I don’t shop here often, but I always enjoy myself admiring his beer selection when I do. I always get 3 or 4 different brands. Checked on the store today, and it was empty — no signs posted about what had happened. When I was in a month or two ago, his inventory was a little thin. He said some of the distributors were squeezing him, but he thought he was going to be okay. I guess not. Too bad! I always enjoyed talking to him.

This small, remote location is an oasis in the craft beer department. I often find myself staring at the selection of imports, trying desperately to figure out what I want to try next. The build-your-own 6 packs help with this a lot. If there are any questions about what you are buying, recommendations and comparisons, or if you have a thirst for information on breweries or upcoming events, this is the place to go to in Clearwater. You can’t ask for more helpful staff. I have enjoyed many recommendations from them, and certainly have developed a trust in their ability to gauge my palette. The selection of beer is great, and well organized into country and region. I have found quite a few choice beers that I could only, previously, read about on the internet. A small sliver of their stock comes from Belgium(including Flanders), Germany, Ireland, Thailand, and even a large portion of craft domestics.

The World of Beer offers one of the best selections of imported beers in the Tampa Bay area. This small, but well stocked store offers everything from rare Trappist Monk beers from Belgium, IPAs, Pilsners, Stouts, Ales, Lagers, and much much more! This spot is not to be confused with the World of Beer bar chain. This World of Beer is a store, not a bar. Although, you could brown bag your beer and drink it next door with the hobos that are waiting outside the greyhound station. The owners are great and the staff is super knowledgeable. My husband and I first started coming here for beer when we turned 21 so we have gathered a lot of our«beer knowledge» from this store. Beer lovers and connoisseurs must check out the World of Beer.

Tiny but powerful. For what is essentially a bodega parked next to a gunshop, World of Beer has quite the selection of bottled beer for you to mix and match and create your own six-pack.

My hubby & I love the selection of imported beers here. It’s nice you can mix & match 6 packs so he gets what he wants, and I get what I want. The store itself is in an iffy part of town and the guys that work there sure do like to flirt it up but even if your hubby is with you. I ignore the homeless guys outside by the bus station and the creepy proprietors and run in and out grab what you want, and be on your way. Mix and match six packs will cost you over $ 12 but that’s what us picky people get! OH, and watch the employees faces when someone comes in looking for Bud or PBR, I swear they’re physically remove them if they could! :)

My husband and I loooove the hard to find/Belgian/unique/imported/beer-snobish beers. We was able to find many at this lil store tucked away in a strip mall in Clearwater. Don’t most of life’s hidden treasures like this usually reside in a strip mall, though?

this place is great! tons of selection. the tour guide hit the spot on his description. i purchased these beers that i haven’t even dreamt of finding in CA: avery the czar old yeti impy hercules dipa dfh 60&90 ipa abbaye de rocs grand cru rochefort 6 they had tons of other beers. i just didnt have tons of other moneys. :( heres the tour guide description i was talking about from : Located just over the bridge from Tampa Airport. Owner and staff are very knowledgeable and have real enthusiasm for beer. Savino, Denis, and Bill are great guys! The store carries all 6 of the Trappist beers; an extraordinary selection of Belgians, a dense population of German, English, and Scottish beers as well. The majority of all the Samuel Smiths, Fullers, DeDolle, St. Berardus, Unibroue, Shipyard, Traquair, Ommegang, Rogue, Allagash, DogFish Head, Avery, Great Divide, Jolly Pumpkin, Boulder Beer, Dunedin… and if your into Caribbean Lagers and Pils, this is the place… the selection is endless, and it’s all sold in singles if you prefer. They buy a surplus of unique glassware every Holiday season; which is intended to lasts them throughout the coming year. Their stock remains heavy, probably 50+ different styles to choose from, until late summer… So if you’re looking to stock up, the sooner the better! Road trip! Located right next to the bus station so in the dead of winter you can hop a bus ride down to Clearwater, enjoy the sun, meet some«interesting folks», buy some beer and drink it in the back of the bus on the way back home. Not to mention the Original Hooters Restaurant directly across the street from the store! ++++
