Solid food. Oysters a little small, but the vignette made up for it. Tomato bisque was fenom and the pork taco’s were as well. Little pricey but reasonable for the quality. Good drink list to boot.

This is a very solid place with imaginative food, expertly prepared. The place itself is a bit on the«barney» side, but not distracting. It is a good place for kids who know how to behave in public. The menu is quite broad and my wife and I have enjoyed every item that we have ever ordered. There management and wait staff know their business and are both friendly and able. We’ve eaten here 6 – 7 times and have enjoyed the total experience very much.

I love the food and the atmosphere here. The menu changes seasonally and never disappoints. My only complaint is that I am typically a sit at the bar kind of person, but I always get a table here. The service has always been spot on when at a table and is hit or miss at the bar.

Very, very inconsistent. We keep going back because we wish the owners the best and they working hard. I would suggest revision of menu. tomato soup on the menu since beginning. Need a change. Also expediter should make sure soup is HOT? Even for lunch. clam chowder was only warm and tomato soup like paste and not hot. Salads need update… lettuce should be crispy and cold. Had well done cheeseburger, because normally love them there. It was like a hockey puck, did not return, I was with first timers and I was a little embarrassed that we had already sent back, chowder and soup. We want this place to succeed but needs improvement. great atmosphere and staff, but food is their business

I only wish I could forget my experience at Corner Stop. A Friday night bolognese was one of the worst dishes I ever had. The pasta was like GLUEANDIF I COULDHAVEEATENITTHEPORTIONWASCHILDSIZE. My husband and I sat at the bar which usually in itself is a nice experience, however, the bartender placed my drink down and said«here you go pal» !!! What? Never returning; food sub-par. Janie

Moved close to here recently and have already been twice. Both times the food, drinks and service were all excellent. Can’t wait to return!

Delicious. We had the lamb and bolognese. Both were so good that I can’t wait to go back. The staff was very friendly. There is a large, 360 bar with a good selection of beer, wine and cocktails.

Frustrated with Corner Stop something needs to change in the kitchen. We ordered a side order of parmesan black pepper fries and I couldn’t help but laugh at the fact someone thought anyone would want that much pepper. Multiple other instances of shotty service which I’d been willing to overlook

Great drinks, great food, great space. We moved recently to the area and were having a tough time finding, great eats well done craft cocktails and a clean well-designed space. The Corner Stop was the answer. We are there a few times a month, with and without our children.

Never disappointed here. Excellent bar. Kirsten is beyond good. She is great. Everyone here is friendly and knowledgable. We will be back. As a matter of fact we will be back tomorrow night. This evening we stopped for wine and salmon gravlax. Magnificent.

Not recommended. Frozen eggplant. Microwaved potatoes cold on the outside and hot in the inside. Overall one of the worst restaurant experiences we’ve had in a long time. Go elsewhere

I live nearby so I’m here fairly often. First off, the bar! It’s outright gorgeous. The drink menu is excellent, changes seasonally, with artisan cocktails made fresh. Bartenders are friendly and quick. The menu is a bit eclectic, leaning more towards lighter fare suited to the bar, but there’s something for everyone. I enjoy the oysters, flatbreads, and salads. Prices are mid-range for Cohasset with apps approx $ 8 – 12, entrees $ 16 – 29 and drinks mostly under $ 10/ea. Service is attentive but can get a bit sluggish on busy nights. I see the owner there often and he seems to be on top of things.

VERY disappointed! We took my parents here this Saturday night and left very unhappy. The food was about as unsatisfactory as it gets. The portions here are PATHETIC! I literally left there($ 140 later) and went to get dinner. For apps we had the empanadas(greasy and flavorless) and wings(like drinking soy sauce). Entrees we had Flank steak(undercooked although I ordered medium, tough, and covered in salt), Pork Chop(thin very heavily breaded and greasy), Chicken(flavorless and soupy), and Swordfish(flavorless). As I mentioned, the portions are incredibly small… fine-dining or not this was ridiculous. I ordered veggies for a side and got a few leafs of dry spinach… common! Do yourself a favor and don’t even consider this place… how it has 3.5 stars I am still trying to figure out

We live in the best possible area for fresh, delicious seafood, and they serve Hake for their fish sandwich? Actually the only fish on the menu was hake and salmon. Reminds me of my relative’s restaurant in Colorado having skate on his menu because they don’t know any better. We are not that stupid. Beautiful place but unless your into a million weird things in one dish, this isn’t the place for you… and paying a fortune for it at the same time.

What a shame… My mantra is thus: «Your food can be just okay, but if you treat me great, I’ll be back! I don’t care if your food is great. You treat me less than that, and I will never be back.» Such was my(and my friend’s) experience dining last Saturday night. The bartender who was serving us disappeared. No one else ever checked in with us. Had to flag an expeditor down and a server from the floor for some additional attention. Got the manager’s attention by walking across the restaurant to get him. Never saw him making the rounds or would have grabbed him to ask what the deal was. The manager apologized profusely and only when I asked to what end are you sorry did he choke out that he would comp the entrees. Still… if the service engine is that broken, that no one picks up the ball when dropped, I want nothing to do with this place. The swordfish I had was amazing and my friend loved her caesar with salmon. The bananas foster was a horrible excuse for the iconic dessert.

Would have been zero stars if possible. This place is horrible. I came the opening week and had a clam pizza that was raw. Like completely raw. Finally decided to come back tonight and it’s TERRIBLE. Crab cake is inedible. I literally spit the one and only bite I took into my napkin. The pizza tastes like the gas from the grill. Waitress is really nice but this place is horrible.

We like this place; it has a very cool main bar space and a great kids menu. However, the secondary dining room(where they mainly send people with kids) feels like a depressing basement cafeteria. Since it is filled with families with kids, the bad ambience gets even worse. Service was not good the last time. The wait staff was very young and acted like it, by accidentally charging an entire bottle of wine on our bill instead of a glass. We would have expected the manager(or a grown-up) to come to our table and apologize for this $ 40 error, but it didn’t happen. Service was also slow. The food is quite good, but addressing the above issues would take this restaurant to the next level. There are not too many places like this in the area, so I hope the management does something about it and keeps the place open and successful.

The Corner Stop is one of our local favorite restaurants. The couple that owns it, Rudy and Ron Vale, as well as the head chef, Sam Cabral have created a perfect place to bring the entire family for a delicious meal. The décor has a Nantucket vibe combined with a sports bar. The food is very good with a number of not so healthy comfort food(steak burgers) to healthy salad options(Hippy Dippy). I especially like the kids menu, a clipboard where they can choose items like veggies and fruit to supplement the ubiquitous cheese pizza. The wine and beer selection is limited but well chosen. I have liked everything off of them familiar or not. Cocktails are imaginative and well balanced. The kitchen and servers can become overwhelmed at busy times. When the owners are not around I have noticed a decline in quality of service and/or food. This is too bad as everyone needs time off. I enjoy this place and can overlook the hiccups. Some of their special events(farm to table dinners) have been especially good.

This is the place as you are heading through Hingham down to Hull and just before you get to Hull it is somehow located in Cohasset.. .. O.k. Well we stopped in and I have to say the bar is pretty nice. Big, airy with a seemingly happy barstaff that seem to be very accommodating. Drinks — very good. good pours, good mixed drinks and beer selection. A pilsner and a Pretty Things rather than your standard IPA, IPA, IPA, Sam Adams, Bud Lite. Food it seems to be geared a bit more for the appetizers and bar finger food. Yeah, I know they have entrée features but they don’t seem to be as strong of offerings as the apps. I think the chef thinks they have ‘fine food’ but seeing it and eating it I just didn’t get that vibe. Steak over a Hippy dippy salad, a roasted chicken that was dry to the point of embarrassment and a flat bread which was good. The bigger point was the ‘dining room’ being low ceiling and a bit dark… almost awkward. A table in the bar is ten times the find. Sitting there the dining room seemed like they should just accept the space for what it is and tear it up and but a nice back bar in the space and make it high top tables and bar food service… like a little Irish Snug. I’m sure $ per square foot would be through the roof and patrons would gravitate toward it rather that accept it as ‘over flow’ seating from the beautiful bar area. Just my 2 cents worth… and I think John Taffer would approve.

Let me start off by saying that I love this place and it was my first time here tonight and I’m so glad that my wife and I found this place because we will be returning here often. That being said I shall proceed with some of my basic point guideline reviews Parking: Ample free parking no issues Décor /ambience: Beautiful modern cozy high ceilings. Lots of Birchwood gives a nice organic feel Greeting: Prompt warm and inviting. Very happy to see us as if we were regulars even though it was our first time there Menu mix: Very creative, strong culinary talents and well thought out dishes. This is fine inner-city dining without having to travel to the city and pay a fortune for parking Does the water taste of bleach? Unfortunately this is one of my criteria points. And so many restaurants either fine dining or common dining you find this when you get regular water service. I’m a common guy so when I have water before a meal I like it right out of the pipe. I very rarely opt for the bottled water or sparkling that is sometimes offered. The water here did taste of bleach, thus the rinse cycle on the dish machine must be adjusted. Drink pour: Very nice pour here. My wife and I had a few glasses of wine and I was very happy with the generous pour. The prices were extremely reasonable too. Nothing I hate more than a skimpy pour glass of wine especially when you’re paying so much for per glass Food quality: Fantastic top-notch, this is the stuff you going to find in the big city without having to travel there. This is a true local gem for foodies and people who simply like great food. Very nice presentation too Service: The service was spectacular we will well attended to and felt very comfortable with our server Karen Value: Fantastic value for the food quality level. Two appetizers, a few cocktails and two pricey entrées was 125 which included our gratuity Would I return? Absolutely !!! Comments /tips: If you are just a party of two ask for the corner table that is in view of the fireplace in the tavern. In my opinion it’s the coziest table when taking your honey out. I did walk the rest of the dining area and you would be happy pretty much anywhere you sit. I just like the idea of seeing flickering flames when I’m eating. It gives an extra five point advantage on food service and Ambience. Bar seating looks very inviting as well. It’s a beautiful wraparound bar that’s in the high ceiling section of the building, the fireplace is in full view towards the entrance end. There are also couches near the fireplace if you want to sit and have some cocktails. Just ate there again on 1÷17÷15. great meal! however the water still taste of bleach. I hope this gets addressed because its the only bad point for me.
