Still better than most in Clovis but better as Kimmie’s. Beers are more. Staff is worse. Itll take more time to get their groove but they overcharge.

I will not be coming back to this Bar ever again! This place has gone down hill in the past couple of years! I got thrown to the ground by a guy and the bouncers dealt with it horribly! They were not supportive! I messed up my leg! People are rude, Bar tenders were taking shots and were not attentive! To say the least I do not recommend this place! At least tell they can change some things!

Stopped in once randomly with some friends. The bartender was nice, prices are average, the band was good playing classic rock cover songs, their was a lot of people there. It’s funny that it’s listed under dive bar.

Honestly it’s just an OK place, since the ownership change I’ve seen a lot of hmmm aggravating changes… The band’s they get are OK some better then others of course and there is always always a cover charge! I still go in from time to time but definitely not my regular spot…

Kimmies is always a good crowd, live bands, and a great place for dancing. Te crowd is usually hyped and upbeat. Drinks are priced well and the service is good. This is a good pick for any night/​day of the week.

Stopped by the other day, place didn’t seem the same, it was really quiet, maybe it was just an off night cause the last few times I’ve gone the place is packed! They were really taking time to clean though, the bar looked great, plus I noted that they had added more top shelf brands!
Good Chill time on a week night.

The other reviews are spot on about the bouncer/​door people, they were surprisingly friendly.
The main problem with Kimmies is that it is a locals place and unless you go there 3 times a week, you can forget about prompt service. If you go here, like it and start investing your time coming to Kimmies, eventually you will probably get the platinum service that the regulars receive. Personally, I am not willing to invest the time on a place that serves Pabst Blue Ribbon and are not trying to be ironic (of course I would also not go to a place that serves PBR because they were being ironic either).
As for the music, maybe I don’t know what a dj is supposed to do but I always thought their job was to get people up and moving around so they would buy more drinks. It was strange, the guy would play a song and people would get up and then he would play a song that was nothing like the song he was just playing and people would leave. He was the anti-​pavlov.
If you go here, you are either going to love it or hate it.

Love this place, its my favorite. Good people, good drinks, great food and great drink specials!

Good dance floor, nice juke box, good size place, kind of a quaint little cowboy bar with a definite party vibe. Lots of fun, but lost a star because the particular night I was there I had to work it to get the bar tenders’ attention.

First impression of a bar is it’s door personnel. I don’t expect a bouncer to be over the top friendly, but i do expect someone professional, serious and capable.
The door guy at Kimmies was very professional. I handed him a passport (misplaced my DL recently) and I knew that handing a door guy a passport could make or break the night.
A lot of less experienced bars require a CA id because they don’t know how to effectively and accurately assess military id’s and passports, anyway this guy knew what he was doing and knew exactly what to look for and no cover charge.
The place was charming and clean, the band was awesome. I’m not a country music fan but can certainly appreciate talent when I hear it.
The drinks were priced a little high, but the value was spot on. I felt like the volume of liqour was very fair relative to the price.
The bartenders were very friendly and attentive.
The customers were pleasant and diverse ranging from 21 to 55.
I will definately go back again, and recommend it to my friends when drinking in Clovis.

the listing says bar and grill… but I gather it really is just a bar. I didn’t see any indications of food service, so the listing may be wrong or I just tend to prefer booze over food sometimes…
