The beer is pretty good. The atmosphere not so much. To me the vibe is like visiting Old Man Earl’s garage workshop and hey he just happens to brew good beer. Austin Beerworks’ setup is one I would recommend visiting to get a feel. Perhaps New Republic could move in that direction? Still I will support this brewery simply because the beer is commendable. The live music and food trucks is a nice touch too.

My wife and I enjoyed visiting this brewery. We live in Houston and love the Dammit Jim amber available at HEB. The brewery had a band outside, along with picnic tables.

Great beer, great people, and a really nice place to sit and have a beer on the weekends. There are often food trucks and live music — not to mention a good distillery next door(but that’s for another review).

Awesome beers, awesome people, and fun atmosphere. They often host bands and food trucks. Bring bug spray in the summer. Dress warm in the winter. On the first Sunday of every month they also host a board game meet up group. The brewery taproom is family friendly and many people bring their kids. Dogs are welcome as long as they’re leashed and well-behaved. Open Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons.

Very small craft brewery. Come in and get drafts for $ 4 other than that it’s. Oh and the keepsake pint glass is $ 5. It’s not like breweries we’ve been to in Houston. The whiskey distillery next door had more friendly people. And overall made the experience that much more enjoyable!!!

What to review as my last in 2014? Met one of the co-founders John tonight at Village Foods in the Wine and Beer Garden.(Outstanding upgrades that one should see). Seriously, one of the Founders of New Republic, one of our two cherished local beer breweries(along with new kidz on the block Blackwater Draw), WORKINGNEWYEARSEVE! John offered a history of their company and I had to stop him right away as I have been following their blogs for years, even before they started. It was nice to see someone give up time on New Years Eve and promote their product. One of the beers I tasted was a Sweet Potato Porter It is called«Windlass». Picked a bottle of it for my New Years Eve celebrations. One of the finest beers I have ever tasted, and local. Happy New Year New Republic!

My first trip to this brewery. Pretty much a commercial warehouse experience but the beers are great. The Dammit Jim was a nice hoppy brew, The other selections were very good as well. Go on a night when one the food trucks is on site and live music. There are a few picnic tables on site but I would highly recommend that you bring your own chairs. It can be difficult to find a place to sit if there is even a small crowd on site. The staff are very friendly and eager to share their thoughts on all things beer. A recommended get away.

It’s hard to argue with a bar that features food trucks and live music, even if it serves beer exclusively and I’m more of a cocktail enthusiast. The seating is somewhat limited, but I’ve seen some seasoned veterans bring lawn chairs on a busy night. In other words, wear comfortable shoes – it’s a chill situation. Or if you’d rather chill antisocially, grab a bottle of New Republic’s Warimono from HEB. It’s a wonderful, full-flavored, high percentage trippel, sweetly reminiscent of the discontinued Moonshine Blonde, no longer available at The Republic(no affiliation with NRB). Incidentally, if you’re wondering what happened to The Republic’s brewing operation, he’s distilling whiskey now next door to the New Republic, and he is giving tours to explain himself.

Spectacular science and craftsmanship behind good products. It’s everything you would expect from a homegrown operation that cares about it’s customers and products. The new whipsaw is a favorite amount my friends.

Seriously good beer, seriously good people! This brewery has everything going for it. Knowledgable staff/brewers, cool country location, live music on weekends! If you like craft beer, enjoy discussing with the brewers about how it is made, and love a good time well this is the place. If you don’t, go drink a bud light with the rest of the bland population.

Incredible beer and friendly folks… the brewery tours that they offer on Saturdays(every second Saturday, I believe) are worth twice the price you pay. Support this wonderful brewery and keep independent Texas brews going strong!

One of the best $ 6 you can spend in BCS — for a tour, a pint glass with the New Republic logo, and two home brewed beers. It’s like a grown-up keg party, complete with fun music entertainment and(typically) a food truck. I’m a huge fan, and starting a collection of pint glasses! Also, the Skylight Dunkleweizen is off the chain.

Fantastic little brewery manning the breach against manufactured beers. Head to the brewery every other week for a tour($ 6 for an imperial pint and 2 beers). Currently, they have Skylight Dunkelweizen and Bellows Texas Amber Ale, but every now and then they pull out something special. Where to get: Good Time Charleys — 201 S. Main Street, Bryan Revolution Café and Bar — 211 B South Main St

This is a tiny little start up brewery that is run out of a metal building south of College Station. The owners started as home-brewers and really know their beers; they are really helpful if you have questions. I believe the brewery’s beer can be found at Bombers games and O’Bannons, among other CS bars. The brewery runs free«tours» now and then that are listed on their website. On the tour you get two 3-oz tastings of the beers they have available, and if you’re lucky, you’ll get to try one of the new beers they are working on. If you buy a glass, then you get a full pint instead of 3 oz. There really isn’t a proper tour, as everyone is hanging out in the building together, but you can ask about the process if you’re interested. I recommend a brewery visit if you have the chance!
