There are no words for how amazing this place is!!! Except for maybe AMAZING!!! You could eat here for a decent price($ 30-$ 40 for 2) or you can go extravagant($ 200+)! We had the muenster sausage, borata margherita pizzette, garlic roasted pork tenderloin, and the Italian cream cake and all were absolutely to die for!!! Will DEFINITELY be back!!!

I liked going here for a while. Until I went about two years ago, when the restaurant was taken over by some scantily clad promo girls from goodness knows what company. Even the manager stated that he knew he could get I’m trouble with the other owner/manager if she found out. This(very expensive) place was where I chose to have my birthday. I didn’t expect loud and semi-drunk behavior from the men who loved the near-naked women. If this establishment had billed itself as a sports bar, I wouldn’t have an issue. But, this place brands(and charges) itself as an upscale restaurant.

Worst service ever. Even had a reservation. Wine bottle left on table unopened for 15 minutes after waiting hour to get it. Waiter not attentive — walked away twice while in the midst of helping us. Appetizer cold and served at same time as soup. Took almost 2 hours to get bread and food. Spilled soup on coat and no apology. Talked to owner and no apology, nothing. This was third time for a couple at table with us and service was bad all three times.

Great menu with specials that change every week. Mushroom risotto is very good.

We have really tried to eat here multiple times. Here are our experiences: 1– I have ordered the Salmon two times and fallen ill. This has been two separate times months apart. It was directly because of the food and got food poisoning. 2– Good wine selection 3– Service is non responsive and slow 4-We have ordered take out to go(Oct 2015) — pizza only and it was great. 5– Jan 2016: we ordered pizza takeout. The order was two pizzas, one flat bread, and a salad. This cost $ 70…The salad was standard, the flat bread could be eaten, but the pizza-It was horrible. We were unable to eat it. When we called to tell them how bad it was, were told Jen was out(girl who makes pizza), and the Chef who doesn’t know pizza was making it. The woman who answered said she was sorry and knows he has no idea how to make pizza. When I asked what they would do for us she asked the owner who told her to tell us nothing. To get in our car, bring the pizza back, and return it for another pizza. Who does that?! They told us that this is not the person who knows how to make pizza and then the only offer was to give us another pizza? At this point we will never eat here again. I don’t see how you can treat customers this way in such a small community. We really tried to be customers and support the local community, but I can never stand behind a restaurant who doesn’t value customers and sells food which can’t be eaten. This place is good if you want a drink, dessert. If you would like to overpay for food which is poorly cooked then also go to Next. I would like to note that the ingredients taste fresh, it’s the cooking which is inappropriate and service/treatment of customers is absurd. Update: After dinner my sister took the remains of the horrible pizza back. They did give us a refund for the pizzas only– gave a $ 20 bill. Should have for the whole order for the trouble. $ 20 does not cover the cost of their pizza. Giving a $ 20 bill is rude and disrespectful. We will never eat here again.

We wanted to take our family for Sunday brunch, but they are no longer open on Sundays. Please update your information.

This place is great! It does not appear to be a fine dining establishment from the looks of it but the white table cloths, the food, and the atmosphere tell a different story. The wine selection is very good and they have a wide range of dishes that will please lost people’s pallet. Great little Colleyville GEM.

The meal sizes are generous, the décor is classy, relaxing and lovely; the service is phenomenal, and the quality and selection of food is top notch. This restaurant is one of my favorites whenever I’m in the NRH area. Personal favorites: Kobe(Wagyu) Beef Burger — fresh, delicious, dripping with juices. A huge fan. Texas Chicken Fried Steak — lightly battered round steak and cream gravy — being a native Texan, I’ve had my fair share of Texas Chicken Fried Steak. I don’t have much to say, other than that it’s done right. They also have seasonal appetizers/sides that can’t be found on the official menu(but will be brought to your attention by your server, no worries). On my last visit, I had an appetizer with slices of roasted peaches, which was a divine combination of savory and sweet.

You should never give a restaurant a 5 star in the beginning. They should earn their rating. I start at 3 with Next Wood Fire Grill because their bartender was new and didn’t appreciate the nuance of a drink order. I had to ask to order food after sitting with a closed menu for 10 minutes… maybe i should have taken the hint? The food made up for less than stellar bar service. Flatbread was perfectly baked. Crunchy crust with slightly charred edges… fabulous. Well see how things improve on the next visit.

Classy local spot with mixed food. A group of us enjoyed sharing a baked brie appetizer and a great bottle of cabernet. Our waiter was terrific and we appreciated the special birthday dessert. My pork tenderloin was just OK and a bit salty to my taste. It was served with cubed potatoes that would almost pass for hash browns at a nice breakfast spot. I personally would have enjoyed more of a green veggie than a small braised piece of bok choy. The restaurant can be pricey. The tables are close together. The food can be very good, but it can also be just so-so. But it is still a nice place to go. Note for those who care — they have an extensive gluten free menu.

This was maybe our fourth time here and I must say they stay consistent and or even become better each time. Nice atmosphere not too stuffy etc. Waiter was good at what he did and had a nice sense of humor. The drink I ordered wasn’t great but it was handled with grace and the next one was amazing. Had mozzarella and tomato for a starter and the mozzarella was so fresh and well made in house. Delicious Will have to definitely stop in more often!

Made a reservation via OpenTable. Ambience and setting very nice and quaint inside despite the outside looking a bit commercial. Diverse menu especially small plates, appetizers, flatbread, pizzettes, and sides. We sampled numerous dishes — the escargot, crab tower, calamari, margarita flatbread, peach burrata, gnocchi, Mediterranean salad, and an Italian sausage and mushroom pizza. Every single dish was terrific and unique. The escargot could have used a bit more flavor. We had peach cobbler and bread pudding for dessert which were both excellent. Highly recommend. Nacho was our server and he was wonderful and attentive too! We will be back!

Had dinner here Saturday night with some friends. Absolutely love this place. The restaurant is tastefully decorated. The bar is a good place to hang out. We were seated promptly. Our waiter was on the spot taking drink orders. We ordered SeaBass, Black Cod, and 2 Ribeye Specials. For appetizers Hatch Green Chiles Cigars and a Peach Cheese and Prosciutto plate. The peaches and cheese were a hit. Very fresh and filling. I also had the Peach and Tomato Salad. Wow I want one now as I write this. I was informed the Black Cod was sold out. Dang it ! I ordered a Fried Green Tomato dish with Cajun Crab Louie. Also a side of Mushroom Risotto . Our dishes came and all were pleased. The Sea Bass with the Asparagus Purée was the best dish I’ve tried in a while. Yummy. Steaks were cooked to order. The Fried Green Tomato with Crab perfectly crisp tomatoes and the spicy crab paired well. Be back soon for more.

the owners, Ying and Tom Atkins, have developed a great place; however, the state road construction on 26 is going to make things difficult, not only for Next, but for the other places along 26. Patrons need to be more supportive during this pertiod – we really want such places to succeed – even though, apparently the City and State don’t care!

I have been coming here since they opened. They have had recent competition in the area. Some have come and gone and a few are still around. One thing I can say is that they stay true to their commitment of using fresh and seasonal ingredients. Coming from California I was not super impressed with the option here in Texas. They do things big but the execution is not always great. I have noticed that has started to change over the years. This spot reminds me of some of my favs in the Sonoma wine country. They don’t overdo it but you can tell they care about what they serve. The prices have increased a bit more than I would expect but you have to consider the area. I will continue to come here because they sever great food and the service has been good as well.

Not too happy with our service. We ordered a half salad and when we got the bill it was the price of a full salad. Even though there is a half price in the menu they apparently don’t offer a have salad . So rather than refund you the half price they offer you a dessert… No thanks the prices are too high for the food they offer. I have been there several times in the past but I have to say it’s time to find a new place.

I love going to Next. It is simply the perfect place to go for almost any occasion. My husband and I celebrated Valentine’s Day there this year(fabulous Beef en Croute!), I often join friends there for lunch(love the seared tuna salad, but always want to try the brie sandwich!), and I have been known to stop by to sit at the bar and enjoy a glass of wine. Whatever it is that you are looking for in a restaurant experience, Next does it and does it well. The staff is charming, and really focus on getting to know the customers, and the atmosphere is lovely. If you’ve not tried Next, check it out! You will not be disappointed.

Good martinis. The portobello frites had too much breading and were too salty. They seemed to me to be a frozen product. The ham, fig, and goat cheese Flatbread was really good. I got the scallops which were medium sized and fresh each sitting on a little bed mashed potatoes with bacon crumbles. Two smears of carrot purée were on each side of the plate. The dish was way over salted and the carrot purée had a stale flavor. $ 32 dish! My partner had the pork entrée. In this case too the dish was ruined by too much salt. Good recipe ideas, fresh seafood ruined in the preparation. Not acceptable at this price level.

Holy Smokes. I had been here twice for lunch before and it was very good but I was not expecting what we enjoyed at dinner. Tanqueray martini was perfectly prepared. The Caesar salad was one of the most perfectly prepared we’ve ever had. I told our server we would share it and, Whoa! it came out on two plates, perfectly dressed. I had the rack of lamb with jalapeño mint gastrique… wow! To die for. The something or other mashed potatoes and jimica corn slaw with it were lovely. This is an lovely, small, intimate venue. Wine selection is excellent. Our server was all that a server should be. Knowledgable, attentive, and efficient but not obsequious and hovering. We were very, very pleased.
