My inamorato has recently cut his very long, gorgeous hair for a new corporate position. He got three incredibly inaccurate, half-a$$ed haircuts prior to this one, bad length left in the back, too long on only one side, and just not understanding what he was asking for. We found Rooster’s by chance, on Unilocal,as they were open on Sundays. It’s an attractive little shop. Monique was shown the picture and created a gorgeous, simple style. Monique, thank you! He looks so good. He asked how I felt about the new cut, and if I thought she did a good job. I’m so happy with how it turned out. This will be his shop from now on, for sure.

Stopped by to get a quick haircut to find one stylist cutting a small boy’s hair. Stylist told me that they would be closing at 7 and would be unable to serve me(it was 6:35). It’s not a good practice to turn away business, and as a result I won’t be coming back. No excuses.

Got my first hair cut in years(8 to be exact) so I was a bit nervous on how things would turn out. I went in and there was no one in there except the hair stylist. She was nice and helped me out choosing my new hair style. The shop was very clean and big. She talked to me the whole time which made it go by faster. I loved the results and the service. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a barber shop.

Best shave!!! I’ve been frequenting my local Roosters for a couple of years now. I used to go to another barber, but they lacked in consistency and I finally landed at Roosters and so glad I did. The place is going for an old fashioned style barber shop from the good olé’ days minus the singing quartet. That said, I would take the quartet any day over some of their music selection. From what they told me, it’s a Spotify-like service that plays completely genres. One minute, it will be some Police followed by Sinatra leading into Sex Pistols… oy vey. If they are going for the period theme, stick to that theme please:) Anyway, I don’t want this to detract from my review of this place, but I needed to say it. To be honest, this review is aimed at a particular barber and her excellence and quality and service! My barber of choice is Elida, she always goes the extra mile to ensure I am satisfied with my shave or haircut. This is a tall order, because I can be one picky SOB. If she was ever annoyed or irritated with my «pickyness» she has never once displayed it. Moreover, I don’t drink so she is the closest thing to a bartender for me — she listens and responds accordingly, not to mention at the same time delivering an outstanding shave! As a bonus, she always recommends good products for me to try, such as Billy Jealousy and never peddles them in my face like other establishments might do. There have been several times where I could have done a clean up or trim at home, but sometimes(wallet and budget allowing) I let it go on purpose so I am forced to get a shave by one of the best Barbers! FYI: This place uses the Belly system, so be sure to use your stored points for the Shave and Facial combo — you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been there three times and will not be back. First visit was nice, the young lady did a good job but also commented she was moving on to bigger and better things, which is good for her but going to kill that particular Roosters franchise. Second visit, a different young lady cut my hair. TALKEDANDTALKEDANDTALKED the entire time. Would not shut up. Did not follow my instructions for the haircut and did not do a very good job. Third and last visit, I had a male stylist who had horrible halitosis(bad breath) and did not follow my instructions for my hair. In the mean time, young lady from visit #2 is working on another customer and talking, talking, talking in a very loud voice and parts of her conversation were not appropriate for younger people or people with good manners. When the haircut and shave were done, the male stylist kept trying to tell me about his business idea. TOTHEOWNERORMANAGEROFROOSTERSSOUTHLAKE: The Roosters business idea was to provide a unique and quality service to men who don’t mind paying for it. Your store is in an upscale area that attracts people like me who have money to spend on that service. You have totally missed the mark with your employees. Rule #1 for employees working with customers with high expectations: Listen to your customer and follow their instructions for their hair. Rule #2: BEQUIET!!! Most people come to Roosters for a high quality product that also serves as their«me time». If they want to engage you in conversation, keep it short and sweet. The five customers in your waiting area don’t want to hear about your dad /your car /your kids /your friends /what you’re doing after work. Rule #3: HYGENE. When you are in close proximity to another human, you need to be cognizant of your breath, your cologne, and your other bodily odors. Rule #4: DONOT try to pitch your customers on your small business idea. Your customers are not a networking opportunity, they are your customers. Treat them as such. Lastly, of the three employees I’ve encountered at your store, only one did a good enough job to make me want to come back. Your failure to select and retain quality staff is going to eventually cost you your business and all you’ve invested in it. Congratulations, you are a bankruptcy in the making.
