The food is not homemade and is expensive. This was for a catered affair for a post funeral lunch. The staff attempted to overcharge my family an additional $ 300.00 during a vulnerable time, thinking that it would go unnoticed. The food was mediocre. The meal was to include Chicken Florentine. This dish was not pounded chicken but frozen chicken strips combined with frozen spinach. The sausage and peppers had more sauce than peppers and sausage. They gave us 3 trays of Penne with a skimpy amount of ricotta and Parmesan cheese. The salad was fresh and appropriate. The set up for this so called Italian meal included the cheapest paper plates(appropriate for one slice of pizza) that required that plates be tripled. This was an embarrassment to serve our guests. One guest commented that they also pass off canned soup as homemade. Georgio’s gave us fresher and tastier food for about a10th of the price. It was delicious and we had plenty during our private mourning time We should have used them. We did not because they did not set up and deliver and we trusted that Illianos would do a good job I am appalled. I hope they realize that most of Lebanon knew how horrible that food was and who prepared it.

Pizza is gross! Cardboard flavored crust and uninspired toppings.

Today I went to Illinois after always enjoying Illinois of Waterford and New London. I decided to pick up since the eating area was small and the door was constantly opening. Also all I could hear was the young staff talking about issues I did not want my seven year old to hear. I had called in a cheese pizza well done on the bottom, and was told 15 – 20 minutes. When I got there it had been thirty minutes, and I still had to wait another five. I was outraged that a large cheese pizza cost me $ 15.90, and left. Upon returning home I realized that the pizza was not well done on the bottom, and called where they said I could bring it back and they would throw it back in the oven for me. I was not interested in another 15 minutes there and 15 minutes back, and decided not to go back. Also, the pizza was doughy in the middle. I would not recommend this Illianos to anyone.

I love this place. I’ve been going here for years. The food is wonderful. The staff is friendly and warm. I’ve never had a bad experience, and highly recommend.

You just can’t beat the eggplant parm grinder here. The BEST in the area. It only comes in one size: big! But I guarantee you will eat the entire thing!

I’m not sure whats up with all the griping on Facebook; Illiano’s in Colchester is a great place to have dinner. Greeted with a complimentary small slice of hot pizza, escorted to dining area with prompt, courteous service, great food and did I say great service? Maryann knows the ropes and is a friendly server. Stacy and I will return for sure!

Got the wings tonight. They were not like they normally are. Not very tasty and very dry. Have ordered them before and always been good. Might have just been an off day, at least I hope that’s the case.

Excellent pizza. Love the thin crust. There are lots of pizza places in colchester but we will be regulars here!

This place is somewhat difficult to find if unfamiliar with the area. Its stuffed in the Colchester Plaza filled with a CVS, a jewelry store, and even a tanning salon. Not exactly the environment I would be looking for. Once inside the restaurant, expect to be welcomed into the restaurant with a small yet delicious piece of cheese pizza. In regards to the food, there are very few actually good items on the menu. Buffalo chicken pizza and the spinach wheel are probably the top two items on the menu. Seating in the restaurant is a bear, but yet their take out system is a mess. Too small of an area for consumers to wait in. Management and employees are hard to work with and difficult to order from/with. Overall, the food is good, but all other areas of the restaurant lack.

Ordered a large pizza and an order of buffalo wings. They gave me a complimentary slice of veggie pizza. Nice guys who work in the front. The pizza was good, the wings I wasn’t a fan. Definitely come here for their pizza.

I used to love this place. The food was usually good, even though the kitchen often screwed up the orders. Then I visited several times in recent weeks and noticed the front end guys not using proper hygiene when it came to handling food. You know those little pizza samples they give you when you walk in? Did you notice the same guy handing those to you by touching them with his bare hands is also the guy handling money at the register and giving cash/change back to people constantly? I witnessed him share a pen at the counter with a customer who was sneezing into their hand… then touch the pizza slices! A second time I witnessed the delivery guy come in from his car, walk behind the register and process cash in the register, then use his bare hands to handle pizza and rolls behind the counter. No thanks. I’ve had enough. I can only imagine what goes on behind the scenes.

What is that great dipping sauce for the bread basket? Bottle it! Seems unique to this one. Nice food. Good service. A bit pricey on the pizza –but that buffalo chicken pizza is to die for! Also unique to this location!

Absolutely delicious pizza! Whenever we are in the area we make sure we stop by Illiano’s and pick up a slice of Bianca pizza(Ricotta, Mozzarella, Garlic, Parmigiano, and Fresh Parsley). Super friendly staff too! Tip: There is extra seating in the back so if the front isn’t comfortable, the back has booths.

I won a $ 25– gift card at a golf raffle so I decided to give Illiano’s. shot. My wife and I walk in to a typical small town pizza place which we try to support. Friendly greeting at the door, okay great! We sit at a booth in the back and 2 sample slices of pizza arrive. Even better! Things started to go down hill from here. We peruse the menu and decide to go with calamari and shrimp marinara pasta and an eggplant grinder. The wine list was low end but fine for a pizza place. Stale bread that is only edible after being dredged in garlic olive oil arrives. 20 minutes later my calamari shrimp pasta and my wife’s grinder arrives. Both are completely tasteless. We couldn’t sprinkle enough Parmesan, salt and pepper on them to rescue. It’s possible their pizza is good, at least according to other reviewers. But I won’t be back to find out.

As a local franchise in SECT, Illiano“s is well known. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with a sliver of thin crust cheese pizza which sets the tone for a yummy experience. I have had several things and many of the Illiano“s restaurants over the years. I have never had a negative experience. From the thin crust or Sicilian style pizzas to the salads or the the veggie calzone(my personal fave) the food always tastes fresh and is consistently good. I stopped in Colchester Illiano’s with my aunt for lunch. I ordered a greek salad and she ordered a cesar salad. The salads were served quickly and I devoured mine with enthusiasm. The feta cheese was piled high and made for a happy greek salad experience. The salad tasted fresh, however not organically fresh. In my experience, the majority of restaurants do not serve organic produce. There are several pizza style restaurants in Colchester, Illiano’s is the most consistent and reliable. Also, you can’t beat a free sliver of cheese pizza!

I’ve been coming here for a few years and it seems like it’s gone downhill a little bit. Not enough to stop coming, but it’s not at the top of my list anymore either. Pizza is pretty good but too expensive($ 17 for a medium Hawaiian?), calzones and stromboli are better, pasta is hit or miss. Really the best part of coming here is the free slice of pizza they’ll give you at the front counter even if you’re just picking up your takeout. Staff always seems to be working hard and having a good time — it’s definitely an upbeat place. Just wish they’d get back to being a little more consistent.

Lots of pizza joints in Colchester, but this place probably has the best, and the guys working the front counter have always been friendly, even supplying a sample slice when picking up take-out. It’s our go-to place for local pizza.

We were. Staying at local campground, who recomened this pizza place! Since they delivered, we gave it a try. Called around 5:30 and ordered a three toppng red pizza and was given a 40 minute wait! Fine with us. 1 hour passed and I called to follow up on where the pizza was. The person who answered was rude and said the driver left 10 minutes ago. 15 minutes more passed before the driver arrived with our pizza. The driver was kind and appoligized for the wait. the pizza was cold but tasted good. The toppingswere plenty and cooked well. The crust was perfect but the lack of red sauce on the pizza was a downer. Would i rave the way the staff at this local campground did? Nope we were not impressed.

3.5 stars, and this Unilocal is for their slices only. i think their whole pie in general is pretty good but havent had one of those in a couple of years, same owners so i would guess its still the same. the real story is that ITS3BUCKS A SLICE!!! if it was a slice of gold leaf, meh, maybe 3 bucks. its pizza, its suppose to be 2 bucks tops! no toppings 2 bucks, here, 3! the nerve. what i do like is even with a slice they give you the comp quarter slice sample. I just had two slices and by halfway into #2 i was full, which i guess is good for 6 bucks, but 6 bucks! you know what im saying. for what its worth as noted, i think i like them more than Marlborough pizza down the road past the truck on blocks.
