My wife and I stopped by for a few hours last Sunday and we shared a few flights of wine(getting to taste every one offered-17 in total). Very good wine, nice staff and a wonderful view of the rolling landscape and hills. We will be back. Not much food is offered(meat and cheese plate), but they don’t mind at all if you bring a picnic with you, which we will certainly do next time

I’d say 4+ out of 5 for some drinkable wines, but most importantly — personable staff, which makes a difference. I picked up a bottle of Vidal Blanc(drinkable summer white) and Olé Blue(what I consider a dessert wine). The vibe here is «comfortable». The regular tasting room was closed for a wedding, but the staff were still able to make customers feel welcome in the warehouse space. Recommend a visit. Most everywhere else will feel much more pretentious.

Jan was awesome! Upon arrival to this majestic beauty, we were acknowledged immediately! Jan was knowledgeable and gracious!!! I have been to many wineries throughout the U.S. And this bad boy right here, This is at the top of my list. If you want a world class view with a glass of grape deliciousness nectar potion, visit cottage winery in Cleveland TN. Ask for Jan, you will be glad you did!

Hands down my favorite winery in North Georgia. I love the family that owns and operates the tasting room. They always smile and greet me like family as well. You can’t beat their view! It’s stunning year round. On Saturday nights during the summer they even host dinner and live music till 9pm. Go and meet them for a tasting. You won’t be disappointed!

Great atmosphere, great views, great people. The wine was as good as anyone else’s in Georgia. They have a wide variety with a few that stand out. I don’t think Robert Mondavi is worried but what a great experience. We’ve been there a few times. Here’s always someone playing music, there cornhole outside and a lot of space to walk about and enjoy yourself without feeling like you are in a cattle call.

Great views from this place! Friendly people and fun games too! We enjoyed ourselves and took some great pictures and will have fond memories. There was also a private party happening and they looked like they were having lots of fun too. Thanks! We’ll be back!

Of our Georgia wine tour trip, this one was our favorite. Very friendly family-owned. The wines are good, especially if you like sweet wines. Prices are also very good. You can spend between $ 50 or $ 17 for a good bottle. Also, great selection of Georgia muscadine wine. Grab a glass and enjoy the view or play some cornhole

Excellent selection, friendly people and a great setting. Usually some good live music going on, in a very relaxed atmosphere. Also has a small selection of craft beers for the spouse who might not be a real wine person… There are also wine slushy frozen drinks that are great when it’s hot out!

Fantastic family-owned winery with an amazing view, and delicious wine. This vineyard is relatively new, 4-ish years, but they’re growing fast. They have 29 acres of land and they’re slowly filling it with grape vines. The scenery is amazing, and they’re proud of it! The tasting room overlooks the North Georgia mountains and it’s built with large window panes and sliding glass doors so that people inside don’t lose the view outside on a chilly day. They also have speakers outside, so that on nice days no one misses out on the live music that’s set up indoors. The owners Jim and Sandra poured for us and they were very friendly. 5 tastings for $ 7 or 8 for $ 10. My boyfriend absolutely loves their reds and if I’d let him he would have bought several cases to let them age. Unfortunately, I prefer sweet wines and that’s not what Cottage Vineyard specializes in. However, they have partnered with Currahee Vineyards to bring in a couple of muscadines, some strawberry wine(which tastes like jam) and some blackberry wine, so all those can be added to your tasting if you like sweet wines, but none of the Cottage Vineyard wines are sweet. The white muscadine was amazing! If you want to bring a glass home, mention you’d like to buy one… don’t freggin’ steal them! The glasses themselves don’t come with the tasting($ 6.50/ea) and during the busy seasons they run out quickly and wish to keep some on-site for their customers.

The tour guide(owner’s son) was super knowledgeable and friendly. He was engaging and gave us tips on how to fully enjoy the wine tasting experience. We tasted about half a dozen different types of wine, mostly red’s though. Some were very potent with the alcohol percentage sitting at the 20’s level. The tour lasted about an hour(?) since this vineyard is about 2 to 3 years old, and it is mostly indoors so no worries about sunscreen. It will get chilly at the warehouse where the wine is stored so bring a light jacket, and yes, even in the dead of summer. They keep the storage units super cold so the wine doesn’t spoil. Your GPS might misguided you; just aim for the signage atop the hill when you are near. Drive up the big hill and you will see parking spaces and the house. Sadly you do not get to get to keep the wine glass you use to taste the wine(the tour is about $ 17 ~ I am unsure if the group used a Groupon code since it was the bf’s group that I tagged along with), but you can purchase it separately. There was also live music this particular Sunday afternoon.

All I can say is I love Cottage. This was our last stop of our 5 vineyard/winery stop for my husbands birthday. The Owners were at the bar doing the tastings when we went and I just adored them, you could tell that they truly loved what they did and that just makes a place even more special. Not only were the owners fantastic the wine was incredible, I loved everyone on the list I tried and that doesn’t happen often. The view was so nice as well but we got there about ½ hr-45 minutes before they closed so we didn’t get to enjoy it that long. Can’t wait to go back!

This is a one of a kind winery in what is known as Georgia Wine Country. The first thing you have to talk about is the location. Like all wineries in this area, it is off the beaten path. But this one in particular has an incredible view. The tasting room is full of windows and gives a panoramic view of the mountains and valleys around. Unfortunately the vineyard is too young to use their own grapes for the wine. But they are very knowledgable about the grapes and the wines they make. And, for the most part, they are very tasty. And the prices for the tastings are also the best that we found in the area. You can get 5 tastings for $ 7, or 8 tastings for $ 10. And they are very consistent on the pours. I was very partial to the Merlot and Malbec. Of course we had to get a glass and enjoy the outdoor area and the view. Finally, the owners complete the experience. Anything you can say bad about this place, should be made up for with the friendly, knowledgable staff. We lost track of time and ended up being there after closing. But when we apologized, they said«we close at 6:02, or when everyone leaves». Not to mention when one of our party didn’t want a full glass of wine, they were happy to pour a little for her to enjoy. I can’t wait to go back and try the wine from their grapes. I am sure this place will be around for quite a while.

Try the fruit wines! This place is friendly and amazing, and the blackberry wine Midnight will make you find religion. I may or may not be tipsy writing this review, but it’s still good. God bless. Jim is cool. This winery has better muscadine than the nearby place Frogtown.

We stopped in for a tasting and stayed for another bottle of wine & a cheese plate. We will definitely will be back. We are staying in Helen but will be going back tomorrow for Jesus & Jeans! For being only 4.5 years old, this place has outdone itself! Not only do you get to pick which wines you would like to try for your tasting(a HUGE deal to someone who only likes dry reds) the wines are delicious! The blend was my personal favorite. My boyfriend and I visited on a Monday midday, so of course we were the only two in the tasting room. We had a Living Social deal that included staying at the Sylvan Valley Lodge Bed & Breakfast and a tasting at The Cottage. While there, we got to chat with the owner, who’s name escapes me, and he was certainly a pleasure. He even let my boyfriend play his guitar for us. You could really tell his passion for wine. His eyes lit up and his grin was from ear to ear talking about the process and wine consultants, land, etc. The day we went, fog had pressed itself to the windows so we didn’t get to appreciate the views but I hear you can see 4 mountains from the tasting room. Being younger wine lovers(mid 20s) we’ve found some tasting organizers don’t bother to truly invest their time in telling us the process/ingredients/etc. We felt very respected here and learned a lot about The Cottage’s methods and experiments. This would be a gorgeous spot for an outdoor wedding or any event. I’ll certainly keep it in mind for the future ;)

While camping near Unicoi we decided to do a few wineries to pass the time. This one is definitely a favorite. They have a good selection of wine. I did the red wine tasting and was not disappointed. The owners of the winery were behind the bar doing tastings. They were personable and welcoming which in my very humble opinion makes a huge difference and makes a place stand apart from the competition. They took time out to talk to my husband and I about wine, their history and plans for the future and some cool must see places in the area. The view is beautiful and they have a great patio were you can sit and enjoy your wine. They also serve a couple craft beers in case you have a non wine drinker in your group.

We found this place when were on vacation in N. GA. We went to all of the local wineries and would say that this one is one of our favorite winery. This is a nice casual and new tasting room(building). The view is second to none and the people are great.
