515 Brew and Pie

Another great Elite event. I was amazed at how busy this place was for a Wednesday night. Every table in the place was taken. The beer I had was very tasty — the pizza looked great and I heard it tasted great (there was not a vegetarian option.
The tour of the brewery was informative and they are very creative with their beer flavors. I’d like to come back another time and try a few more flavors.

Another very enjoyable Elite event! This one was very well attended and although I’ve been a DSM Elite since 2014, I only recognized a handful of people. So good to see the group growing and more people coming out! It was nice to meet some new people and see our «old» friends.
I’m not a beer drinker but did enjoy a tall cold glass of root beer! Everyone around me seemed to enjoy the flights of beer. The pizza from Pyro’s was both unique and delicious. I really enjoyed the Bacon n’ Bleu one!
The only thing that could have made this event better was a bit more space but it was great!

Thank you Patrick and 515 for an awesome evening. Event was lots of fun, very informative, and definitely delicious! I was pleased that lots of folks got to try 515’s great beers — they do some good work and are always willing to try something new. It was fun talking to the brewers — they are very knowledgeable, passionate about their work, and love to share. The OJ IPA was rocking per usual and it was fun to check out the brewing equipment and try fresh beer straight from the fermenters! The goodies were awesome as always and a special thanks to Patrick for the yummy samosas from Namaste! Can’t wait for the next Unilocal event!

Thanks to Patrick, 515 Brewery, and Pyro’s Pizza for a great event! Everyone was excited to talk about the awesome things they’re doing. The pizzas were delicious and the beers may well be the best in Des Moines.

This was fun! I tell ya, the 515 Brewery owners and the Pyro’s Pizza owner had such great energy! They were so pumped about what they’re doing, and were generous to share their time and wonderful beers and pizza with us. I smelled a lot of beers! And one of the brewery owners caught me right away and asked if I’d like a root beer, or anything else? (Pretty pregnant). It was very thoughtful, and actually I hadn’t even thought of it myself?! Thank you.
I was glad Patrick had a Unilocal event here. It is clear the community is excited about 515, showing their love by filling up the place. We Unilocalers fit right in, and got to know each other better, too.

Had a great time at the event. Got to meet new people. The flight of beer samples were really good. I was able to try the peanut butter beer. It was a dark beer with peanut butter flavor. Tasted like a nutter butter. The pizzas from Pyros was awesome. Crispy crust and great flavors. My favorite is the one with blue cheese. I’m not a blue cheese fan but the flavor was a sweet creamy.
This was my first time at 515 Brew. I would definitely come back to hangout and grab pizza when Pyros is there.

This was my first time here and I will definitely be back! I came here on a Unilocal event and I met so many great people. The owners were there and were so down to earth and I had a fun time interacting with everyone! Thank you Patrick for anther great event!

No less than 5 stars! Patrick pulled some moves here. Good/​Great beer and pizza. Samosas for some, even. OMG really! I got to take a peek at the first and only brick oven on a food truck! Pyros!(great name, BTW) has a meticulous truck and a superb team that crafted pies (pizzas) for this event, I wish them a great deal of success due the the high quality of their items.
I drove a few hours from Omaha just to kick it with UnilocalDSM. I was not saddened by any of it. I spilled my beer early on and it was replaced no questions asked. The Hopatitis C was a top 5 beer that I have had recently. I am glad I got to try it as I cannot get it here. The OJ IPA was great as well. the Undead Red, which has beets in it was outstanding.
I didn’t make such a fool of myself that I should be banned so I look forward to more events just a short drive away. It should be noted that you cannot ‘fist bump’ a beer.
New faces and new friends. A common singularity ( Unilocal) and we are on the same page.
Overall, a large turnout and I know everyone loved it. Thank you UnilocalDSM and my fellow friends. Totally worth it. See you all soon

Great experience for my first Unilocal Elite event. I’ve been to 515 before, but it was great to get to sample several of their beers in the beer flight. My fave was the Belgium Paradise. I appreciated the owners giving us a tour and letting us try the OJ IPA right out of the fermenter (at least I think that’s what stage it was in).
Pyro Pizza was in the house. I tried the spinach and chicken over alfredo and another with pepperoni, sausage and bacon. Both were excellent. It was great to hear their story!
Good to meet other Unilocalers, very friendly crowd. Thanks for a great event Patrick!

Had such a great time at this event! Thank you Patrick for another awesome Unilocal event! I was able to try two new establishments that I have yet to try and loved both of them!
Thank you 515 Brewing for letting us sample your beers. My fave was the peanut butter stout and the Belgian Paradise was a close second. Also thank you for the tour. Can’t wait for the expansion! Would love to purchase your stuff at the markets!
Thank you to Brad at Pyro’s pizza for the awesome pizza! I don’t remember the names but they were all tasty. I don’t like bleu cheese and the bleu cheese one was even good.
All in all, great night out. Thank you for letting us sample from 515 and Pyro’s. Thank you again, Patrick! Keep doing what you’re doing! Can’t wait for the next event!

Pyro Pizza was awesome. Loved the blue cheese pizza with caramelized onions. One of my favorites!
515 provided a flight of beers for everyone to try. :) the place is a nice chill spot to hangout with friends and drink brews. Would def come back soon.
