Good service. Good food. My PO Boy with beer battered shrimp was just perfect. They had even removed the tails for me! The homemade chips nice and crispy and not overly salted if any. I just hate when they salt food when I can do that myself if I wish. Which usually don’t. My friends scallops were large and fresh but she felt not quite hot enough and baked with margarine not butter. Otherwise I would of given them 5 stars. Oh good value for the money!

Hands down the best breakfast my boyfriend and I have ever had! For $ 35 we each had so much food that we will be eating this twice! It’s Monday and we had mimosas, and Aubrey made them nice and strong. As soon as the food fit the table we knew everything was homemade — and boy does it pay off! Everything down to the bagels is made in house and damn is it good! We’ll definitely be back to see Aubrey soon! The only downfall was limited parking, but I’m willing to deal with that to get back to this food!

Let’s get this out of the way first, this place is a dive. The plastic table cloths have holes in them and the place looks dingy and unkept. Only ate there once and the food was good but not spectacular. It was good home cooking. For that it gets 3 stars. The ambience could be improved, the cleanliness aspect could be improved. I’d probably eat there again.

Great little place. Very generous portions and super service. Food was very good as well. The feel was very local, just what we look for when traveling. I had the Chicken Fried Steak for breakfast and loved it.

Make sure you specify that you want your eggs ‘cooked all the way through.’ Even if the server corrects you and says it’s called«over medium» it’s not. They come out runny. Overall, food was great! I recommend the Catfish Reuben. Servers are great as well.

Me and my boyfriend have been here three times now. He really likes it. Its not bad, but nothing ive had really stands out. The first time i had the cod basket, it wasnt bad, a lot of food, my boyfriend had the catfish reuben and absolutely loved it. The second time i had shrimp and grits, the shrimp wasnt deveined so that was nasty and the pancake i had with it tasted like onion. The last time we went we both got the breakfast burrito. I got mine veggie style, it was tasty minus the mushrooms and meat that got in it. The staff is really great though.

Nice little place. The food is excellent and the gals running the place are great. Lots of repeat local customers so you know its good. The gravy on the chicken fried steak was on point. Will definitely come back again for breakfast.

Definitely looks like a local favorite. I tried a po’ boy and the meat was very good, but couldn’t eat it with the roll provided. My husband had the Jack’s Club and it was delicious

Had to try this breakfast/lunch spot in Cocoa Beach. Great, low key place to get coffee and biscuits to get you ready for a day on the beach. If you’re visiting and driving toward the local Denny’s or Waffle House, then keep driving down the main drag and stop here instead. You’re going to get about the same service, but the food will be slightly better and you’ll get the feel for the local’s version of Cocoa Beach. I like my breakfast late, but one of the bonuses of this joint is that they serve everything — even the lunch menu — on the menu while they’re open. So if you’re not a breakfast person, and you’re looking for a good sandwich or some fresh fish, then this is totally your place.

You can’t go wrong with anything here. I’m a huge game of the Huevos Rancheros with red sauce. I’m betting it’s the best red chile sauce this side of the Mississippi.

Very friendly but average food. Breakfast is good if you are looking for a place where locals frequently go, but I have been all over and it is just average. Portion sizes are great and service was fast. If you are here for a week, I would stop by for breakfast. Get the French Toast.

We found this special restaurant on Unilocal.Looked interesting and breakfast foods 1:30 in the afternoon. Nice selection and things looked good walking in. I had the shrimp and grits with 2 eggs and toast or pancake for $ 8.95…delicious bargain. My wife had a huge vegi omelet with home fries and toast or pancake for $ 6.95. We both ordered sour dough toast. Friendly service as well.

Sometimes you find a place that just about has it all, Barrier Jacks is about as close to being that place as you’re going to find in this part of Florida. This cozy little restaurant isn’t anything fancy but it is very comfortable and part of the reason for that is the staff, they are incredibly friendly, very attentive and just a pleasure to be around. The atmosphere they have created is only rivaled by the food which is served up fast, the presentation is fantastic and the quality of the food is amazing there is no doubt everything is fresh. The prices are extremely reasonable and the portions are more than any one person should ever eat. We really couldn’t eat but half of what was served and needed to have it boxed up but we were more than a few hours from home and although it was such a waste there wasn’t anyway it would have kept so keep this in mind when ordering. Jack’s Club — served triple decker with you’re choice of toasted bread I chose sourdough but they also have white or wheat. The toppings are plentiful, fresh sliced turkey breast, fresh cooked bacon, I chose cheddar cheese but you can also have it with Provolone or American, juicy ripe full flavored tomato, crispy lettuce and onion(I omitted the onion). This was one of the best club sandwiches I may have ever ordered. Fried Grouper Po-Boy — fresh crusty roll, piled high with fresh caught beer battered grouper pieces, fresh lettuce, those awesome tomatoes and what we figured was homemade tartar sauce. Honestly this thing was so big it would absolutely feed two people and fresh fish just can’t be best. House Made Chips — thin consistently sliced potatoes, prepared fresh, made to order, not greasy, they were crispy and still warm when they arrived, although I am not a huge fan of any fried potatoes I found myself eating them throughout the meal. We can not wait to return, looking at the other food being served in the dining room I’d say nothing here is average and it would be impossible to leave here anything but completely satisfied.

My wife and I went to this dive for lunch after getting rid, errrr… I mean dropping off the precious daughter at Space Camp. We didn’t seem like we started off on the right foot with Barrier Jacks. As we walked in, none of the waitresses acknowledged us. It seemed like a couple of minutes before they saw us and seated us. I ordered their grouper and oyster po boy, and my wife ordered their catfish sandwich. The grouper and oyster in my sandwich were pretty good. Both the grouper and oysters in my sandwich had a good batter and was fried perfectly. It made for a good sandwich. My wife’s catfish sandwich was grilled and had cheese on it. It was served on white bread. Both sandwiches were good. The fried one was a little better. The sandwiches came with home made potato chips. As we were eating, the chef, Jack, himself came out and greeted us. It was nice that he came out to talk to us after the waitresses neglected us when we first walked in. He was happy to hear that we were from California, and knew the area where he used to have his previous restaurant. I was a little disappointed that the fish that he serves is not fish from the Gulf. But, he told us that the«local» fish from the Gulf are very expensive, and that he would have to raise his price in order to serve it. Not a big problem for me since the sandwiches tasted good and his prices were good. Overall, I liked Barrier Jacks, even though the waitresses were too busy to acknowledge us. It is a good little dive. It is a locals place as it seemed like everyone knew each other. Good food and cheap prices. 3 ½ stars

I’m giving this local gem five stars for friendly service, HUGE portions, wide selection, and homemade deliciousness. I had the oyster poboy — oysters were huge, juicy, and fresh. Best one I’ve had since living in New Orleans! Back again — blueberry pancakes thick and fluffy with real blueberries. Meatloaf sliders with gravy A MUST!!!

So my girlfriend and I went out to breakfast for her birthday. I used Unilocal to find a highly rated restaurant and this was close by. Man this place did not disappoint! We started off with mimosas which were delicious. Then we each ordered breakfast burritos, which were the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had and I live in So-Cal so I know what I’m talking about when it comes burritos. Then we ordered some French toast which was crispy and thick, covered with awesome powdered sugar. Sincerely my compliments to the chef! The staff was super friendly and the price was very reasonable. We will be going back there when we come back into town for sure!
