Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill

I always pass here on my visits being this restaurant is located on the main blvd. We came around 10pm and were seated right away. Started with the Crowd pleaser which is a sampler that consists of onion rings, loaded fries, chicken fingers, and nachos with pulled pork order on it. This is the way to go If you like fried appetizers like me and want to try a little bit of everything. Also ordered the smoked wings and double trouble ribs. All was delicious and I like the fact they have different BBQ sauces to try. They have a good late night happy hour that starts at 10pm to closing. Good service and food came out quickly. This would be my joint if I lived here because of the late night happy hour, 2am closing, a nice outdoor seating.

I’ve only been here twice and both times were great. Great food, great service, and reasonable prices.
Last night me ate:
My dad — half chicken with mashed potatoes and fire roasted corn. He absolutely loved it.
My mom — create your own combo with brisket and ¼ chicken. Her sides were fries and fire roasted corn. She loved the brisket, thought the chicken was a little dry, and she didn’t like the corn.
Both of them got all dark meat chicken
I did the create your own burger. I just did an Angus patty (½ pound), cheddar cheese, ciabbatta bun, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and mayo. A basic burger but that’s all I wanted. My side was fries. My only dislike was the patty was too thick and over powered everything else.
We will definitely go back.

Always good food. Don’t buy that open late thing though. Says open till 2. Started calling at 1230 to get a Togo order. No one answered and had to rive past anyway. They were open at 130 when I walked in but was told kitchen was closed 10 minutes before I got there. Had they answered the phone an hour ago I could have got the to go.

Needed to find a place to watch the NCAA Softball Games! They had several TVs and their BBQ and ColeSlaw was great! Perfect place to get out of the heat during the Softball Tournament up the road!

Our waitress was very timely when we first arrived. When we wanted to order, we were unsure as to what happened to her! I ordered a Smokehouse Burger and it was huge! Bacon, onion, and cheese topped the burger and I swapped my fries for coleslaw. I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely order it again. They have happy hour all day, too!

Apparently you are not welcome to come here and eat dinner at the bar. Came here with intentions of eating food, wasn’t sure if I wanted to drink or not but I don’t really like drinking while I’m eating plus the bar was not crowded whatsoever so I figured it shouldn’t be a big deal. These two blonde bartenders proceeded to be standoffish and rude because my friend and I weren’t slamming shots and beers. It was ridiculous and I felt uncomfortable even sitting at the bar eating my food. Ridiculous. It pissed me off and I don’t wanna come back here because people like that suck. What’s the end game? You wanna be rude and barely speak, then I’m not gonna speak to you either. If I wasn’t a normal person I wouldn’t even have tipped them. So have a blast here and go to the bar and don’t order drinks and get food because it will piss them off apparently

A nice place, we had excellent, quick service. They did screw up my two boys nachoes in terms of what they requested on them. Overall the nachoes were fine.
We had ribs and brisket. Both were very average. The ribs tasted like they were sitting around all day, then sauced. Nothing special. The brisket was over cooked and was basically pot roast. Tender, yet lacking a good smoke ring, with no seasoning or rub at all. I know brisket is not easy, but this is a Barbecue place.
If you are after barbecue, your best bet is a good mom and pop place, ask the locals. Chain barbecue rarely cuts it.

Great atmosphere, great food, great service! The corn is to die for and baked beans a great accompaniment. Definitely will be back!

Good local BBQ. good family place and good food selection for anyone. We will be back for more

Went yesterday for my friend’s birthday. The drinks are awesome. The Long Island Lighter Fluid is really combustible as advertised. You gotta try it. The waiter was great! The food is so yummy, way better than lots of other BBQ restaurans. And don’t forget to order that Hot Bag O’ Donuts for dessert. You won’t regret it!

This smokey bones has the worst bar service EVER! I just waited 30 minutes to order food and the bartenders didn’t even inquire as to what I wanted. There were two lovely looking girls, but no brains whatsoever. There were at most 6 – 8 people at the bar to serve and they couldn’t handle that number. I wouldn’t write such a negative review because it’s possible that they were just having an off night. Nope… I was here 3 weeks ago and experienced the same thing! They just suck!!!

Had the Good Morning burger — a flame grilled burger with bacon, lettuce, tomato and onion with a fried egg. When the egg breaks and that golden, velvety, rich yolk runs over the patty it takes the beef to burger heaven!

We went for dinner on a weeknight and will definitely go back before vacation is over. We started with the Buffalo Chicken Dip. Eaten with tortilla chips, it was very good with big chunks of chicken.
For dinner, Steve had ribs, with 2 different sauces. One of his sides was mac & cheese, which was much lighter than I anticipated — so I’ll order that next time, either as a side or one of their main dishes. He also had cinnamon apples as a side — he loved every bite of everything.
I had a pulled pork sandwich with BBQ beans & Fire Roasted Corn — everything was sooo delicious. The free-​refills blackberry lemonade definitely goes into my top two favorite flavored lemonades. I had to pace myself to not fill up on it.
We somehow made room for the Leaning Tower of Chocolate Cake. I would not order this again — it didn’t taste fresh. I’m sure it had been frozen, which is a shame. The dessert menu is on the small side but I think we’ll try something else next time.
The waiter was outstanding — best service in a long time!

Ótimo espaço com mesas bem distribuídas. Espaço externo e balcão. Só não gostei da falta de guardanapos … As garotas parecem que foram instruídas a economizar… Experimentei um aperitivo, estava gostoso, porém não sei dos demais pratos da cada.

Yes, another chain… but waaay better than any Sonny’s BBQ!
I’ve visited several times now, and have never had «bad» BBQ here. Any pulled pork, ribs, or brisket offering is well worth a try. Factor in the various sauces to choose from and one will find themselves quickly in BBQ bliss!
My Mom loves ribs and unlike most places, you can order them either wet or dry here.
But seriously, that Smokey Bones’ skillet-​baked corn bread? It’s worth just a visit alone…
Listed as an appetizer, we later decided it is much better enjoyed as a dessert, and an awesome one at that!
Served with a mound of «honey-​pecan» butter?
After devouring some really decent chain-​BBQ, their special corn bread is really a unique and tasty way to conclude that a BBQ chain joint can do things very well!

As a Bones Club cardholder, it doesn’t take much to get me into any Smokey Bones as I know the specials and the menu and find the restaurants to my liking.
This location has more going for it than others (Especially the one in Citrus Park) based on my visit on a Friday night when the bar was full and there was a wait for seating in the dining room. Also, I’d done lunch here a few times over the past year and it was also very crowded and lively.
Employees were hustling, especially the managers and pretty young ladies behind the bar and all the food that came out from the kitchen looked outstanding. (We had ate nearby just before and were simply here for cocktails)
As a fan of the show Bar Rescue, I know that almost all «Specialty Cocktails» are overpriced and more for show than anything else. However, we ordered one of the them and were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable price, top shelf ingredients and taste. Then, once that one was done, a manager placed a different specialty cocktail in front of us to see if we liked that one even better… saying it was an extra and encouraged us to enjoy it on the house.
While I didn’t try that one, it was a huge hit with my friend and I’ll always remember the name (Spiked Fruitcake) and how it came in what looked like a single-​serve pitcher for excellent presentation.
We either were in the right place at the right time or just were viewed as friendly customers because when I finished a draft beer a little later, another employee walked over to me and put a fresh draft beer down on the bar saying it was also an extra and it was mine to drink if I wanted one more before leaving.
Our bill was well under $ 20 when Crystal (Look for her at Kay Jewelers as well) cashed us out and it felt like stealing for the quality and quantity of drinks we had over way more time than we initially planned to spend there.
Credit management also for putting the Lightning game on many of the TV’s as soon as they were ready to face off that night. That always shows me someone is paying attention and not letting good TV’s go to waste when something local or nationally significant is available to show.

I have to admit that when my boyfriend wanted to go here I was not feeling barbecue but this place was better than I expected. Largo portions and full of flavor. I loved the sausage and ribs combo. So tasty and the mac and cheese on the sides with the baked beans really completed it. The smoked wings were amazing as well and perfectly smoked. I am definitely returning here for some good ol’ barbecue.

We had a late-​night meal after a concert, and enjoyed our selections. My wife had a Pulled Pork Sandwich, and I had the Loaded BBQ Burger, and we loved them both.
Our Server, Victor, did a great job of keeping our table loaded and drinks full. He kept things moving on a very busy night, but was never remotely pushy. Very nice job all around!

Saw this restaurant from the corner of my eye after a little miniature golf. I was super excited because it was open until 2 AM! Score… so difficult to find restaurants open past 10 PM sometimes.
I ordered the crowd pleaser [sampler of all the delicious appetizers] which included onion rings, loaded fries, loaded nachos, chicken tenders, and two different sauces. I also ordered the cornbread because well… it’s CORNBREAD. Let’s be honest, but this cornbread was magical! It came with this cake tasting type butter that you could smother onto your cornbread… I literally fell into a food coma
I will be back for you cornbread! Delicious and recommended for sure. Will return for some entrees as well and maybe some desserts. I found the donuts to be an interesting dessert option.

I don’t go to Smokey’s much during the day, I am normally an after ten goer. They have a good late night menu, and if you go Monday they have cheaper beer pitchers and all you can eat wings. The Memphis dry rubbed songs are amazing.
Everything I have tried is pretty delicious, the loaded nachos are great for sharing! They have a full bar, but the drinks are a little pricey. Service is good too :)

Just go, have a couple of beers and some food here. Nice American style food.
We tried several meals and all they were good, but nothing too healthy excepting the salads.

Dieses Restaurant ist echt super. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und nett. Obwohl es sehr voll ist muss man nicht lange warten bis man einen Platz bekommt. Das essen hier schmeckt vorzüglich. Es hat eine grosse Auswahl an Essen und es hat super Cocktails. Das Restaurant sieht auch Innwendig sehr gut aus.
