The shrimp appetizer was amazing, but the skirt steak was SO greasy. It also lacked any flavor. I have had a lot of Cuban food and know what this should taste like. I also never understand why restaurants serve frozen pads of butter. I tasted a few other steaks that were way too salty. The chef seems like a great guy, but with his schooling, I would had thought the food should had been better. Appetizers weren’t great and the sides were mediocre at best.

The place is great, the food is awesome and we highly recommend it! We have lived in Fort Lee for several years, owned a seafood/steak restaurant in the past and we like steak; always went to the local steakhouses for dinner but some changed hands and went downhill and some are just not inviting. We were looking for a «feel good» place and found 354 yesterday. It was the first time we ate there and certainly not the last. I had the churasco Cuban style, my wife the NY strip and my son the Rib-eye. All perfectly cooked. The sides were excellent also. Service was great and very attentive and the bar is fully stacked. Free valet, which is a great touch, unlike most other area steakhouses. They seriously blow away most other competitors in the area. We left extremely satisfied, The first thing I did is let my family know about it and already planning to return with the rest of our family, it’s that good! Aaand… my wife’s leftover NY strip just made a great steak and egg omelette this morning!

It’s a shame as 354 has great potential, but the frustration outweighs any reason for coming here. At 6:30pm on a Saturday, they’ve run out of the Prime Rib which they advertise as being available only on weekends. Each time I come here early, each time the same thing. Either I come for dinner at 4pm or I go somewhere else…

I am here visiting family and my mom suggested this place. Absolutely outstanding! Porter house for 2 was amazing and came with sides! We had the Bang Shrimp as an appetizer and the kids had platanos and burgers which they loved as well. I tasted my son’s burger and it was obvious that it was hand made and so juicy. I own a small restaurant in Santa Ana California and I know quality when I taste it. This place is definitely a go to spot if your in the area.

We went there for the first time. We ordered skirt steak. It was dried and the sauce was not that good. They have regular customers and it is a nice local restaurant but this is not a place to visit if you live in the neighborhood.

I’ve gone here for lunch many times and it’s always a good experience. The food tastes very fresh and homemade, and the prices are amazingly affordable, especially for the quality. Lunch specials begin with a nice baby-lettuce salad or tasty soup, then go on to an enormous main course. Today my husband had pasta with broccoli rabe and sausage, and I had the masitas with black beans and rice. All fantastic. The servers are also very cheerful and helpful. Terrific place!

Ordered crab cakes as an app which was delicious but sadly that was the highlight of the meal. Churrasco was ordered medium rare and we got it medium. It is on a sizzling hot plate but we cut it almost instantly and saw it was practically well done. We could understand if we waited a few minutes but that wasn’t the case. Chicken and sausage paella was HUGE but the mussels tasted really old, and so did the clams. The chicken was not bad but still a bit dry. Rice was plain and honestly a little over salted. Sausage was ok but nothing to be excited about. We also got a side order of plantains which were pretty good. I don’t even like sweet plantains so I was surprised. All in all it could have been better. But I don’t regret trying it out. Cheers.

Food was amazing very delicious the meat was so tender and they give huge portions my husband licked the plate clean after order the mushroom sirloin which came out on a sizzling iron plate. The staff were wonderful and spent so much time laughing with them because the service is one of a kind. The drinks are on point and whatever you can dream they will make for you wether it’s on the menu or not!

I’m not an avid consumer of steak but their seafood paella is to die for. I order it almost every time and it never ceased to amaze me. The seafood is fresh and the rice is full of flavor. You’d never had to flavor with salt or pepper. It’s pricey and I would suggest sharing the paella for one because it is huge. I was with 2 other girls and we had to doggie bag the dish.

Have been here many times but this is the first review I have posted. The food is good, service is so so. Prices are reasonable, that’s the reason I return. I was there Friday night not overly crowded. My food came out at room temperature, stripe steak not hot, mashed potatoes not hot, onion rings not hot! The steak when it’s served right is very good but I don’t like taking chances when your expecting a hot juicy steak. It’s disappointing when you don’t so I would say the place is hit or miss. It’s local and one of the reasons I go here. I will give it one more try!

Delicious foods n reasonable price. Only complaint is that the service is slow, more specifically the food comes out slow, so don’t recommend if u r rushing for time.

Was so excited to find this little gem only two blocks from our house. We have eaten here several times, and placed orders for pickup as well. Each and every time the food is delicious. Crab cocktail appetizer is on point and the skirt steak and plantains are amazing. Those are our favorite but we have tried many other menu items as well and they never disappoint. The red sangria is to die for!

My go to resturant in the area! I’ve tried so many different dishes on the menu. The salads come in humongous portions! The steaks are flavorful and there’s always a charasmatic bartender there. I like the yuca and maduros as well! The drinks are strong and service is good. My only con would be the wait time for food. Besides that, I love it here!

I love the idea of having a steakhouse menu and a Cuban menu. There is something for everyone on the menu at every price point. I think the steaks are very good, especially for their price. This isn’t a steakhouse to be compared to Peter Lugers or Old Homestead; but it’s a very good local steakhouse with good cuts of meat, fresh seafood and a menu full of flavor. I heard the owner of this restaurant was the previous head chef at JDs in Fort Lee. Two things I loved at JD’s were the penne a la vodka and the ribs. Those two dishes shine at 354 as well. The ribs are some of the best ribs in north Jersey. The service is very friendly, every server has always had a good personality.

I can honestly say that the steak I had here last night was the best I ever had anywhere and that includes all the high priced places in the county! Not only was my steak excellent, it was huge and priced beyond reasonable and the Bang shrimp is so good you will crave it like a crack addict. You can also eat at the bar if ya want which is very comfortable. The dining room and bar lighting is very good, nothing in your face bright and the staff is very friendly and never far away. 5 stars for the food, décor, lighting and the friendly attentive staff!

I should start by saying I don’t eat meat, but 354 Steakhouse is a great addition to the neighborhood. I don’t go often(since I don’t eat meat), but my friends who do eat meat love their steak. I first visited for Sunday Brunch shortly after they opened. The brunch was reasonably priced, lots of things a vegetarian could eat, and best of all the owners spent some time at our table letting us know their history at JD’s Steak Pit. This may be the first restaurant that they own, but they are veterans in the Steakhouse world. I’ve gone with several friends who do eat meat, and one of them has gone back multiple times. He’s picky about steak, so that’s a high compliment. If you don’t eat meat like me, there are still lots of good choices, which is sort of atypical of steak houses. Usually I can’t find anything except to order a couple sides or a salad. Of course they do have fish if you are a pescatarian, but they also have a hot vegetarian plate and lots of salads you can modify to be vegetarian. In short, great for steak lovers and their veggie loving friends alike.

We ordered lunch from here and got the cheese steak and Cuban sandwiches with sides of onion rings and meat empanadas. First of all … portions are very generous. Cuban sandwich was very tasty with tender pork, slices of ham, pickles and cheese pressed onto a crisp roll. Got it with tostones, which were thin and crunchy. The steak sandwich was also quite good and 354 accommodated by allowing switch to cheddar(from American) and adding sauteed onions and mushrooms. The onion rings were good but the empanadas were delicious. The pastry was fried but light and the filling was savory. Plus I got 5 very decent sized empanadas in the order. The only thing not eaten were the fries, which were not crispy enough for my taste. This was for take out from the online lunch menu. Pricing was not updated on the site, maybe off by a buck or two on a couple items, but not a big deal. In summary, a very good value for a very good meal.
