Madden’s Street Cuisine

So, why is the Maddens truck parked at Veritas and been off the street?
Did Tai buy Madden’s truck?
Will there be a second Tai food truck soon? Is Madden done on the street?

Peter Madden posted a message on his Facebook page that he has sold the truck in order to focus his energy on the restaurant. It will be sorely missed.

The Green Chile Cheeseburger and Cilantro Fries are otherworldly! I’m sure everything else is great as well but I can’t stand the thought of not having my beloved burger when I go there so I haven’t tried anything else. Be sure and add mayo to the burger and ask for a side of their ranch for dipping your fries. Not sure but I think it’s Poblano Ranch… and it’s divine!

I think people going to hate me for writing a bad review, but I do not care.
I had their version of fish and chips.
The chips (sweet potato fries) were soggy and soak in oil… ok. either they do not how to deep fry or their equpment was faulty.
The fish portions were small.
I’ve asked several people about their impressions of the food, and their response were identical to mine.
Quality & Quantity might improve over time and choice of what to serve on a food truck might be more selective.
Sauce was good/​not bad, at least they got that part down. The rest needed improvement.
Staff was friendly.

NOTORIETY: Gourmet food truck
FOOD:
Green chile burger ($ 8): 1^st thing you notice, burger’s kinda small. The toasted fluffy bun was topped w/​smooth & creamy avocado & green chile; however, these two ingredients were too mild for me. Also, I think they left the cheese off mine by mistake & replaced it w/​shredded lettuce, tomatoes & onions. Not cool. Decent burger, but needed more flavor.
Chile-​cilantro fries: These skinny fries came w/​the burger & were crispy but a bit oily. Chopped cilantro was dispersed throughout, w/​the mild chile providing a lil heat. Not too salty, which was good.
OVERALL: The aroma from this truck, which morphed into that finger that tells you to come closer (like in cartoons) caused me to float towards the truck. The food didn’t match the aroma, as it was decent & the menu was limited. I really think it deserves 3.5 stars as it is better than A-​OK, but I’m not a fan.
RECOMMENDATION: Chile-​cilantro fries (but not the green chile burger)
TIPS:
I’d consider trying his toasted marshmallow ice cream next time I go, as it’s 1 of his own creations.

Tried Madden’s Street Cuisine for the first time today. It was amazing– just as I had expected! I had the Kobe burger with chile cilantro fries and my husband had the fish and chips with sweet potato fries. Both dishes were amazing!!! The cashier guy was very friendly and helpful. We even got a free cookie which was also delicious!
