Gross. I’ve been to this location before and the food was surprisingly excellent. I came here again but ordered«to go» instead. The food was beyond mediocre – it was gross. It was lukewarm and almost completely inedible. I really don’t know what they could possibly be thinking. If I can produce better food than their chef, what are they paying them for? So disappointed.

Our server was fine, a little slow but it was crowded; however, the food was absolutely terrible. I ordered the sirloin and it tasted like actual rubber(not being dramatic) I sent it back and got pasta which was extremely dry. No one at my table finished their meals because they tasted so bad. I will not be going to another chilis. This was the last straw. I would have preferred fast food to this microwaved food.

Saturday nights get busy, but after 45 minutes we still didn’t have any food. The manager made excuses and told us we could leave. By then we’d been inside their doors for an hour plus. All they did was make excuses. No food and no offer to make things right.

The Texas cheese fries are some of the best I’ve had as well as the top shelf tacos which have a lot of different flavors and main ingredient varieties to choose from. Stay away from the white queso though it is like just one big piece of cheese. The ribeye is also very good not too tough and taste fantastic. The customer service is really excellent with fast service and really nice waiters. if they mess up your order they usually give it to you free, the manager can’t help it if there cook is really careless.

Excellent food, new choices on the 2 for $ 20 menu. The new Loaded Bonelss Bites are awesome. We will be back and I’m sure the wife or I will more than likely try them again. The only thing that needs to improve is the attitude with the staff, starting with Management. Our server was awesome, but everyone else seemed to be in the can’t wait to get off mode.

I don’t know why I bother with this location. I decided to order the lunch order of chicken bacon quesadillas that should come with fries and mine did not. Because I ordered to go, I called back and all the manager, Adam, could say was«I’m sorry for the oversight». Thanks for apologizing Adam but this isn’t the first time this«oversight» happens at this location. My previous experiences at this Chilis included HAIR in my food. It’s unsanitary and this kind of «oversight» tends to happen a lot often than not. Take your money to another establishment. This location needs a lot of work. Highly doubt anything will be done about these issues considering this is the ONLY location in CS.

My how the mighty have fallen! I have been a Chili’s customer for many years, so long in fact that I used to be a card carrying member of their frequent diner club back in the 90’s. However, I can’t do it anymore. The wait staff was great, but the food standards have really fallen. Chili’s used to have the best fajitas, but now the chicken isn’t even grilled anymore. My cheese enchilada came out refrigerator cold in the middle and my wife’s fajitas had to be sent back to be cooked longer because the beef was raw in the middle. I will have to find another restaurant to frequent. It’s not just the Chili’s here in College Station either. Most of the Chili’s I have gone to in the past couple of years have been disappointing.

If there was a zero star option I’d give it. I love Chilis. It’s my favorite and eat at them everywhere I travel. This one was SO disgusting. I couldn’t find a table in the bar because there were 4 or 4 tables that hadn’t been bussed so I sat at the bar. Order my usual. Chips were cold and stale. Salsa was runny. Salad wasn’t very flavorful. I went to the rest room and it was so gross and hadn’t been tended to in awhile but the worst part of the entire experience is when I was about to sign my check, a HUGE bug ran out from behind the bar right across my bill and my hand!!! Not as big as a cock roach but like a small beattle. Maybe the grossest thing that’s ever happened to me while dining out and I travel a lot! If I’m ever back here I will NEVER go to this Chilis again. My guess is since it’s right next to A&M that they can get away with disgusting stuff because college kids don’t care. The health department needs to get into this place ASAP!!!

Any Chilis anywhere else is great but this one is terrible. Food is disgusting. Service is poor to mediocre. And they may have had an upgrade to their exterior but they need one badly for their interior. Like a really deep clean. Just has a weird must inside. Fajitas are not tasty and their cheese dip is Velveeta with ground beef and incredibly salty. Chilis is great anywhere(I’ve tried at Houston, Austin and even Washington DC airport) but this local one sucks!

Worst experience I have ever encountered in a Togo setting. I showed up at 612 when my Togo order said it would be ready at 609. I came in the Togo entrance and stood at the counter for 13 minutes before anyone acknowledged or helped me. There was a person who worked here right in front of me the whole time. No smile, no friendly greeting, just told me the total and swiped my card. Madison didn’t go over my order with me, and I know why. The food came out atrocious. Everything was soggy and cold. The fried pickles I had gotten for my pregnant wife was cold as the air and had absolutely zero crisp or batter on it. I had told Madison that I didn’t want them. She than asked me why and I replied that they were cold and soggy… I picked one up and showed her how flimsy they were. Her reply was that they were cooked over a half hour ago. I asked her why my order was cooked a half hour ago if it told me to be there at 609? She replied that it’s just how things are done. I asked for my money back on just the pickles… not the burger or tortilla soup as my wife is pregnant and sick right now and just needs some food. She told me that there was nothing she could do. I replied that if you can’t rectify the situation than I would like to talk to a manager. She than rolled her eyes and I asked to please speak to a manager. She disappeared and reappeared with no manager and told me it would be a few minutes. No manager ever came to speak to me, and they just brought me out more pickles. I was really hoping this would be a good experience. I am a Kitchen manager at a local restaurant as well as a front of house trainer at a different local restaurant. If someone tells you to be somewhere at a specific time than at that time things should be excellent. Otherwise just tell me to head that way now. Also the lack of customer service as well as refusing to alert a manager has resulted in this being my very last time at this establishment and I don’t want anyone to ever go through this either. It’s just not how hospitality works. EDIT…HADTOTURNAROUNDBECAUSETHEYDIDN’T PUTTHEMACANDCHEESETHEYCHARGEDMEFORINMYBAG. WASSUPPOSEDTOBEABLETOBEHOMEBY615TO620TOEAT… ITISNOW700

they touch your food with bare hands… do not eat here. the manager jo thinks this is normal even though it’s against the law to touch ready serve food with bare hands. proceed with caution this chilis may as well be called«the country back-a$$ed chilis w/no cleanliness enforced»

Great friendly customer service. Order is always ready on time for curb side take away, and thus far, has always been correct. Ribs are still my favorite, but the cajun chicken is also growing on me for lunch. Keep up the good work!!!

So I just had the worst experience i’ve had in a restaurant in as long as I can remember… I went to the Chili’s Grill & Bar in College Station TX and they took 40 minutes to get us our food after we ordered. My steak was way overcooked. I asked for a replacement, but they replied with«Kitchen is closed for the night, sorry.» So now I’m hungry, mad, and without a dinner.

Their honey chipotle chicken crispers are awesome! Service is good. No complaints. Like the little tablets at each table. Kids can play games while waiting for food. Prices are reasonable too.

I am a regular Chili’s fan and my home Chili’s is the Texas Ave Chilis in College Station. Some of the reviewers seem to have had isolated bad experiences — but I can say as someone who has eaten once a week at this particular Chili’s for the last fifteen years … this is a reliable solid Chili’s — one which I use to compare other restaurants against. ****** Now why is this particular Unilocal foodie big on Chili’s — when we are supposed to be big on sushi places or the latest in ou-la-la cuisine? Chili’s is a cultural institution — a cultural institution that is more important to American food than most people think. The Chili’s menu really captures what Americans want to eat. McDonalds just has cheap not-respected versions of a few dishes like hamburgers and chicken tenders. Other places just have pizza or just have wings. Chili’s is like an encylopaedia of all of America’s favorite foods. And the versions at Chili’s are all extremely solid. You would give a A Minus to each of the items on the menu — with no particular landmines to avoid anywhere. Sure there is a legendary place in New York with better hamburgers, or a legendary place in Tallahassee with better chicken fingers, or even a legendary place in Terlingua with better chili … or any other item you can think of on the menu. But for completely solid and respectable versions of any of these dishes — Chili’s has them. *** Now if you are a fancy shmancy food intellectual and you want to engage in some erudite debate about the contribution of America to world gastronomy . if you think about it, many of those contributions would show up on a menu at Chili’s. Hamburgers. Hamburgers with Cheese and Bacon on top. Thick super-rich«loaded» soups with names like«Baked Potato Soup». Sweet salads with a lot of protein such as an Asian Chicken Salad. Nachos.(Mexican origin but totally adapted on the American scene.) The eponymous Chili. Chicken tenders. Memphis ribs. Chili cheese fries and sweet potato fries. Fajitas(again Mexican origin but standardized with sour cream and lettuce and tomatoes in the US) Pizza with thick red sauce.(Italian italian pizzas are completely different) o Southern Vegetable plate. All of these are items on the Chili’s menu … and that includes the Southern Vegetable Plate which you can get by just ordering side dishes. Ok — they don’t have US innovations like Cajun cooking, Jewish pastrami, New Mexican green chili dishes, roast turkey, or clam chowder. But a lot of the key players are there in good versions. Add to this that the physical amenities are always right. There is a bar with more than one sports event on if you want to drink and watch TV. There is a restaurant with NOTV if you want to just talk to people. And the decoration is as decent as the cooking. So it is a solid package that is not extraordinary at anything but plenty good at just about everything. Compare it to the lame execution at a lot of the Chili’s wannabes (Applebee’s in particular comes to mind — although there are also plenty of Joe’s Mediocre Bars with Food.) And the real merits of Chili’s become clear. Chili’s is one of the few corporate American restaurants I know that actually consistently delivers a solid product. (Don[t get me started on fast food or on Olive Garden.) So for what it is, it deserves respect.

Service was very good, think I had about 5 glasses of iced tea. Kids meal was large, good deal, plus they brought out a free mini chic shake. I usually get chicken fajitas or burger, this time had burger with chili, cheese and onions, how can you go wrong? Well, way overcooked, dry, not much chili or cheese or onions. Disappointed to waste that many calories and cholesterol.

Never thought I would be writing a four star review for a major national chain, but here I am… writing that review. Chili’s is actually pretty good among the BCS competition. Chips are thin, crispy, and addictive. The entrees are, well, Chili’s entrees. The prices are quite reasonable with typical happy hour specials. The wait staff has always been mediocre to good, which is better than can be said for a lot of the local competitors. Overall, this place is always busy for a reason – they are a competitive place in the BCS market.

0⁄5 if I could. Came for a gluten free salad after 10pm. Found hair IN(not on top of) the salad that was absolutely NOT gluten free. I ended up very sick from the gluten of one shrimp and two fork fulls of lettuce even after ordering from the gluten free menu. One of the few late night dining options in college station to offer gluten free and they REALLY failed in more ways than one. Waiter was kind and manager was apologetic, offering $ 10 in gift cards, but it doesn’t touch this experience.

We’ve eaten here once and I can’t say that I’m up for that type of a sodium intake challenge again anytime soon. Here’s what brings this review to your screen. Last night we ate at the TGI Friday’s on University and have been extremely thirsty ever since. You can see my review of that location, posted last night. So today I called TGI Friday’s customer support line and asked for an online(or mailed) nutritional data sheet that indicates the sodium levels in the food we ate. TGI Friday’s does not provide it. And considering that this was twice in a month that we had a similar experience with a massive post-eating thirst, this Chili’s being the other location, I called Chili’s as well, asking for sodium information, and they do provide it. If you look at their website, click the menu, and then in tiny print down at the bottom there is a link to download a PDF of nutritional information which does include the sodium. Apparently my wife and I both unknowingly selected some of the very highest sodium content foods that Chili’s offers. I had the Buffalo Chicken Fajitas that top out with an impressive 5,260 milligrams of sodium. My wife had the Monterey Chicken at only 3,060 milligrams of sodium. So, lesson learned. While I have to sort of appreciate the fact that Chili’s discloses this information, where TGI Friday’s does not at present, I didn’t realize it before eating there. I guess I could have asked. So, if you’re gonna do some sodium power eating, might I suggest ordering and drinking a LOT of water, before, with and after your meal. And it might not even hurt to go down to the REC center any walk a few dozen laps to try to sweat some of this salt out. The food was just okay, I have had better, the after experience of being so damn thirsty the rest of the night and even the next morning was a real downer, the service was acceptable and this place is always very busy …
