Very yummy marinara sauce. Love all the build your own options. Great Italian Calzones, plus specialty ones like mac n cheese, eggy ones, and dessert.

A lifesaver throughout my undergraduate years at UMD. There were countless all-nighters and other late nights in College Park when DP Dough was always there for me. I’ve never had a single bad experience here, considering their cheap prices and delicious array of options. The best calzone by far is the Buffer Zone(breaded chicken, mozzarella, hot sauce, and blue cheese). The Dunkers and Tots were also satisfying. I only wish they had a location in D.C. to expand the late-night food options for when I have my cravings…

First time ordering from here. I ordered online and drove to pick it up. It wasn’t ready when I arrived, so I waited an additional 10 minutes. I ordered the strike zone which featured eggplant, spinach, ricotta and mozzarella with marinara on the side. I also had them«hook it up» by adding parmesan and garlic on top. The calzone was good– but after awhile became very dry and chunky inside. More marinara was definitely needed but it was too late as I was already back in my hotel room. If I lived nearby I would return again, but visiting from out of state I have many other places I would rather eat at.

They have tots! The food is awesome. Usually order from here when at work. My co workers and I try to limit the amount of food we get from here. It’s just THAT good. I usually get ½ Ib of the bbq boneless wings and small tater tots. The portions are huge. I think I ordered the combat zone calzone. It was delicious and of course huge. Definitely recommend this place!

Fast service, accepted my Unilocal Check-in for a free soda and the nice cashier helped explain the different ingredients and combinations that could be made. Great hours and delivery too! Thanks D. P. Dough!

I’ve been here a few times and in my experience, I’ve had pretty good service. I’ve never ordered delivery, always pick up. My order is always ready when I come to pick in 15 minutes from when I called. I’ve tried the Speed Zone and the Buffer Zone and both are really good; and I typically don’t like anything with buffalo sauce unless it’s buffalo wings. So, that says a lot. They have a special calzone every day for $ 6(calendar on website). I usually come here when I can’t decide what I want to eat and I don’t mind the carbs!

Incompetent employees, slowest service ever. I have been waiting for 25 minutes for my calzone even though not a single other person was in the store when I walked in nor has walked in as I have been sitting here. Furthermore, they’ve raised their prices so I have myself to blame for continuing to support them even in the face of outrageous price changes. The most amazingly slow place ever! Don’t support them! Go to somewhere better in College Park like the Food Factory next door!!!

I used to go to the one in State College, PA,(Penn State, Class of 2011) a lot and it was a go to for quick deliveries and great food, whether sober or drunk. When I moved down here I was skeptical to go here only because I had such great memories that I didn’t want to be hurt by a bad DP Dough experience. I was not. Same great calzones and service, same menu which was a piece of nostalgia for me, and when I have ordered delivery it has been amazing as well. Better than ordering a pizza for 1 I say. All my PSU friends in the area get so jealous everytime I order from here too, so I love rubbing in there face.

I have been to this location several times, but made the one in Storrs, CT my go to while I was in school. I tried every calzone from there. Each DP Dough has their own specialty calzones along with the regular ones at all locations. They are on college campuses so they have deals such as 2 calzones for $ 12. It use to be $ 10! Ha. This particular time, I had the Buffer and Big Pig Zone. The buffer zone consisted of chicken, mozzarella, hot sauce, and bleu cheese. I had a side of ranch. People do not know you can switch out the side of marinara and get a different side sauce. That makes a huge difference. This particular buffer zone was good. I did not think there was enough hot sauce, but it was good nonetheless. The Big Pig Zone consisted of pulled pork, cheddar, and BBQ sauce. I had a side of BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce is very good. I did not like the cheddar was not melted. Other than that, the calzone was exceptional. Will I go back? Easily.

3.5 stars Pretty quick service, seeing that there was only one guy working. He was taking phone AND online AND walk in orders as well as cooking everything himself(who the hell would have just one person on staff on a weekend?) I got the Chicken Parmezone(Damn you Peyton Manning/Nationwide commercial! «chicken-parm-you-taste-so-good»). I expected a little more marinara in the calzone itself(that little side cup of marinara wasn’t cutting it!). It tasted like a chicken and cheese calzone instead, but it was still pretty good. I would not go out of my way to come back, but it if I’m in the area and I want something quick and hot, I come back to see what else they have on the menu.

Bad delivery service I have been waiting for 1:15 and when he arrives he was sitting on the car and pass me the food from the window.

I used to love coming here when I visited CP. At times, I would drive from upper Montgomery County just to get a calzone from here. I’ve been coming here for nearly 5 years, and I’m sorry to say I may have to find a new place to buy calzones. If you want to do something special to your order don’t expect it to come out right. I’ve had my calzone messed up three times on three separate occasions. All of which were a replacement from the first mess up. I don’t understand why they can’t make their food right? The first time the added and paid for tomatoes were missing, the second time there was no sugar and cinnamon on my dessert calzone, the third time(tonight) there’s no ‘hook it up garlic’ on or in my calzone. To their respect, the manager compensated me for their mistakes and included an additional beverage, but I had to wait another hour for delivery, and it’s a large loss of profit on their part. Instead of calling tonight I’m just going to write this review and hope they use the feed back as constructive criticism. If your cooks are still new as a employee explained to me on the phone a manager should be checking the calzones before handing them to the client and leaving.

Quick service. Delicious sub«BBQ Chicken» that I customized with pineapple and spinach. Better option than a pizza if you want something«breadish» but not overly greasy. The sauce that came with it was really fresh and tasty! It is places like these that make eating out worth it!

Got a call back from the owner David and he was really nice and apologetic about the entire situation. I decided to give it another try… that try lasted a total of 3 seconds when I found a hair in my food. Now you may be asking… are you sure it wasnt your hair? Well I am going to go out on a limb and say no. I have my hair in a tightly coiled afro and it is dark brown. The hair is a dark color but it was straight. unless my mother wants to explain something to me I am going to go ahead and say this is a workers hair. I dont know if they are just messing with my food or if they are really that disgusting. SONEVERAGAIN. This makes 3 times. and you know the saying fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on the Philadelphia school district… fool me 3x. well i am just going to go ahead and leave the pictures for you amusement.

I guess it’s what I’d expect out of a $ 6 calzone, nothing special though as it was flat and had more of a panini feel. But I will say that I love the fact that their minimum delivery charge is $ 6 and most«calzones» are $ 6.50

Worked here for a year back in the day… the fact that I can still eat it after being able to eat it for free every day I worked should say more than enough! The buffer zone with ranch instead of blue cheese is still my favorite!

4.5 stars for a College Park staple. + Fast delivery. My order came in about 15 minutes during finals week, around the dinnertime rush. + Good portion size. Lasted me about two meals, there’s a decent amount of filling and the crust isn’t too overwhelmingly thick. + HUGE variety. There are tons of zones to choose from, or you can customize your own. Tip: there’s a $ 5 zone of the day if you’re looking to try something new at a discount. + They also have wings, tots, salads, and Ben & Jerrys! Only complaint is that the«Side Tots» only come with about 15 tots, which is somewhat of a rip off for $ 2.50.
