This will be a bit lengthy, but I feel it’s all invaluable for those who would consider using this company. After obtaining multiple estimates for a move, I chose this company. Despite my asking them to bring mats or blankets to lay down — since it was pouring rain out — they did not, forcing me to use my own rugs and mats(which have since had to be trashed.) They went about their work, got the truck loaded, and got underway. Only, there was a 2.5 hour window of transition between locations where no one communicated with me. I made phone calls, sent emails, kept getting told they were on the way(the trip only takes 50 – 60 minutes.) The service they quoted me — 9 hours and $ 1,600 — wound up taking 5.5 hours longer, and cost an additional $ 1,400. The foreman admitted after the move that one of his co-workers was slacking off the entire time. I also had to take a phone call with their night operator — since the move finished at 11pm — who then insulted me over the phone. After the move, we began to discover the real trouble. I discovered in the morning that the crew threw their garbage — from the dinner I purchased for them — on my driveway. We found dents and gashes in walls and door frames, damaged items, some destroyed. In damages alone they caused over $ 1,000. I have made numerous phone calls and emails to the company to attempt to resolve all this. They have responded to me with procrastination, delays, obfuscation, and denial, often citing«their policy» as a way to excuse their behavior or the cascade of issues and significant damage. When I originally published a Unilocal review, they told me that the only way they would reconcile with me was if I gave them a 5-star review. Take note of that. Good reviews on here, lack of bad ones… yup, the only way to get money back is to sign a non-disclosure form which says you won’t review their company. Guess why I’m posting? I also filed a complaint with the BBB. The company’s response to that: «this is not our customer.» As a way of denying what happened. At the end of the day, this company cost me over $ 2,800MORE. I’ve spent hours and days in frustration, trying to get resolution, and continuing to feel bullied by this company and their tactics. My integrity, and my right to speak my opinion, is worth far more than the $ 600 they offered me to make this go away. So buyer beware. The quote may look like it fits your budget. But what it cost me was over 3 times the amount. And I’m still paying for it.

What a terrible, unprofessional organization. I called to verify my move time and last minute, they said they never booked my reservation. Shame on this company! I cannot wait to spend my money else where, with a company who cares about their customers. The manager is unsuitable for her job, as she stated there was nothing she could do for me. I can only hope that one day these people are stranded without assistance, as they have done to my family and me. I will be sure to spread the word about how atrocious this company is.

Do NOTUSENORTRUSTONEWORDORPERSON… They were thieves when i moved, unprofessional from first time reached out on fb to me, promising all bs and then phone calls, the horrific move of broken and STOLEN furniture, gifts, all belongings, i have the 3 movers names. i have pics when i get to ipad i will add here of how they broke tons, TOOK A BED, TV entertainment Unit, My grandmas China broken, boxes not given but dumped and visa versa… never brought up my couch thru elevator, on surveillance! I have pics of how they left my old house like a bomb… the added hours and fees of lies! I can go on and on. I HADANORIGINALPOST, THATTHEY called and said i will give you back(btw, you never talk to same person till recently and he is full of it too) they said they would give me back up to 800.00 i wanted a grand back, honestly i want it all back … anyway they stayed on phone with me to delete my first post which i took pic of that too, lol. They mailed out 200.00 And NOTTHEFULLPROMISEDAMOUNT. They stole! They lied, They are shuffling staff and threats nonstop. All i know is i will post pics and go thru with Better Business Bureau because they never mailed out the promised refund, of the rest of the amount… RUNTOANOTHERCOMPANY, AND read Carlas post, i see they bribed to get rid of reviews; but with me, they broke, stole, and ripped me off blind… Horrible, just Horrible service. What a disgrace, not sure how they live in their skin… I WAS robbed blind. «the check is in the mail» i have them taped, that is how sick they all are and it got. Played me like a fool. And the Foreman stood over me late at night and MADEME fill out a review on them the night of the move looking over me all 3 of the movers, i should have said, i will keep this and mail it back but i was feeling forced and it was a day from hell, They knew what i needed, and they DIDNOTFOLLOWTHRU, and the fake Lisa who promised to beat the competition and the Foreman Joey did not do their part of their job. Talk about more discomfort? my CHECKISINTHEMAIL, MOVINGOFAMERICA??? REALLY? LETSSEEIT, I WILLSAYYOUAREPEOPLEOFYOURWORD, THEWHOLEBALANCEREFUNDOWED!

this company sucks!!! they were late and where i was moving to had a move in schedule so they had to take my stuff to their warehouse overnight??! then the next day they showed up late again and charged me money!!! they are the worse company do not use them ever!!!

I was referred to Moving of America by a family member who used this company to move out of their home. I called up and spoke to a woman named Dolores who was absolutely fantastic. She assisted me in the estimate, pricing and explained the process to me thoroughly. After our conversation I scheduled our move. When the big day came we sat back and watched as the movers wrapped and boxed our items. Knowing how stressful moving can be we were able to finally feel secure as we spoke to the Forman Lawrence who made us very comfortable. After few days we receive a call from the driver who delivers our items and set up our furniture in place. All and all the move was great, no problems, they moved all our belongings and really made us happy. If I move again I will certainly be using this company again. I am honestly happy with the service and recommend them to our family and friends.

READTHISBEFORECALLING Recently used this moving company to relocate from woodland park to Belleville nj. I could not be more clear for this who are looking for a moving company when I say DONOTUSETHISCOMPANY. Here is why Contacted this company the night before we moved who gave us a verbal quote of 498 as a discounted rate to perform their minimum requirement moving time of 4 hours(1 hour for travel). Granted we did contact them last minute and they advised that they could begin the move at 4 pm on 6⁄30. So we prepare everything for the move and begin to receive calls from the owner Ethan/Davjd B(it’ll be explained why I put his name like this) stating they were running late due to ny traffic. Mind you this is 20 min before they’re supposed to be at the move. No big deal at the time as it was near rush hour and traffic is something you just can’t get around. So 430 rolls by and still no movers. We call back and get the owner who says we will be there in another 15 – 20 min. Now we are pushing 5 pm on a 4 pm quoted time. Still we let it go because the company took the job last minute. We continue to bring a majority of the items down from the second floor so that we could atleast minimize the time for the mover to make multiple small trips. So here comes 5 pm and still no movers. We call back and get fed the same line of ny traffic and another 15 – 20 min away. At this point we are getting frustrated because the move should have started. Now we have to get grandma to bring our son to her house as it was apparent the move wasn’t going to happen until later. So baby’s gone by now and we are continuing to load up the driveway with items. To make this story short they didn’t show up until 7:15. Over 3 hours later. So I tell Ethan it’s unacceptable to be this late and we should receive some kind of discount or compensation. You would think that being super late would warrant something. Nope. In fact. The price goes up. And Ethan has the audacity to say«we could have just not shown up. We coulda canceled and walked away». I already knew that this guy was going to be a problem. So now we have the price moving up from 552 for the move to 600 with some non sense surcharge that this Ethan probably made up. So as they are packing the trucks(mind you the movers that he has with him are his work horses while he stands around and makes comments like, and I quote«I hate moving white trash and cheap people». I bet he thought i didn’t hear that. So his workhorses complete the truck pack up and follow me to the new Apt. We get there and it’s damn near 9 pm. So now in order to save time I start helping with the move and assisted his co workers as it was apparent they began at 7 am and have been slaving all day for this Ethan. So the move is complete and he pulls the tax for vehicle surcharge non sense and ups the price to the 600+ dollars. So I noticed that his trucks have a sign on the called Universal Express. So I look that company up, and you should too. It’s the same company. So I called and the number is disconnected. But I was able to locate the owners information. The same david bloom. So upon further investigation I found that David bloom and Ethan are the same person. So the next day I place all of the items back and discover I’m missing drawers and items. So I decide to call the company and complain about the experience. They claim that they will look for the items and offer a discount due to their tardiness and inconvenience caused. So far nothing has been done. Another red flag is this Ethan/David doesn’t accept anything but cash or certified checks. So to conclude this could be the worst moving company I have ever encountered. He’s cheap, scammy, and has an alter ego of David bloom. Please do yourself the fair and keep looking for a more reputable company. Oh and if you look at the first review you might notice that guy when he shows up to move as that was one of Ethan’s workhorse(he’s a nice guy that Rafael). I bet the rest of these reviews aren’t even anyone that has used him for moving. DONOTUSETHISCOMPANY!!!

Great customer service and excellent movers. I was referred to this company by a family member who used them to move out of their home. I called and spoke with Dolores who was absolutely fantastic. She assisted me in estimating, the pricing, and explained me the process thoroughly. I felt confidence and decided to scheduled the move. My wife is pregnant and I’m busy working so it was very important for us to know that the workers would pack our boxes and belongings and reassemble our belongings. When the big day came we sat back and watched as the movers wrapped and boxed our stuff. These guys were prompt and friendly, knowing exactly what to do and how to carry our furniture. We felt very secured looking at these guys leaded by Marcos who made us very comfortable. All and all the move was great, all done very professional and quick and made us very happy. When moving again we will certainly use this company. Thanks for great move.
