After a long night of gambling our casino host gave us a well deserved comp for here. The place was pretty empty and had an old mobster type of feel to it. The food was delicious and the portions were huge! I would recommend the seafood risotto.

Came to this excellent Italian restaurant in the Seminole Coconut Creek Casino for Wine Down Wednesday. Right away it is good to know that Self Parking is free. The service from bartender Shawna, who hails from Michigan, was impeccable. I love how all of the restaurant staff’s nametags detail where they are from. I think this is a casino thing. Very impressive that two types of warm bread– foccacia & Italian-, were brought out on a lovely wooden platter with both pesto(?) butter and housemade, fresh Pesto. A lot of restaurants have elimated bread service yet it is available here without even having to ask. As it was Wine Down Wednesday the winelist of wines by the glass is ample and has many Italian Wine offerings plus a Prosseco at $ 7.00 a glass. I ordered the Dreaming Tree CABERNETSAUVIGNON. I am not ordinarily a CAB drinker but was in the mood for a red wine. The Wednesday Wine Down Wednesday table tent menu of Small Plates is attached to the Wednesday $ 7.00 wine list. That is to say that one side of the table tent is a list of the wines while the other side is the Sorrisi Small Plates menu. There was also a Lasagna Dinner Special available that night. But I only tasted the Crispy Cheese Balls appetizer which is a spin on the common fried mozzerella cheese bar fare appetizer except these come six(6) round shaped balls of fried cheese per(small) plate and are accompanied by what I believe is a cream based marinara sauce. All in all, very tasty and served piping hot. If I could change anything here it would be for the cigarette smell that seems ever-present in this casino atmosphere to be kept somehow at bay. This place has class and is well decorated also!

I’ve been to this place over 50 times. It is pricey(about 25 per person) but it is definitely worth it. The food is great quality, most servers are very polite and the ambience is amazing. It is located in the casino but I go there just for the food. It is by far the best restuarant I’ve been to. Some places are a hit or miss sometimes but this is consistently great.

Okay, my wife was much more understanding and pleasant with her review but I will not sugar coat mine. Let me start by saying I do not mind paying for a good meal, if it is worth it. For example Ruth’s Chris Steak house with drinks, apps, sides and entrée will run you around $ 200 or so for a couple, but I must say it is well worth the money. The servers are always on top of things and the food is excellent. So the pricing at Sorrisi would not ever be an issue if the service and food was better than a soup kitchen. As my wife stated, our night started out very well. We have been to Coconut many time but have never tried Sorrisi as the buffet and Sunset Grill are very good places to eat. The hostess was very invited and we even joked around a bit before we were seated early. We sat outside in the casino smoking area, which was a plus. We were surprised that there were some empty tables, especially on New Years Eve. We were seated at about 8:55 and we thought, great we will be in and out and have a great meal and be back to gambling well before midnight. Our bread and oil was brought right away and the server was pleasant and attentive answering our questions on some of the menu items. Our drinks came about 10 minutes later and we ordered our app, which took about 15 minutes or so to come. Okay, so things are going well and the antipasto was out of this world. We should have stopped there, called it a night and left because the next hour and a half was the worst experience I have had at any restaurant including a stop at a Flying J truck stop on I-95. I ordered the Lamb Chops, as I am a meat fanatic. I was so looking forward to a nice chunk of rare tender rack. So about 45 minutes later after not seeing our waitress or my tender little baby lamb the table next to us got their order. The waitress, as she was passing by, said sorry for the delay our kitchen is backed up, and kept walking. She never asked if we needed another drink or anything else to make our wait a little more tolerable. After another 30 minutes of people watching and seeing my numbers come up on the roulette wheel, I went to speak with the hostess. She said«I am so glad you guys are still here, I thought you were going to leave before I could say goodbye,» I informed her that we had not even received our food yet and she was shocked. She said she would check on it for us as there should not be this long of a wait. She came to our table and said the manager was handling it and our food would be there shortly. The anticipation was building as I saw a server bringing a tray with what looked like our food, My mouth was watering as I placed my napkin on my lap and grabbed my knife and fork. FINALLY, my sweet tender baby lamb chops were here. The plate looked great, from a distance. When the server placed it in from of me I could see right away that my lamb was overcooked. I touched it and it was cold. I had a tear in my eye as I looked down and the terribly mistreated cut of meat. When I moved one of the chops it was stuck to the crust of the risotto. Yes, I said CRUST of the risotto. My risotto had and actual CRUST on it. After breaking open the CRUST, again yes, CRUST, the inside of the risotto was even worse. So imagine if you cooked some boil-in-bag rice, shaped it into a ball and put it under a broiler for, oh let’s say an hour an a half, it would have been creamier and more pleasant than what was put on my $ 38 plate. Now on to the lamb. I cut into it, or sawed through it would be a better description. I can only describe it as if McDonalds had added lamb chops to there dollar menu. This was the MOSTDISSAPOINTING plate I have ever had placed in front of me. I think you get the picture. So again I go to the hostess, since our server was nowhere to be found, and she said she would send the manager over. He came over and seemed kind of put out that I did not love their FINEDINNING Tender Hot Juicy Lamb Chops and Creamy Parm Risotto. He did however offer us a free drink and to take my entrée off of the bill. What a swell guy. A true fine dinning manager that was really apologetic and cared about food quality and return customers would have comped the entire meal due to our 2 hour and 10 minute visit at McBugerBell. So we ended up paying $ 82 for some bread, meat, cheese, and 2 drinks. Wow — just Wow. We will never ever eat at this joint again. No second chance. I would rather order a bowl of chili and french fries at the poker table than see another beautiful cut of meat be mistreated as the chef(fry cook) did at Sorrisi.

We had reservations on New Years Eve, and were seated early. The evening started off terrific. Staff greeted us with an upbeat attitude and we felt welcomed. The restaurant was busy, but not as jammed as you would expect for a busy dining holiday evening. I cannot stress how well things started off: Our initial drink order was slow, but that’s to be expected on a holiday known for cocktails. Our appetizer came — Antipasto for two — and was incredible. This was starting out to be an awesome evening. Then, they took our order — about 20 minutes after we’d been seated and gotten our appetizer. That was where things went down hill. Again — I cannot stress that there was NOT an overwhelming crowd… and our order was not complicated(Capresi salad with a side of pasta, and lamb chops with rissoto). 30 minutes later… people were trailing out of the restaurant and not really streaming in at the same pace(it was about 10 pm at this point)…so our server telling us the kitchen was backed up was a little puzzling. She took another drink order from us. 15 minutes later… we had the drinks… and still no food. Finally, after an hour and 10 minutes of waiting, we asked the hostess what was going on — since our server was, apparently, MIA. We got up to find the hostess, as our server hadn’t made an appearance for 20 minutes or so to check our drinks, update on the status of our absent meal. 1 hour and 20 minutes after we’d ordered… our food arrived. The lambchops were overcooked and cold, and the risotto was crusty. My caprisi was beautiful… and had no flavor whatsoever. The balsamic reduction tasted… off…like it had been burned. The pasta dish was good, however. But, overall… the food we received was incredibly sub par for the price, AND for being brought to us after an hour and 20 minutes, with only apparently manager intervention spurring it. In short… we won’t be back. Given that it was our first visit — the price was just disproportionate to the quality… the service was, ultimately, not what we expected… and there was no excuse for having to be there for two hours and be ignored for the latter half and brought such underwhelming food. Again… had it had a ‘typical’ New Years Eve crowd, I could complete understand the long wait — but it was barely over 50% when we got there — absolutely no excuse for being slow AND bad. If you are dining at Seminole Coconut Creek — the buffet, deli or outdoor grill are far superior options for service and value.

We sat at the bar, got the Charcuterie board, burrata ensalata and some small plates with two desserts to go. everything was pretty good. Andre, the bartender, took great care of us though. I dont drink alcohol and really wanted a ginger beer, he went to the restaurant next door and got one for me, true hospitality. Defiantly will be coming backto try some more things on the menu. The short rib looked great. Their gelato is awesome(dulce de leche !!!)

Best desert I have tried! The Crème Brulee was amazing! Presentation was excellent and everything was delicately prepared. Our server did a great job of making sure we enjoyed our time there. The ambiance was enjoyed as well. Overall wonderful place to eat, and we will be back! :)

Visited Sorrisi a second time. Service was very good across the board. Ordered the rigatoni bolognese, a simple yet flavorful dish I often order to get a feel for how well a restaurant prepares a basic dish. When served, the presentation was good and the food was extra hot. The noodles were cooked al dente. The sauce was thick and well spiced, with no single spice dominating. The restaurant was not packed, but there was a good crowd, both in the dining area and at the bar. The bar has a nice feature, both inside and outside seating. Sorrisi is a good restaurant that will have a place in my dining rotation when in Florida.

We are rating high for the service we received from our waitress from Long Island, NY. She was kind, friendly and professional. Top notch service from her! The venue is an upscale Italian restaurant, dark and intimate. Celebrity black and white pictures on the wall. Nicely decorated. Quite lovely. We ordered their lobster ravioli special as an appetizer. Large pieces, stuffed perfectly. Light cream sauce, nice crunchy garnish. I ordered their short ribs entrée with risotto. The short ribs were perfectly cooked, not fatty, boneless. The risotto was creamy, perfect, not mushy. So good! I saw their shrimp pasta dish served at our table. The shrimp were huge. Looked and smelled delicious. My husband ordered the chicken parmesan that was almost bigger than the plate! We had the Chocolate Semi Fredo for dessert, light and not too sweet. It was a quality meal and experience.

I honestly don’t know why the reviews are so low??? We went here last Friday after some cocktailing and some gambling, albeit because the steakhouse was booked. The restaurants was indeed quite empty, but the 7 of us were able to sit down at 8 o’clock on a Friday night and order some cocktails and appies. Our waitress was great! We started with a truffle white pizza and 2 meat&cheese boards, perfect for sharing and picking at. The table ordered: — Lamb Chops — one was cooked just right the other was definitely undercooked for my likings… they both ate it all up — Short rib with Parmesan risotto instead of mushroom risotto(I don’t like those things). Mine was delicious there was so much food I took half of it home — White Sauce Clams and Linguini– tons of clams on this one –Spaghetti Bolognese– this was all gone too We had a great time with fast and attentive service. I do have some suggestions which I think could help this place out: 1) make it an Italian Chophouse like Timpanos on Las Olas 2) Add in the Café Martorano element– make it darker, make the music louder, make it seem more like a club. Compared to the chaos that was going on across the way at the Steakhouse this place was relatively tame 3) Offer a tapas menu and /or add some more $ 12-$ 19 priced items. The vast majority of the entrees were in the $ 24+ price range. To be honest, I think they would get more traffic is there was more lower priced options 4) Have a Happy Hour with half priced appies and good deals on wine 5) Make the back of the room more of a dance floor with a deejay… they have the space and it didn’t look like it was being utilized correctly. There’s no club ATALL in this casino… think about it, maybe if it’s only on the weekends. 6) Risotto section, it was delicious I would’ve liked to have ordered it for my whole meal and it’s so rare to find it on a menu 7) Rebrand, change the name, it’s hard to pronounce spell and not memorable

We are back at the casino with my father-in-law so we gave it another try. Excellent this time. New chef and new manager has done wonders. My husband had a chicken and fennel sausage dish with shaved potatoes and shallots that he loved and F-I-L had linguini with clams he said was delicious. I had a fettuccini primavera which was fresh and light. Super good, tremendous portions. The highlight of the meal was the funghi pizza with a cream sauce and mounds of ricotta cheese with the most amazing crust. Divine. Give it a try if you are at the casino. This place has done a 180!

Service was good and staff was attentive. The braised short ribs are out of this world. The snapper Franese was delicious and light. The calamari appetizer was awesome. The eggplant appetizer was good but I was expecting kind of a rolanti. it was tasty but different. Wasn’t as saucy.

Ate at Sorrisi Saturday night while visiting the casino. We just had a couple of appetizers and a pizza and they were fine. Not bad, not great — just fine. I had the carpaccio which had truffle oil. I don’t mind truffle oil but just didn’t expect it. I also had the caprese salad. There were 2 different color tomatoes, no fresh basil and I believe mozzarella that wasn’t fresh mozzarella but perhaps packaged mozzarella. It tasted fine and had some balsamic vinegar. Hubby had a pizza margherita — it was tasty. Service was prompt and friendly. Wouldn’t go out of my way to go back but would stop in if we were hungry while at the casino

This place does not know how to make pasta. Had Veal Parm which is just a fried piece of Veal with cheese and sauce. The worst was the Fettuccine Alfredo side dish. They claim to make fresh pasta… if so, they have no clue how. Grainy mush with no taste Alfredo sauce. I heard the manager make excuses when the other party next to me complained. Better get a clue fast. Update 12÷19÷13 Sorry Richard but you’re 7 months late … Until you get a real chef and not cooks, the place will never be good. I don’t even use my free coupons.

Their Tuna Carpaccio was gross! Don’t do it! It was not fresh, not sliced into pieces. It was a big slice on a bed of old avocados! Nasty. It actually ruined the rest of the evening for me. I orderd the Eggplant Parmesean, and I usually always love it when I do order. But this particular dish at Sorrisi was kind of stale, it was too hard. Not even flavor, pretty bland. I dont know if it was because we arrived later in the evening, 11PM, or if its always like this, but it was pretty bad. My BF enjoyed his Surf and Turf, and friend enjoyed her marsala. Im giving it 3 stars, because 1. Service was good. 2. The desert we had was even better 3. It was a nice little spot Hope this helps!

Looking for a nice place to have dinner before a show at the casino, we decided to give Sorrisi a try. Are we glad we did as we just found our new favorite Italian restaurant! Our server, Lisa, was top-notch. She treated us like we were old friends and handled every question and request as if she were truly invested in us having a great experience. We were also visited by both managers on duty(Michael and Richard). They both wanted to make sure that our experience was nothing less than fantastic. On to the food… We started with«Portobello Sorrisi» which is roasted portobello mushrooms stuffed with chorizo, crab meat and is oven-baked. My wife had the Fresh Arugula Salad while I opted for the Caesar Salad. We then shared a pizza with our ingredients. Everything was great and we couldn’t have been happier with our meal. Bottom line: we will be back.

Casino’s just know how to do food right. It’s counterintuitive but its true. My friend and I got a little hungry while gambling up a storm and we figured we’d give some of our winnings back to the casino. Our luckiest call was deciding to eat here. Let me recommend the Yellowtail carpaccio. It surely doesn’t fit on the traditional menu but it is great!(photo attached).** They make the pasta in house** here and it is so good. I’ve never had fresh pasta that was this delicious. I got the meat sauce served on it. Amore’! My friend got a pizza with sausage and peppers which was about 12 inches in diameter and more than enough for a hungry gambler! The restaurant is HUGE… I don’t think they could ever have a wait and the open kitchen and sheik ambiance are nice touches. I guess casinos just have enough money to do things right the first time! **Fresh Pasta **Great Pizza **Awesome Atmosphere
