This is an attractive wine bar located in the popular Promenade at Coconut Creek shopping mall. I really enjoy the atmosphere and tried to catch happy hour today but it wasn’t meant to be because it turned out the wine I selected(by The Glass) was not at happy hour price. I asked for water but when my wine choice was researched to see if it fell within happy hour pricing I never got the water either because it was never brought. I also smelled too much the smell of cigars around 4:15 pm in the afternoon in here but it did not seem like the few people– about 5 others– had a lit cigar inside. On my way out I saw that a guy on the sidewalk seating area had a cigar that was blowing inside. I will try again another time because it has been good in the past. I would REALLY like it if this bar added wifi connectivity!

We use to love this place. My boyfriend and I were very excited when this place opened. However yesterday prove why this place is going down… we brought a Groupon. We buy them once in a while it was worth 35 dollars. Trust me we planed on spending way more than the 35 dollars. We go in and sit down, we had two waiters walk pass us not even saying hello. Ok we go up to the bar get menus as they didn’t care to notice us. They gave us two menus and one of them was not correct. Finally a lady comes up to us calling her self providing service. she was very rude especially once she found out we had a Groupon. Trying to order wine they didn’t have half the wine in stock. As we tired to order something else she walked away. If she is the manager what a horrible way of treating paying customer regardless if we had a groupon or not. We were still paying customer we waited about 10 to 15 mins. She made sure to service everyone else but us. We walked out this is horrible place use to be great… Sad I doubt we will be going back. If we could give a place no stars I would give it to this wine bar…

Never seen a so called ‘wine bar’ not list a vintage of a wine on the menu. This is a wine bar not the wine isle at publix, which by the way has a better selection. The first two wines I ordered off the menu were not in stock. After that ordeal I settled in for a glass of water, which they thankfully had stock of. The food is not bad, but be prepared to wait a while for it, even in an empty restaurant. The servers were friendly and tried to make the best of a what is an obviously bad situation. I wish them luck, but wouldn’t put money on their long term success.

This place was super cute. My friends and I stopped in for girls nite. We had wine and apps. It was a Friday nite and they had live music and great vibe. Great wine selection, the server was knowledgeable and the seating roomy. I will definitely be back.

I chose the most expensive red wine by the glass and it tasted like an old Chianti. I quickly returned both glasses and ordered what we had last week. I am so glad I tasted my glass before we got stuck paying for two. Still no napkins were delivered with our wines the second time around and I never got the bartender’s name all she could do was tell me that they were closing in 10 minutes(ANHOURBEFOREITSTATESONTHEIR UnilocalBUSINESSPAGE) and that was their last call. I guess we can only have one glass because they stop serving. We ended up sitting outside having our single glass of wine paid our bill and took the party elsewhere. I guess this is my go to spot with friends. Love the ambiance, LOVE the company, love the wine. I’m sure we’ll be back.

I love this wine bar. Nobody seems to want to come here, and I don’t know why. The servers are always nice and attentive. They have a decent selection of wine, even for the aspiring wine snob. Basically, it is a nice, relaxing place to go and enjoy a glass of wine(or 5 glasses) with friends. There are so few wine bars. Anyone want to go with me?

Pamela was the worst manager I’ve ever encountered. She is unprofessional and drives away business with her rude attitude.

I stopped by Bottega last week with a couple of friends for a casual dinner and I like it. It has a lot of pieces in place for«love» but these loose ends do need to be improved. While I passed on the wine, I did indulge on the food. Both in portion size and taste, Bottega gets the concept of tapas right. I ordered both the BBQ chicken quesadilla and the Chicken sliders and couldn’t finish either. Both were packed with meat, and very flavorful. The mashed potatoes served with the sliders were tasty as well and a nice surprise, given my experience with Miami tapas portions. The bruschetta my friends ordered and I sampled was rich with a lot of tomatoes and cheese. Besides the bar area, a lot of the seating is low couches which make it a great venue for a date, with the dim lights and coziness. The couches are also good for friendly conversation… or attempts thereof. This is not a knock on the band, since they were pleasant and had a good beat but maybe this may not be the best place for full blast amps. As others noted, it was a little bit louder than what I expected for a wine bar. This made it difficult to have a conversation. Texting back and forth isn’t suitable for an evening out either. I also had to look for the server a couple of times to close out my check. Here’s hoping they fix these couple of hiccups since I really like the concept and food!

We have heard about Bottega Wine Bar a long time ago and anytime we were in the area of The Promenade in Coconut Creek we stopped by to check it out during the day and it was closed. Finally last Friday night we decided to go there with a couple of our friends because it was near where we attended a small event. I had a great impression of this place as I walked in. Low lit, cozy atmosphere with comfortable couches and tables to just chill out and enjoy a great bottle of wine and small tapas appetizers. Bottega has a nice comfortable bar, but the couches are definitely more desirable. The wines that they carried were defiantly to my liking, a nice variety and the prices are very reasonable. We picked a nice bottle of Staggs Leap Artemis Cabernet. I was happy to hear the price and figured that would be the bottle of the night. We picked our couch space out, brought the bottle to the bartender and they brought over 4 glasses, as we were waiting for more people, a small ice bucket and opened the bottle for us at our small table. Bottega had a jazz/blues band playing on a small stage in front of the couch area. The music was good, but for that type of cozy atmosphere, did really not fit and they were too loud for anyone to really carry on a good conversation. I love great blues, and even jazz, rock and any type of music, but this was a little too much for this type of wine bar. Most of the wine bars are very limited in their food and tapas menu choices, but Bottega had much more variety to chose from. We had the Chicken Pesto Sliders which were pretty good. The Chicken lettuce wrap was ok, probably should not have ordered it. The Bruschetta was below average, not very creative and had too much tomato taste to it and not enough flavor. Either we picked the wrong tapas items for what we were drinking or their food is just average. Lastly, believe this or not, the cell service and internet was practically non existent. I asked one of the servers what the problem was and he told me it just was never very good and to put my cell phone in a GLASS, which would pick up more reception… REALLY? What good does a glass of cell phone do? This was pretty funny. The overall service was just ok. They did not voluntarily take the dishes off the table and never came over to check on us. When it came time for the check, we had to track down our server. I really loved the atmosphere here, and for that I would only come back if I was in the area. If I wanted to go to a good wine bar, their are a couple much better places in Broward county I would chose over this. Their is definitely potential here to make this more desirable. Chuck the band, get serious with the food and get some cell service in here so we can get on Unilocal while we are there. Lastly, need to get some personal service here that one can remember and brag about.

My husband and I have always wanted to stop in and check out this wine bar. So this rainy Friday night we decided to go with some friends. We were lucky to find parking in front but this area is very busy. They have a few high top table and a few couches and big comfy chairs. They also have a nice bar. This place is very cute and chill and very inviting. We sat in the back on couches. The room is very intimate and lights are very low. They have a huge wine selection and some beers and tapas type foods. We ordered a bottle of wine which was priced very reasonable. Then we ordered some apps the lettace wraps were good and the chicken sliders were ok but the bruschetta was not good. They have live music but way too loud to carry conversation with anyone. The service isn’t the best. They never came and cleaned our table and I had to hunt them down for the bill. I would probaly go back for a glass of wine if I was in the neighborhood. P. S. cell phones don’t work well in there

The 4 stars are for the okinawa tuna and seaweed salad! ! It was delicious with a spicy mayo sauce. I had never been there before and we actually sat outside which was nice. I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio but it wasn’t great so I didn’t finish it. I’d go back for the tuna! !

This is was 2nd visit to this wine bar and I am disappointed I had to give them 3 stars. The food and wine was good. The service was ok but not great but it was the loud music and lack of ac. I had a headache at the end of our dinning experience and the lack of air flowing made the night terrible when my friend felt sick and had to walk out. Both negative experience were for the same thing, loud music and lack of ac. I will wait to visit once it cools down a little so I can so I can sit outside. Not a fan of writing bad reviews but when you have to same problem on two separate visits it’s important to take note and hope management make changes

This place is great for happy hour. Sliders and bruschetta are solid options. Live music Thursday thru Sunday(sometimes it’s a bit funky, but sure better than nothing). Staff is hit or miss, which is the only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5. Cheese selection is expansive, and for the pick three platter, you get a lot. Also, craft beer selection is quite nice. But, we’re happy hour goers so you should be too, and go to bottega!

My gf and I came here last Saturday night for a few glasses of wine and an app. We were greeted quickly and our orders taken, the tortellini I ordered was very good and the first glasses came quickly. Then stopped I sat for over 25minutes with an empty wine glass in front of me waiting for a server. I wanted a second glass. I did not see another server until we were fed up and wanted to leave, and even then it was a girl that was serving another group the entire time that saw us sitting annoyed. The place was not busy, maybe half full, I don’t understand 25minutes of waiting

It was nice to be able to do a wine flight where I got to make my own selections. You can do either a 3 or 4 glass flight. Unfortunately, I wasn’t wowed by any of my choices and many of the wines are California wines so the regional variety is small. Happy hour is offered here from 5−7pm during the week and you can get $ 5 wines and small plates. Bottega is located in the Promenade shops in Coconut Creek. It’s a nice little alcove to get a quiet drink if you live out west and don’t want to drive down to Fort Lauderdale or out Boca. World of Beer is in the same center so Bottega gives you an alternative if you’re not a beer drinker or are just feeling a different vibe for the night.

Borgata wine bar is a great place to enjoy a bottle of wine and a cheese plate but the music and the service may be a turn off. We visited a The Borgata wine bar for a night out on a a Saturday night. The wine selection was excellent and the food was good but the music /entertainment was both strange and atypical of a venue of this stature. Upon arriving at Borgata, we ordered a bottle of a Stags Leap Artemus Cabernet and a cheese plate + dried meats about $ 100 together. The wine was excellent and we enjoyed some pleasant conversation with the manager that served us. Although the contents of the cheese plate($ 30) was excellent, the presentation left a lot to be desired(it was all kind of lumped together in a pile rather that presented nicely). Not a big deal but a little effort on the prep staff would have gone a long way to improve the image of the restaurant and the food. In any case we really enjoyed the cheese plate as it went well with the wine we ordered(even though it was presented poorly). The most troubling thIng here at Borgata was the entertainment /music. They had a live entertainer playing songs like«The devil went down to Georgia» — Charlie Daniels band — and other such stuff sung quite poorly and off key. It truly juxtaposed the classy place that the Borgata aspires to be. I just don’t get it. With such a great wine list and such a great menu, why would you cheapen this place with a crappy — off tune performer singing crappy old country rock songs and other such ilk. Very odd. With such great ambiance and wine selection I think the opportunity for Borgata to succeed in being someplace special is really high. But the music and presentation of the food really disappointed us tonight. I want to give Borgata another chance because I think this place can be something special but for now it’s three stars and a «wait and watch» approach to see if they can improve. If anyone from Borgata is reading this I would beseech you to work on the food presentation, the service, and above all make sure that the music is in line with your clientele and your image. The entertainment I saw tonight was what I would expect from a low class dive bar not a high class wine bar. And the rest(e, g. Service and presentation) well… You really need to get your act together, it’s just inexcusable laziness and poor execution.
