I can start by saying that I am a HUGE fan of small business. That is exactly what we have here. I have been here several times and the food is consistent, nothing overly creative or unique but good and prepared well. The place is tight and cramped but that is ok since it has its boundaries and it is what it is. The part that is just making it not anywhere near a Go-To place for sooooo many locals is the fact that the place is just so unbelievably run down. It is not cute or nicely aged, just dirty & in need of repair. It is such a cute little place that a little redesigning without spending a huge amount of money is all that is needed. If not comfortable on their own, the area has tons of designers who i know would go in & do a great job. Once spruced up inside AND definitely OUTSIDE too, the customers will come in often & happily. The staff seems friendly enough and the service is fast and easy but it really is tough to get by wondering how the kitchen is maintained if the outside, inside & baths are all so ill-kept. I could not go below 3 stars because it really deserves to be at a 4 for food & service but at a 2 for the way the place is kept & looks. A little investment will go a long long way here…

This place hasn’t changed in two decades, and that is a good thing! Scrapple; one of the few places to get scrapple(cooked right!) outside of your own kitchen! Beware the campground crowd as they can swamp the place. The place is worth the wait though.

My fiancé and I stopped in this little gem early for breakfast today… so glad we did! Friendly, fast service, waitress was attentive and quick with the coffee refill, and the food was excellent. Thick cut pork roll(yum!) crispy bacon, fluffy pancakes and a perfectly crafted omelette… now stop reading and go eat! :)

It’s cheap breakfast, diner style. I had the Hungry Man special, Chocolate Chip short stack, bacon and 2 eggs over easy. My wife had an egg meat and cheese breakfast sandwich. Their«homefries» are really cubed«simplot» potatoes. Bacon was a touch salty, but the sausage on my wife’s sandwich was pretty good. 2 people, 2 coffees each and we were under 20 bucks. Above average food at a below average price.

This place is not a bad throwback diner, but it really needs to grow with the time. They offer no gluten, or vegan options. They even carry turkey bacon or turkey sausage for those who don’t eat pork. While this place does have its charm, I really wish this establishment which step out of the past just a little.

I’ve been here countless times and always had good food, decent service, and average prices for the location. It’s a small place that only serves breakfast. Weekends in the summer are usually packed, so get there early. I’ve never had a bad experience there for the past 6 years I’ve been going.

They charge a dollar for a drink refill after charging $ 1.95 for the original drink. It’s a shame as the food is actually good. The staff is also so unfriendly like they all have a bug up their ass! Sorry but I speak the truth! Shouldn’t be in customer service if you hate serving people. Off my list!

Cute little Mom, and Pop style restaurant. Food was good, with decent sized portions. Wait staff was friendly. We went with my dad who is in a electric wheel chair. Restaurant is handicapped accessible, but it’s a little bit of a squeeze. We enjoyed our selves.

I was completely excited to eat at Marge’s after passing by so many times. Our food was good and was served quickly. The staff is HORRIBLE! I would have loved for my plate to be placed on my table instead of dropped. I would have loved if i was asked if I needed anything else before my check was dropped on the table. Lastly, I would have loved if the cashier spoke to me or even acknowledged I existed to say«Have a nice day». I will not give this diner a second chance.

Arrived on the Jersey Shore hungry for breakfast, and decided to try Marge’s Diner based on few reviews. So glad we did! My husband was craving eggs and potatoes, and was curious about a «pork roll»(dead give away that we were tourists — ha!), and I ordered the tomato and basil omelette special with potatoes and toast. The potatoes were nice, not greasy at all with a nice brown on them. The omelette was lovely with lots of tomatoes and nice basil in each bite. What I really loved was that nothing was over salted and the coffee was fresh and generous. The people were very friendly, the ambience was very nice, and the t-shirts were great(Eat here. Get Gas.) Enjoy!

Only open for breakfast and lunch — I’ve only had breakfast. Service is prompt, friendly, and I’ve never been disappointed. Weekends — get there before 9 or wait in line outside the door!

Eat here, Get gas. That is on their menu cover. Our family came here for breakfast and it’s good. It’s a typical diner and reasonable. We had 7 people and sat at the counter. I had an egg-white Western omelette with potatoes and wheat toast. It was good, just like most diners. My kids had pancakes with bananas and waffles. The waffles took a long time to get to my son. In fact, most of us were almost done eating until he got his waffles — a little disappointing that our meals couldn’t come out at the same time. The place is cramp and you might have to wait for a while before you get a seat. The service is pretty friendly. The price is reasonable compared to a lot of the other diner joints in the area. For 7 people, it was $ 64 including tip. I think it’s a 3.5 star place — probably because of how long it took for my son to get his order of waffles.

Decent place for an inexpensive breakfast. Uncle Bill’s down the road a few miles in Avalon, has a bigger selection and higher quality, but you pay much more for breakfast at Bill’s. The place is tiny, so you can expect to wait. Once in and seated the waitresses were all very friendly and constantly offering to fill you coffee cup up. The food was good and came pretty quickly, definitely worth a visit.

This place is a nice place to grab breakfast on the way to the shore. The food and service is fast and very good. Real Potatoes and Fresh eggs. Kind, Fast and friendly service, HOWEVER, this place can be packed very tight. There’s not a lot of elbow room. McDonald style tables and the restrooms are out side in the back. Not handicapped accessible and I would advise you NOT bring in cranky kids. It’s a great stop for adults looking for a good quick meal on the way to the shore.
