Stopped in for breakfast, great cheap diner breakfast! It was basically empty when we were there, not sure why but I’d suggest checking this place out for a quick bite to eat.

I ordered the N.Y. strip steak Came with 2 veggies for $ 13.99 Looking at the price I was expecting a dinky steak… Nope it was a pretty good size and it was delicious … Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive … I couldn’t finish my meal so I boxed it up for the next day… I think the steak was even better the second time round

(90⁄100) Stopped in today to kill time while the kids were being groomed. Never again. 9:30AM& there was only one table being occupied with two patrons when I came in. The waitress asked me what I wanted to drink before my ass even hit the dated seat. I just asked to start off with water with lemon. She came back in .02 seconds and asked if I was ready. Oh my gosh. No I’m obviously not ready. Why are you rushing me? You’re acting like this is prime time & you’re busy with a restaurant full of people. It’s a large menu and she came back twice before I decided what I wanted. Then she says«don’t worry, take your time! Just call me when you’re ready!» Uhhh, okay. I guess you’re over rushing me, eh? I picked the hungry man which includes 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 pieces of bacon + 2 pieces of sausage. I asked for scrambled with cheese. For an up charge of $.69, I thought I’d at least get a whole piece of cheese. I swear they put half a piece — if that. There was none to be found. The bacon was crispy and so was the sausage. Both were a little burned but that’s okay. The pancakes tasted like nothing. It was a waste of calories to eat them. How do you mess up pancakes? I didn’t even get to leave before I got the bubble guts. The restroom was dirty and the sink was seconds away from falling off. $ 15 and some change(with the tip) was wasted on a shitty(ha!) experience. Would I recommend? No. Would I return? No.

I like diners, and I eat at them often. This is a wonderful diner. Aside from the paint job inside, I enjoyed my entire dining experience. There was no wait, the waitress was very nice, and my food was delicious. The food was better than most diners. The price was reasonable. I could see the Philadelphia skyline out the window. I like this place. I plan to eat here regularly. I hope they are successful and stick around.

Haven’t been here lately. Can’t remember why. I had a turkey wrap. Excellent!!! Real trukey, not lunchmeat. Hubby had blueberry muffin french toast. He said it was great. Was actually a blueberry muffin cut in half, dipped in eggs and turned into french toast. Awesome. We will be back soon.

This location hasn’t had great luck. The world’s worst IHOP was here. The Flap Jacks that opened here was atrocious. But El Greco might be getting it right. From the chicken fingers my son had, to the chicken salad my wife had, to the French Toast I had for lunch, it was all on point. And it was inexpensive compared to what you get up the street. That’s a great combo. I’m still not crazy about the location or the layout of the place(still too cramped all around), but it will satisfy you.

This is my favorite place. I take friends + family here + have never been disappointed. Everyone I bring enjoys it. The husband + wife owners are warm and welcoming. I brought a Native friend from SD there for dinner — he enjoyed it so much we went back the following morning. Have had nice conversations with both owners. I have tried breakfast, lunch + dinner. Very reasonably priced and the service is good. I highly recommend El Greco.

Haven’t had a bad meal yet, my mother enjoys the breakfast foods, her favorite Peanut Butter & Banana French Toast. Fresh made Ice Tea, Coffee good enough to drink black. Chef Salad was made with real fresh meats and not lunch meat. Reasonably priced! Senior Pricing is a steal!

We have eaten here twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner, and the food was excellent both times. It is presented well, with generous portions, and very flavorful. Definitely a cut above typical diner food and more like something you would expect from a nice family restaurant. Service has been friendly on both occasions. There was a hitch during our first visit for dinner as it seemed they did not have any servers working other than the owner’s wife, who is not really a waitress. Service started off fine but went downhill when several more tables were seated. She clearly could not handle them all. Our drinks were never refilled and we sat with empty plates on the table for 20 minutes and never received our check. Finally we got up and walked to the register to let her know we wanted to pay so we could leave, and she seemed completely surprised. Because the food was quite good and we know it can be hard to anticipate business flow when you are starting out, so we gave El Greco another chance, this time for breakfast. This time there were plenty of servers. I had the Greek omelette which was packed with spinach, tomato, and feta and perfectly formed. It came with a generous portion of nicely browned hash browns(or grits if you wanted them). My companion had the Hungry Man breakfast which came with eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and pancakes. Everything was cooked just right and tasted delicious. Service was perfect! The server checked back with us often, food came quickly, and the check was delivered just as we were finishing up, though she cheerfully told us not to rush. Prices are very reasonable as well. We’ll be back!

The food and service was great. The steak was excellent as was the fried shrimp. I had the pancakes and they were very good as well. I would recommend this restaurant over the springfield diner. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed. The owners are very nice and made sure we were enjoying our meals.

I tried El Greco for dinner for the first time. It was EXCELLENT! I ordered the steak(medium-rare) and flounder topped with crab meat. The steak was cooked to perfection. The flounder was stuffed with REAL crab meat(not imitation) and everything including the green beans was seasoned just right. I am always a little hesitant to try seafood at a diner-type of establishment because you typically get frozen fish and imitation crab but I was pleasantly surprised to see this was not the case at El Greco. The dinner I had could have been served in a fine seafood restaurant. For the quality of food that is served here, the price was just right. They also have many dinner specials that I’m looking forward to trying in the future. Since we went at an off hour, the place was not busy and the owner/chef came out to talk to us and ask how we liked everything. His wife was our server and she was as pleasant and attentive as could be, coming around with drink refills as soon as she noticed our glasses empty. They both obviously take pride in their work and are genuinely interested in providing their customers with a great dining experience. The owner/chef explained that he previously worked in a restaurant in Italy which might explain the large variety of Italian dishes on the menu. I’ll definitely be going back and will be recommending this place to friends and family.

My husband wanted to go to breakfast this morning so I thought it’s been so long since I wrote a review, let’s try out someplace we haven’t been! Mark had the Country Waffle Breakfast which was served with a huge Belgian waffle and 2eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage I had the omelette of the day which was a taco omelette(I love anything served with salsa and sour cream, I mean who doesn’t) everything was very good including the coffee! My husband wants to mention the large orange juice was very large lol the home-fries were fresh and buttery and even the English muffin was better than average. My only complaint was that they used American cheese on my omelette. Jenn was our server and she was a great diner waitress(and if you know me that is a huge compliment) she was quick with the refills, friendly and paid extra attention to the old men who are a fixture in every diner. We’ll definitely be back! — eating breakfast at El Greco.

Sometimes it’s the little things that can make a place great. I just ordered a cheesesteak with fries togo. The food was delicious I love crunchy fries. The roll was perfectly fluffy and the cheese al meat was great quality. Buy as I said the little things they actually put in wrapped plasticware, ketchup, and extra napkins. And that what makes this place five stars. The food is great and it seems they care about customers.
