Bella Roma Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria

Absolutely delicious! We go here every time we are in town. Each meal comes with garlic rolls, soup or salad, and ice cream. The garlic rolls are to die for! We enjoy the lasagna and baked Ziti. The restaurant is small so it can get loud inside but overall great experience!

I have been here several times to pick up large orders for a customer. The food seems to take a while, but it is really good. The pizza is chewy without being tough and not too greasy. The chicken park is great as well as the other pasta dishes (so says my customer). Great family place.

Been there twice. First time was on a weekday and the food and service were good. This past Saturday night, the food was meh and the service was bad. To the staff credit, they kept apologizing and telling us the food would be coming out soon. But, we waited maybe 45 minutes together entrees, two of which came out lukewarm and a third came out way too hot. Something did not work between the kitchen and our table.

I grew up in the neighborhood across the street and have been coming to Bella Roma for many years. It is an absolute must that I get takeout from there every time I am back home. I have never dined in, but the pickup and delivery service has always been fast and friendly. Pizzas are great, plain cheese is even fantastic. I love the pasta fagioli as well, and if you like garlic get the knots for sure.

Awesome Pizza, been eating it since high school almost 20 years ago! I order the special, they empty the kitchen filling it up with toppings, has become a little pricey in the last 5 years but the quality is top notch. Delivery is normally an hour+ or I would give 5 stars.

Been using this place as my go to pizza joint since I moved to Deerfield. The pizza is very good, love the sauce and nice crispy crust. I’m a new yorker so crust is important and they got it! They also have this awesome spinach roll that is so big it will serve 3 – 4 people! Give it a try!

Since Lorenzo’s had to leave the Publix plaza because of high rent, I had to find an alternative Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. So to get my fix, I began ordering from Bella Roma. I don’t know how many chefs they have, but it’s hit or miss when you get pizza delivered and I usually order takeout from them 4 – 5 times a month. I like my pizza done, but not charred and burnt like I bought recently. Maybe a quick wipe down of their oven with a damp cloth would prevent this from happening. The pizza is usually good when not over baked. If I wanted my food blackened, I would let my sister cook. I guess I’ll switch to Red Baron when it’s BOGO at Publix so for now, Bella gets two stars.

So I thought I’d try this place again after a 4-​month sabbatical and all I have to say is WHO-​HA. I asked the chef for a light crust and that’s what I got. (New pics.) Thank you!!!

Last month, I found this place on Unilocal and was intrigued by the overall good reviews. During the first visit, a friend and I enjoyed pasta and garlic rolls which were tasty. The table next to us had a mouth-​watering speciality pizza delivered just as we were leaving. It looked so tempting, I knew it would only be a matter of time before my next visit.
Tonight, my entire family had a craving for pizza. Finally, I had an opportunity to return! Unfortunately, this trip was not enjoyable. The dining room only had a few tables occupied upon our arrival. The waitress took our order and returned with the drinks and rolls quickly. That was the high point of the evening. The tables began to fill up and time kept passing. After 45 minutes, I called the waitress over to inquire why other tables were being served ahead of us. She apologized but stated the kitchen keeps telling her that our large sausage pizza was «in the oven». My patience was wearing thin as my 8 year-​old was getting understandably upset by the delay. She promised the food would be out in a «few minutes». Fifteen minutes later, the food arrived and it was underwhelming. The sausage was skimpy and crust was like cardboard. The manager approached the table to ask how everything was. We explained our dissatisfaction. The manager apologized and admitted the pizza kitchen was unusually busy (although that was not an excuse). She offered a 20% discount. I replied, «You may do whatever you feel is best, but that won’t make me want to return»
The waitress overhead the exchange and may have felt embarrassed because she did not return to the table. She had to be flagged down just to get refills. She returned with the drinks and stated there would be no charge for the dinner.
In summary, 3 stars is a polite representation of the first visit only. If you dine here, stick to the pasta and forget the pizza.

Omg I love there pizzas here. Today was better than usual! I called back to compliment they said they just got NEW PIZZA OVEN ’ must try!!!

Had two large pizzas and some wings delievered. Honestly a little pricy so doubt I’ll be going often but the food was great. My perfect pizza, not too greasy or saucy, crunchy yet soft crust, and fresh toppings.
Can’t wait to order more! :)

Wednesday night — pizza. Sweet sweet pizza.
Thursday night — pizza. Yes. It was so good I needed more.
Friday night — Italian combo sub. Very good and generous portion.

One of those great family pizza places where you have to bring your own wine. How can you have italian without a little vino? Giant pizza, friendly service and great take out.

Delicious food. The chicken parmesan is amazing! My friends always get the chicken porcini (spelling?) and every time they love it. We always get delivery which always arrives in a reasonable amount of time. Next time I will eat at the restaurant to see how that is. Their pizza is also ALWAYS delicious. yummy yummy!

First timer. Ordered ziti with chicken and heavy garlic – menu said made with chicken broth. I prefer olive oil but did not want to materially alter the dish, although requested substitution of whole wheat. Very large portion served in large bowl. Spaghetti pasta (not ziti) was overcooked to the point of mush. The bowl was swimming in an oily concoction that I poured off into the empty cup from the chicken pastina soup which was ok, but not hearty. My salad was right out of the spring mix bag, with one slice of cuke and a small tomato wedge – boring. On the bright side – service by Ben was attentive, garlic rolls were good and wife loved her tester dish chicken parm. Ambience is nice for neighborhood place, and no one could ever go home hungry. Place has potential but needs to use fresh garlic not stuff in the jar swimming in oil.

I am not big on pizza; however, when I first tried their cheese pizza… I was blown away by the incredible taste. Large pizza slices with booming marinara and cheese flavor. I also had the Fried mozzarella… Again delicious! Rich mozzarella cheese. Surprisingly they offer a gluten-​free pizza. But it comes in a personal pan size. That pizza also taste great. My only complaint would be the size. I love the barbecue sauce they use for their wings. The wings are good but I didn’t enjoy them as much as leftovers the next day. This restaurant is located in a convenient spot. On the inside it looks very cozy. The customer service is okay. When I go, I tend to see the same faces so that’s a good thing.

Best italian lunch specials in the area, great price and very generous portions. Friendly staff and delivers food in a timely manner even on busy days. The pizza is the best in the area, never any complaints.

Great food great service and terrific prices. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but there’s good food inside. This is a great Italian restaurant with full meals not just a pizza place. It’s BYOB and a favorite for the locals.

First time trying the pizza with steak & chicken!!! Different huh? Well is absolutely delicious its a must try. One box is $ 30 yes it’s expensive but one slick will full you up. Super delicious & fulling

This place delivered the most disgusting linguini & white clam sauce I have ever had. The pasta was so over cooked & the clam sauce was pasty. How the hell do you screw up white clam sauce???

The first meal that I have when I go visit my grand parent is my calzone. They over load it with cheese and I am sure they put sugar in the sauce. It is all so good. And I can’t forget about the garlic buns they give you at the beginning of the meal
