Bill’s Dry Clng & Shoe Repair

I recently brought my trusty leather boots to have the heels and soles redone — I paid a steep price and expected a pretty exceptional job, but rather than replacing the siding on the heels of my boots, they put only a thin varnish that scratched off after two days of wearing them. I brought them back and really had to make a fuss to get the woman working there to take them back. The second time around the siding was sufficiently replaced, but in a glossy brown finish, when it had originally been a matte black. And in the end it took three weeks for what should have been a pretty simple repair.
Their prices are much too high for the work that they do, I was very disappointed.

They open late, they close early. They frequently offer 3 & 4 day time frames for your clothes. They do not like next day requests. Did I mention they close early! Yeah, 5:55pm on the weekdays. Nope you read that right not SIX PM. Out the door too! None of this we locked the door at 559 nonsense. This we are driving out the parking lot at 5:55 early. Now opening on time, even that’s a late start of 7 or 8 am? Nope, add ten minutes to that. Which if this was any other type of business except a dry cleaner you might forgive. They do have fair prices. Well if you don’t mind paying extra in aggravation. Me? I’m done with bills — off to D.O.summers who charges way too much but gets my clothes back to me in FOUR HOURS.

Good quality work. A little pricey.

As a lazy person I am the first to admit that I choose the majority of my service providers based on their location. I literally walk past Bill’s Dry Cleaning on my way into work every day, making them a natural choice for my dry cleaning needs.
Bill’s always does a sufficient job which is why they earn three stars. My clothes are always clean and well pressed.
I am not able to give them five stars for a few reasons. Let the list begin…
1) They are wicked expensive. In fact they are the most expensive cleaners I have ever used.
2) They are not always the friendliest.
3) Their lobby/​check-​in area is a hot mess express.
4) they do not seem to be overly speedy.
Overall, If you need a neighborhood cleaner, this place should be a candidate.
