Toucans Sports Bar

Food is ok, shrimp had a «off» taste, was told it was due to it being fresh. I’m from the Gulf coast area, I’ve had fresh shrimp & that was fresh.
The frozen drinks were the best. Try the loopy lada.

This place is so wonderful! Great staff, great view, and a great location at Clearwater beach. I have never had s bad experience at Toucans. It’s family friendly, but also a good place to go for some drinks.

Cheap lobster and prime rib steak. Good food for the price. Lots of TVS to watch sports

We had a great time and the staff was excellent. Our bar tender Jessica took great care of us despite how obnoxious we can sometimes be. If you see her ask her about buying furniture.

Stopped in for a quick lunch, I was pleasantly surprised by the food. I had the fried clams which I know is pretty standard, but they were actually very good. It’s more of a bar but they do have a lot of high tops, it’s good for a quick casual lunch by the water. I would go again.

This is a great place to stop in Clearwater to get a drink. It has an outside «beach» bar although it’s across the street from the beach. But hey warm weather and a cocktail who cares what the view is am I right?!

Stopped in here twice during my recent trip to Clearwater Beach, one night for an Ale, another night for some food.
As I recall, I had a local IPA called «Reef Donkey» by Tampa Bay Brewing Co. It was outstanding! Easily in my Top 20 list of «All Time Favorite IPA’s.»
The second time I came in — I ordered the clam chowder. It was late at night and the chowder tasted like it had been in the pot a tad to long. So just so-​so.
Service was good. Ambiance is casual and laid back if a bit loud.

They pour their liquor so small… it’s ridiculous! 13 bucks for 2 half shots of fireball when you can spend 15 bucks at the walgreens for a whole bottle. I will never drink here again. So many other bar restaurants out there that atleast won’t rip you off on shots unlike this cheap place right here. Never coming here again you can assure that.

Good service, music and plenty of tvs to catch a game. The food was just ok. Boyfriends burger wasn’t seasoned and the fries soggy. My crab cakes were spicy but not really that tasty.

Very nice sports bar. Lots of TV’s playing current sports. Waitress was very friendly. Food came out fast. Music was at a good volume. Atmosphere was really nice and chill. I would definitely recommend.

Horrible customer service. Used to go a few years ago and they were fun and ready to have a good time. But because of this past time I went I’ll never go again. Even the security at the front was extremely rude. The bar tenders were rude as well and they only played old music. Please go somewhere else. You will have more fun literally anywhere else.

We were hungry and this place looked good. We decided to give it a try.
It was great. The food was inexpensive and very tasty. The service was good.

Stopped there for a drink. Unfortunately all the liquors are way overpriced. Service a little bit slow and not super friendly. On the positive side location is awesome and it’s worth to sit by a sidewalk and enjoy a beer. Or a drink. But you must remember that you’ll pay way too much lol

Great food. Fast service. Friendly staff. Open air right near the beach. Mozzarella marinara is great. Burgers are cooked to order and wonderful. Will definitely stop back. Reasonable prices too.

…We prefer to sit at tables in front of the bar but the sidewalk was not clean, contained trash from the street … leaves, papers. The service also was not very good the reception girls spent more time talking, we had to go to them to be served. The beers were very cold and delicious potatoes. Back why Very pleasant stay ado sit on the sidewalk in the late afternoon and maybe we will have more luck with cleaning and care ’

No frills, low-​key sports bar in Clearwater Beach. Friendly staff and inexpensive food and drink make it a chill place. Late on a Wednesday night, this place had a decent crowd and was still serving. And, I did see a tropical bird, which I guess is a toucan.
Drinks are strong, which is always a plus. Typical bar food is good, and my chicken sandwich was one of the better versions I’ve had. However, it doesn’t come with fries, so be sure to ask if you are ordering a non-​burger sandwich. My friends shared their fries, and they were tasty.

I don’t mess with live lobster since I botched «Operation: Crustacean Freedom» trying to set the poor bastards free from the seafood counter I was fired from in 2004. A certain pang of guilt washes over me whenever I see a lobster tank. But that all went to hell on this Florida trip.
For $ 15.95, Toucans will throw a 1.25 lb lobster into a pot of boiling water and bring it to your table with a side of broccoli and a starch. I don’t know about you, but when I go on vacation, so do all of my moral codes. Especially moral violations under $ 20.
The lobster arrives at your table whole; its spiny body intact and perched alertly on the plate like it’s ready to make trades at opening bell. As the lobster faces you, you will have no choice but to look into its beady little eyes. Maybe you’ve made a mistake. Maybe you should have stuck to salad. Maybe you should patch things up with your father before it’s too late. Your best bet is to turn your back on your questions. Your feelings. And start with the tail.
From the tail, you will move to the claws. You will use all of the drawn butter. You will convince yourself that none of this is your fault. Who was this lobster to you? Was he a perfect citizen of the sea? If he could order you as a deeply discounted vacation meal, would he?
Would he?
By the second claw, this lobster will mean nothing to you. You will curse the lobster for not containing more meat. You will mock its demise by making its empty shell do the Stanky Leg for your friends. The check will come. You will feel nothing. You are the empty shell.
One last note: I’m sure this is a popular special with locals and tourists alike, and to the culinary team’s credit — I did not hear even one lobster scream. Kudos, Toucans. Nothing kills the appetite faster than hearing the shrieks of one’s dinner as it makes the journey into Heaven’s Hot Tub.
4 stars because the broccoli wasn’t cooked enough.

First time here with my new wife and we were both blown away by the garlic/​cheese fries for appetizers. Then main dish was Crab and shrimp was so, fresh and exceptionally delicious. Then are great waitress that was punctual with refills and dish change outs. The favorite was the congrats cake they gave us for the honeymoon was sweet and just a phenomenal experience. Will for sure come back here and recommend this place too people.

Poor service terrible waitstaff awful food

This is in a touristy area of Clearwater beach… Why do I like it? They make you feel like local no matter where you are from. I love it when I can be somewhere that is fun and not pretentious… The bartenders here know how to make a good drink and its a great place to watch your favorite game. I felt very at home, need I say more? :)
