0 stars! This food was GARBAGE!!! Burt sauce, uncooked chicken May Fong is the owner and the manager is an ass hole. I demanded my money back and was asked to bring it back. Could not do that since the food was already down the disposal. The funny thing is… he said the delivery service always brings back food for refunds… REDFLAG there — I will let everyone I know NOT to spend their hard earned money at a place like that!

They are inconsistent sometimes great food then sometimes bland tasteless crap on a plate. Sometimes you get great service and sometimes you get a menopausal warthog serving you.

Very nice people but crap food. The sesame chicken was so bad that i only at four or five bites then tossed it.

Not a bad value for the money, but the dishes I’ve tried are just plainly OK. I’ve had Hunan chicken, Schezuan chicken, fried rice, wonton soup, and egg rolls. The sauces I think have too much corn starch and a bit sweet. The wonton soup has a tasty broth but they add canned mushrooms and I’m just not a fan of canned mushrooms. Having said that, the lunch portions are actually huge enough for 2 people, so it’s a decent value. I would suggest other places but this one is not too bad.

Great food and fast service. I’ve been dining here for years. If you get carry out they give you so much food it almost doesn’t seem fair. The Yang-Chow Fried rice is divine. I absolutely love the egg rolls and the chicken lomein.

Food is good, but the staff is pretty rude to paying customers. Last time I was there the lady ringing me up dumped my change on the counter while had my hand held out to receive the money. That’s enough to make me not go there anymore.

I usually love this place and never have problems with the food. Past couple times have been bad, more breaking then chicken and it being really burnt. Not sure what’s going on with the quality but not a fan. I’m going to start going else where.

Food is very good, but sometimes a little too salty. Staff is very unfriendly and can be rather rude at times. Will use them in the future for takeout Only.

I’ve found that Chinese restaurants are very subjective and people either love it or hate it, and you can tell by reading the other reviews. Everyone has a strict preference when it comes to Chinese food, so it’s hard to recommend a particular place. I’ve found China Moon to be my favorite though. I’ve been here several times and each time it’s only been mildly busy, which is find by me as I’ve never had to wait. The prices are very decent, and I love the food. The almond chicken is second to none, at least in the metro Detroit area. I also don’t enjoy wonton soup… Unless it’s from here. The rolls and rice and good as well. The atmosphere is quiet and pleasant and there’s not much to complain about. The only thing holding me back from giving a 5 star review is the service. I feel that each time I come here, I’m being rushed by my waitress and they never seem to stop by the table unless they notice drinks are empty. There was also one occasion where my waitress didn’t say a word to me or the others at my table after we placed our order. Very awkward and rude, but we did complain to the manager afterwards. All in all, if you’re looking for some cheap, good Chinese food, give this place a shot!

My husband and I live on the west side but we came to this side of town to babysit… they recomended this place over pizza so we called and had an order delivered, it was absolutetly the worst chinese food I have ever tasted! Chow Mein… no flavor, and watery! Egg rolls tough to cut through, won ton soup like water with 1 bullion cube in it… and the meat in the wonton had a suspicious flavor! I could go on about the rest of it but I’m done, can’t account for some peoples tastebuds! My self, thought it was awful… sorry.

I typically go to china star but they were closed on Monday so I decided to try this place. I always get orange chicken and I’m not sure what they gave me. It was awful, the chicken was in huge pieces that was hard and rubbery. I threw it all away! Plus china star gives free fortune cookies and they didn’t give me any :(

I have been going to the China Moon for 20 years and have never had a bad meal. Service has always been great and I can never finish all the food they give you. I will continue to go there and enjoy the experience.

The best Chinese restaurant I’ve been to! The best egg drop soup and fried rice! I’ve been coming here since they opened, almost 20 years ago and they’re still my favorite! Every time I come in they are so friendly and helpful, you can tell they’re business is important to them!

HORIBLE! Manager on duty could be owner and would say is a COMPLETE idiot. They state on their door/website they close at 10pm. We arrived at 9:05 to be told«carry out only»! Granted yes it was near closing time but the rude, rude, rude greeting was uncalled for. They took our order but we could tell they were displaced and angered. While waiting before the advertised close time, they turned down two other parties of two stating«carryout only». Those couples left! While waiting for carryout the waitress literally ran over my foot with a vacuum! I attempted to speak with the manager but he stated he didn’t see it so he didn’t care. When explaining my disappointment he then furthermore said and I quote«it’s a free country go somewhere else.» He then raved about how they were in business for 19 years and we should leave. In the food service industry for 21 years focusing on service accompanied by my husband who is an attorney, I have to say this takes the cake. Not only were they COMPLETELY rude but the food was the quality of a standard food court in a mall! It was an establishment on our way home and all should steer VERY clear! The place was run down and tacky. The staff was negative 100!

I enjoy China moon when I eat there. I went with my father who had the London broil. He loved it! A few weeks later I picked the same thing up in a to go order and it wasn’t cooked the same way and was very dry. Same thing with my Singapore noodles. It’s hut or miss but usually not terrible. The last time I had the wonton soup though… I could see the oil floating.

My family has given this place more tries than we should have. I will never eat their food again, those small tiny strip mall places are better at chinese food than this place. Stay away.

I have been burned by China Moon more than once. Their eggrolls have a weird taste to them… like too much ginger. I had the almond boneless chicken and it was so bad. It came in a brown gravy, not a chicken gravy. It had no veggies in it and one single sliver of almond. The chicken itself was so over cooked I could barely chew through it. The breading was soggy too. I have to say, I don’t understand the awards and high praise from others. I will try Gim Ling next time… hoping it is better.

The best Chinese in town. Egg rolls are always hot and fresh, and make sure you ask for extra hot mustard, so delish! on the another note. sadly they changed the pepper to regular instead of the white pepper and if you order anything with sauce make sure you ALWAYS ask for the sauce on the side bc they put so much on it.
