wonderful karaōke experiences. Friendly people, lively music, terrific singers, an all around blast!

Very disappointed in The Brig and there new way of going about doing business. Me and my friends had been avid goers of this place for quite some time we loved the casual yet fun attitude of the bar along with the karaōke which is what really sold us along with that mullet! But the other night when I went in for my birthday we were not greeted by that lovely brunette that used to work the door but a very rude blonde women whose lack of customer service and over all demeanor was very much of a let down. Especially coming from the previous door greeter who was always so lovely to be around. Now something like that I could get over and not let it effect me, but what really sealed the deal on this«1 Star» rating was that me and my friends were in the bar no more than 15 – 20 min when we started being harassed by the employees door lady, bartenders, perhaps the owner. Now I’m not sure if times our tough for this place or business hadn’t been what it used to be but I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to force someone to buy a drink or get out of your bar which is exactly what happened. Some of my friends were choosing not to drink that night and some just hadn’t decided on a drink yet, like I said we hadn’t been there long when we started to become approached by all the members of «The Brig» and being told to buy a drink or they would be kicked out of the bar. I was so let down from this new attitude I was getting from what used to be a fun filled place. I regretfully have to say I will not be returning until things changed and hopefully they donor I don’t see them lasting to much longer with this new look there trying to pull off. Hope this helps to all those out there.

If I could give no stars that would have been my choice. This rating is based solely on the terrible interaction with the horribly rude blonde lady at the door. This woman refused to let our group in from a wedding even after they group had called way in weeks ahead of time to give advanced notice. Regardless of the situation at hand this woman had no reason to be as disrespectful and down right horrible to ever person in our group who tried to speak to her. Worst experience ever!

Great afternoon bar. Older crowed, nice people, good pours, good prices. Clean and nice staff. Real no corp bs. Cash only, which expresses the attitude and value. What more could you want in a Dbar.

Worst bar I’ve been to in my entire life. Went there(to meet up with people) after a wedding and was kicked out by an ugly older blonde woman with short hair after 5 minutes of being in the bar.(Supposedly due to fire restrictions) it was clear the woman was playing favorites and didn’t understand or appreciate the free business she was getting due to the wedding party. Straight up a disgrace. Been there once before and it was okay. Suffice it to say, I’m Never going back. Learn how to run a business.

Donny is a gem and it wouldn’t be the same without him! It’s a dive bar but a must! There’s usually a special shot(I recall root beer back in the day). Go check it out!

Dive bar doesn’t do this place justice. It feels like it was cleaned within the near future. Their televisions are older and definitely not HD.

hey we’ve been coming here for years its our favorite bar in Fresno… we don’t even live in California anymore but when we come through Fresno we come to see Brian & Donnie the best bartenders next to Lindsey Lou out at The Roadhouse. Good time everytime. Too bad we can’t stand the valley heat anymore.

Always amuses me when people go to a dive in a questionable area and bash the place. Hey Knucklehead, go hang out at some crap chain place where the drinks are overpriced and weak. The Brig is the S##t ! Friendly, clean, safe and great pours. Enough said.

The Brig has been one of my favorite dives for MANY years. It’s dark, dirty, and fun! If you haven’t tried this place, leave any high expectations at home and go to the Brig for a fun night that you’ll never forget!

Friendly. I felt I was in lower Alabama. This is where mullets go to die. Karaōke is limited to your best trashy version of white bred ‘murica rock. Drink a pibber and be done with it. Then, move on.

The Brig is a pleasant bar. The drinks are cheap and the bartenders are friendly and hard-working. It gets really loud and the karaōke song selection is pretty thin, but the crowd is mellow and friendly.

If you’re looking for a great dive bar, this is it! They have a great juke box– iTunes, two pool tables, two dart boards, several TV’s, cold beers and great drinks at a decent price. The locals are always very friendly and always make you feel welcomed! Ages very from 21 – 91. :)

Best«dive» bar in town. Bud light and coors light on tap! A lot of fun regulars to shoot the breeze with. They have pool tables if your up for a game and a juke box to throw money so you can listen to your favorite toons. Happy hour prices 3pm till 7pm.

The bartender was very friendly and the drinks were strong like the reviews say– so strong that a lightweight like me wanted more cranberry in her vodka cranberry, and got it! The mood was nice, some older people were there when we came in and a large group of younger people came in and it was just a big party. It was a great first bar experience and I am glad to have gone.

Great place for friends to meet up and hang out! Actually hosted a meet-up here and it was awesome! We had a blast, great drinks, great entertainment(karaōke, billiards and darts!) The friendliest bartenders sporting the sweetest mullets. THumbs up!

What is it with that walrus? Anyway, pretty much how described from other reviewers, this is one fond neighborhood DIVE bar that actually deserves it’s own movie. Bartenders are hammy as can be, and customers, especially regulars, love it. No credit cards accepted, but there is an ATM right next to the bar & video game. They have karaōke nights, but I’ve never been there for one just yet. I dread to think just yet. Not a big karaōke fan. Music is from TouchTunes(interesting app for this) jukebox which has good quality sound, and the people love playing it with some really rad selections anywhere from Isaac Hayes to Motley Crue to Tom Petty. Drinks are swinging, it looks like a scene from Tom Cruise’s Cocktail if he were to land in a dive bar, they way they serve drinks with pizzaz. Several pool tables in the back. High chairs with seating, or booth chairs. Dart board game available. Bartenders are cool, and friendly, and this is one place people can hang out with cheap drinks that refresh. Regulars are a bunch of fun loving folk, don’t deny, and isn’t that what pubs are for, far & wide. Bathrooms are surprinsingly clean here.

The lights are low, the bartenders have mullets, and the crowd is normally awesome on a Saturday night. It doesn’t have the feigned snobbery of bars on the northside of town, it doesn’t have the cliques associated with the Tower district, and it generally escapes the white-trash drama that can occur in Clovis bars. I’ve never had a bad night at the Brig, and I’ve met some very interesting folks from all walks of life there(attorneys, doctors, musicians, cops… you name it) Pool tables and karaōke are great, but it’s the people that make it what it is, which is a great place to relax and unwind in.
