This was my first and also my last visit to the King Buffet. The food was confused, in fact several dishes had gone into full blown identity crisis mode. The waitress wasn’t overly friendly and the staff yelled back and forth(awkwardly close to our table) in Chinese. The sesame chicken was good and the noodles were edible. The most horrifying moment of our visit was when the owners young children mangled the food while their mother acted oblivious of their heinous actions. The little girl dug into food with her fingers and then(as I observed in silent shock) took a bite out of an egg-roll and then threw it back into the tray. The even younger brother dropped a chunk of jello in the floor and proceeded to throw it back into the jello tray when his mother grabbed his hand to stop him. I later saw the girl lick a pair of tongs. I tried to remain calm as I alerted my dinner party to the little dirty deeds. I then heard several older ladies ask the mother to quiet her children as they were trying to have a conversation. I did not hear the mothers reply. I’m still in shock over the uncleanliness of the situation. If that is the behavior in public what occurs behind closed doors? I won’t even venture a guess.
