choice!

This place is wonderful! A great basement play area for kids, great coffee, and the food is good too. Only downfall is this used to be a funeral home?! Other than that, I LOVE this place!

Great great place. Comfortable, welcoming, large — a top notch place. A bit crowded at lunch due to nearby(polite) high schoolers, but no reason to shy away, always a great coffee house feel.

I’ve been here a few times and have really enjoyed it. Parking is easier because it’s off the main drag and the vibe inside is bright and open. I’ve been to an event and also just popped in for coffee, and they’ve done well at both… I like that you can get your drinks with coconut milk(hello, lover) — if you like chai, this will be for sure one of your better life decisions. The event I attended was a monthly thing on Tuesday night held by First Pres down the street — acoustics seemed pretty good for both music and speaking — and they reorganize the chairs to fit a good group of people. They do live music(more concert-y atmosphere) regularly on Friday nights. My one minor complaint is that the hours are so short — if you work a 9 – 5 like I do, and it’s not around the corner, making a trip there for a coffee between 7 – 6 gets difficult… I’d have to be in and out instead of being able to sit down and study or enjoy my drink over a conversation with a friend. Which is a bummer because I’d definitely be in more often!
