Loved this restaurant, the atmosphere and menu was superb. the meal was worth every cent. i do wish they had a couple of eclectic sandwiches on the menu for those who want to spend a little less on dinner.

Tried to call yesterday around 6 and had no answer. Then walked down the main strip and stopped by last night and place was closed even though message says it’s open from 4:30−9pm. Called again today and still no answer so unsure if this place is open but it is showing on the Collingswood restaurant week website. If this place is open id possibly check it out and would most likely be able to to give proper review but as of now this place gets a 0 for not being open when they said they will. Bummer

My initial first visit was a disappointment but I had only ordered an appetizer. I had a good reason though: I was pre gaming for a girls night out and didn’t want a heavy meal. My group was over 15 people and even though I didn’t like my flatbread the other girls seemed to love their entrees. Plus the service was AWESOME that night. Orders came out super fast, the server was on point and we all had a great time. They were definitely due a 2nd chance. My date and I made reservations for 7pm prime time. We came in and had a nice private table tucked in the back corner next to a window. It was thoughtful to put us in that place. The same server helped us from my first visit and was just as wonderful. Pork chop with risotto and sautéed squash is not normally my pick on a menu but I did enjoy it. The prices are not bad and with a discount online it was a steal(not valid Sundays since they only have brunch). We enjoyed sharing our standard cheesecake. I’d like to come back and try out another entrée.

Hubby and I had a delicious dinner at Table 8 Bistro using a Living Social deal. Everything tasted fresh and homemade — even the bread. Portions varied between moderate and generous. The service was super friendly and attentive without being cloying. Both the server and the owner were warm, friendly and inviting and we really appreciated that. The atmosphere was nice — nothing extraordinary — but clean, modern and attractive and on a nice quiet side street near the main drag. Thankfully they turned the annoying radio off 5 minutes after we arrived and put on a nice relaxing CD.(I don’t know why so many restaurants insist on playing annoying hyper pop music when diners are trying to enjoy a nice meal and have conversation with each other). On the downside, prices were a bit high, the menu was pretty limited(especially for those who don’t eat meat) and the meal felt a bit drawn out(our meal lasted 2 hours and 15 minutes on a slow night, mid-week). Chairs are hard and our butts hurt after sitting in them for so long. Overall, though, we liked this place and would likely return.

I did not complain about my dates meal. And he did eat the crab cakes there was much more than ‘a quarter sized’ amount. No I did say I didn’t like the crab cakes. Kari was attentive and we left her wine we liked her so much. It was my meal I didn’t like.

Off the main drag in Collingswood, this Italian BYOB does a solid job delivering traditional fare. The patio is intimate and quiet other than the occasional high speedline that passes a few 100 yards away. The beet salad was fresh and light. Bread was so-so and this is an important test. The two pasta dishes we ordered were quite good. My wife had the shrimp scampi and I had the pasta fra diavlo. Both were well prepared, well presented and tasty. Service was excellent. Prices were quite reasonable. All in all a solid choice if you want a good decent priced meal off the busy main street.

Basic menu but good service and nice atmosphere. We also had their cheesecake for desert, which was great too. I had their chicken parm and loved it. A little pricey for the atmosphere.

It has been a while since my visit, but I was browsing Unilocal and remembered I had been meaning to write a review. The food here was delicious. I remember having some mac and cheese and a couple of flatbreads that really impressed me. They also had a few«trios» on the menu, which some people in my party of six really enjoyed. I will not forget my dad’s comment, «I like that she said the price of the specials.» Every little detail helps. The servers were very friendly as well. I will be back very soon! It really is a shame they have a strange location off the main drag, hopefully the good reviews will bring them more attention.

I am sorry it took me so long to write this review. Just before Christmas I came in with my husband and the crankiest, most miserable 4 year old you’ve ever seen. We had just gotten some awful news, were tired and hungry and just could not pull it together. As we sat down my kid started throwing silverware on the ground. I was mortified. The waitress and staff were nothing short of kind and empathetic. I cannot say how much we needed that. The chef came out and took my son by the hand and showed him the kitchen. Then he cut him the biggest slice of cake and played with him. We ordered some food to go(to save the other people there). The food was amazing. Five stars there. The best pasta I’ve had in a long time. The tuna was cooked perfectly: a little red inside but warm and seasoned on the outside. Aside from the food, the staff was just a shining example of compassion. I think there is more to a restaurant than food. The environment and the staff are equal thirds of what ultimately makes up a stellar experience. Table 8 hits all the marks: food, great staff and environment. I wish I could give ten stars.

It’s a shame Table 8 is located in such an unfortunate location because I think it’s a lot better than several of the other Italian restaurants on Collingswood’s main drag. The décor is simple and low key, but nice and inviting. Big windows look out onto the side street but the place overall feels intimate. As for the food, the menu isn’t big but it’s certainly very well thought out. The bread appeared to be baked fresh and the oil mix was excellent. For an appetizer I got the crab Mac and cheese which was the highlight of the meal. It was excellent. For the entrees my wife had the chicken parm and side pasta and I had a seafood medley. The seafood was good overall but I thought the clams and scallops were a little too chewy. Price wise it’s a little on the pricey side, but the quality is a step above some of those other places. I definitely recommend it.

I took my girlfriend to Table 8 on our anniversary and it was a great choice. What attracted me to Table 8 was its New American menu. Collingswood is known for its dining scene, and a majority of the restaurants along Haddon Ave are Italian. That’s not a complaint, but options other than Italian fare are few and far between. As a matter of fact, ever since Blackbird moved out, I don’t think there’s been a New American menu in town. The ambiance and service are both wonderful. The menu loaded onto and the menu available on my visit are completely different, so that means you’re in for a few new surprises on repeat visits. As for that menu, there were plenty of nice, varied options, although I noticed many of the sides on the entrees were«recycled» between different proteins. I started with a delicious caprese salad with prosciutto, and my girlfriend had their mac & cheese, stuffed with crab, shrimp and basil gnocchi. It was rich and tasty. Seafood mac & cheese to me usually ends up a bit fishy, but I had no issues here. Our entrees of salmon with seasonal root vegetables and lobster ravioli were equally delicious. There’s a balsamic reduction they appear to drizzle on everything on the menu, but it’s so tasty I didn’t mind one bit. I hope Table 8 lasts. They are in a tough spot on Haddon Ave, but they’re a nice breath of fresh air in an otherwise overstuffed restaurant scene. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

The food here was really good! I read about other reviews having an issue with the radio playing or the feel of the décor and inside, but I had a lovely time and enjoyed a declicious meal here with the bf while we were visiting the area. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, but not overbearing. I ordered the special when we went which was crab stuffed fish with asparagus and some other things and the bf ordered one of the chicken dishes with the putanesca sauce. They were able to make the sauce without anchovies at his request which was nice. I was a little disappointed in the amount of crab that was«stuffed» into the fish because it was stuffed into anything. It was like slices of fish with crumbles of crab sprinkled on, but the flavor was great and the dish was filling so there were no real issues. My dinner came with a salad and the Caesar was very good as well as the bread for the table with this very addicting oil dipping sauce with herbs and an artichoke heart that was refilled a few times because it was so so good. It is located at the end of a small street tucked away in a quaint little section. They also had outdoor seating. We would definitely come back!

I was staying in this area for the weekend of August 9th. Bring from Brooklyn NY, my gf and I did not see the need to try Italian food here. We instead found table 8 thanks to Unilocal. The service and waitress were incredible. I got the chicken dish which was very good and had a great taste. You have to try the bread with the herbs and oil. We loved that. My gf had the trout special stuffed with crab and other goodies. Ok so this was where there was a little dissapointment. We expected to see some crab in here other than the few pieces. Other than that, this place was solid and I recommended it to the person we were staying with. Oh and you’re welcome for posting the only existing menu in the world for this place!!!

I went there last night for my birthday… The food was amazing! I love byob’s and this was great. The beet salad is so good and larger than I thought it was going to be and the lobster ravioli were delicious! I wish there were more of them :) the servers were friendly and helpful and the hostess was very nice as well. My only negative would be inside is a bit small so if there is a loud party near you it could be tough to hold a conservation but it was a nice atmosphere :) the outside looked pretty so that is always an option. I would definitely go back!

I’ve only eaten here once, a while ago, and now that I’m thinking about it, I need to get back there. I had the short rib entrée which was delicious and my girlfriend enjoyed her meal as well. A nice change from the typical Italian Collingswood restaurant. In my best Lloyd Christmas voice«I like it a lot.»

I’ll preface this by saying that I have only visited Table 8 once. However, as a Collingswood resident, I’m looking forward to visiting regularly in the future. Table 8 has a really great location that will be even better with the outdoor seating during the warmer months. The service was fantastic and their food was just delightful. I am taking away the 5th star for only a few reasons, and I am only bothering to say them because I hope that, as a new restaurant, they will make these improvements quite soon. First, the ambiance could be better. I had a problem with pop music being played on the radio. It just doesn’t belong in this type of restaurant. Second, I think that the servers’ area should be tidied up. I was in plain view of a utility sink because no one closed the curtain, and the area generally looked a little messy. I know that’s being picky, but this restaurant is in a foodie’s town. so the standards are high. My final critique is the lack of online presence. The owner mentioned to us that an updated Spring menu is coming soon and she was waiting for it it be final before putting anything online. I just think this is a huge mistake. Put your information out there… we’re all waiting for it! Despite these few minor details, I was very impressed with my first dinner at Table 8 and look forward to many more visits!

To be honest, the food is probably more a 3 ½, it’s good and fresh but a little on the boring side. It definitely gets a bump for not being another italian restaurant amid all the others in Collingswood. Pleasant service and atmosphere, although a bit cramped. Will enjoy again.
