This is my favorite donut place ever. Every time I come to Fresno I have to try to wake up early and get a box of donuts because they sell out if you’re too late. The best are the cake donuts. Soft on the inside and crispy from frying on the outside. Just perfect. The staff is friendly too, but remember they’re cash only.

The best donut place in Clovis! They owner and his family are so nice and polite and helpful. It’s a little hard to find and they take cash only, nevertheless it’s my favorite donut place in Clovis or Fresno.

The first time I went here(8÷5÷14), I stopped by around 9:15am thinking that there would be some donuts left. Damn, should’ve read Delaney’s review first. I walked in – a small mom and pop type donut shop — and saw the glass shelf nearly empty. There were two trays left: The top shelf had around ten glazed donuts left, one apple fritter, plain donuts, and a few crullers. The second one had around five chocolate bars and powdered donut bites — not even a single maple bar. I ended up getting half a dozen(the apple fritter, three glazed, and two chocolate bars) but the guy at the counter threw in an extra donut — just the plain one — for free. The apple fritter and the glazed donuts were probably the ones I liked the most. The edges of the apple fritter were dark and had a nice coating of glaze; the only problem with it was that I tasted more cinnamon sugar than apple. Still, I enjoyed every bite and wouldn’t mind coming back for another, or two… or even a dozen. No complaints. This morning(8÷9÷14), around 10:30am, I walked in saw that there were maple bars. I ordered three maple bars and three regular glazed donuts, but the guy behind the counter gave me another donut for free; this time, he gave me a free glazed donut. Kudos to you, sir! The ones I bought were nice and fluffy, but I found the coating on the maple bars to be a little too sweet to my liking. I’m not fond of donuts at all, but I do like what I’ve had here so far. I’ll be back to check out the rest of their selection.

— Based on Three Visits — Does Judy’s Donuts on Clovis and Herndon ever actually have any donuts? My first visit to this store was with a business acquaintance and I was kind of surprised to see the limited variety. It wasn’t like it was 2:00 in the afternoon on a Tuesday… it was Friday at around 8:30AM. All they had were a few maple bars and some glazed donuts, and that was it. Oh, and they did have one chocolate bar. Second time was by myself on a Sunday and again, very limited supply of donuts. Got a dozen to go(and because of the limited supply, all the donuts were pretty much the same thing), got home and more than half of them were obviously stale. It’s almost like they were serving donuts from the previous day. Third time and I noticed that they don’t take debit cards anymore. What’s up with that? I never had a problem using my bank card there before, and didn’t notice until I went to pay that they only took cash now. I didn’t have the cash on me so I was forced to sheepishly apologize and go out the door without my donuts. The lady who is always there(and usually pretty nice) took an attitude with me for inconveniencing her and even heard her say something to the effect to the next guy in line behind me when I was walking out the door. I should also note that again, they seemed to only have one pan of donuts — all glazed. I’ve never had any types of problems with the other Judy’s Donuts in town, and am still their fan, but I will not be returning to the store on Clovis Ave. and Herndon.

I love Judy’s Donuts! We go here often and I love the husband and wife who own and run the shop, they’re so sweet. Great variety, but make sure you get there early on the weekends, it gets cleaned out pretty quickly after about 9:30 am. Also, cash only, which is a downside, but since we’re regulars we know and are always prepared.

Very good, fresh donuts. And a good customer service also. I went in looking for a custard donut, but they were all out. So the guy who works there went and filled one of the long skinny ones I don’t know the name of up with custard for me

Good donuts, terrible service. You get the service you request right off the bat, then comes the racist attitude. Yep people… we are still not beyond asian/caucasian relations on the west coast.

First of all I always go to the Judy’s Donuts on Willow Ave because their donuts are great. Anyway I was near this one so stopped. I got a buttermilk donut and asked what I owed? She said $.89. I was SHOCKED. Every other Judy’s is $.75. I will never go there again. RIPOFF!!!

Quality similar to grocery store offerings. They may be nice but I going to look for a shop that takes some pride instead of smiling and saying thank you. Cash only the day I was there.

Good donuts at a great price. Always made fresh every morning. There’s tons to choose from. Service there is quick and friendly.

The donuts are always fresh which is very important, and the price is cheap. No wonder Crispy Crème went out of business. The donuts are also a good size so you get what you pay. And the service is always good. They are always friendly when I go there.

First off, gotta admit that I am definitely biased as I happen to know the family that owns this place. And they’re very, very nice. :) And they work super hard — good people. But that’s not the only reason why you should check this place out. Their donuts are the bomb, and I guarantee you won’t get a yummier donut elsewhere. Highly addictive. The donuts here are light and fluffy, not overly greasy or overly sugary like the competition. Just perfect, paired with a hot cup of coffee or an ice cold milk. Heck, they go great with everything, or alone for that matter. I pretty much grew up on these and there’s a reason why I’m not tired of them. They really are one of a kind. My personal favorites: the devil’s food with peanuts, the blueberry old fashion, and the chocolate bar. But I think you’ll be happy with any one you pick. Check this place out. I’m sure you’ll be back for more. Yay for Judy’s! BTW, there’s more than one location and they’re owned by different folks. So the donuts taste different at each of the places. The Clovis and Herndon location is the best in my opinion.
