Great service and great food. You have to try their fire roasted chicken wings as well. Great fire roasted thin pizza. Their Italian salad was great, all fresh and crisp. Landed hear by accident but will be back.

Not the greatest coal fired pizza I’ve ever had, too greasy, and should’ve been better for how much it cost(16 in. one topping for $ 22? Yikes). Asked for red pepper to go and got home to find an empty container:(definitely some room for improvement.

Went there yesterday and were seated quickly. That’s when everything went to hell. Waitress pushed two glasses of water in our faces and looked like she would rather be dead then serve us. Then came two large parties with annoying kids which were seated pretty much in our laps. We left and vowed never to come back.

Good pizza, good service but ribs with vinegar peppers and chicken wing are not good. They taste burned and without flavor.

One of the only pizza restaurants that make a thin crust WELLDONE pizza the way it should be. The taste is out of this world. Love their pizza. A huge cut above the other doughy, spongy, anemic and under cooked pizzas which seem to be the rule. Service is «ok «hence only 4 stars. Wherever you go today there seems to be a service attitude.

I came here with my girlfriend and kids and I must say there were varieties of pizza and many different kinds of beers. I am a huge fan of the German beers and so I ask for Hefe everywhere and they had a pretty good Hefe that I enjoyed very much. The kids had cheese pizza which they loved, we had Roasted Cauliflower Pizza which was not my favorite but my girlfriend absolutely loved it. Definitely a great place to eat and will come back!

The pizza was great. The crust was absolutely perfect. They have some chicken wings there as well that were awesome. We only had a sampling of the wings but I would order them again in a heartbeat.

We like to find good pizza wherever we travel. We were vacationing in the Clearwater area and went looking for good pizza. We were fortunate to find Anthony’s. Everything here was great. They have an excellent selection of beers on tap, and they offer a sampler flight. That allowed me to try several local brews without over indulging. For three of us we ordered a medium and a large pizza. Medium was prosciutto and mushroom. Large was broccoli rabe and sausage. We got anchovies and long hot peppers on the side. Everything about the pizza was wonderful, but the quality of the toppings was outstanding. We ordered enough that we thought we would take some how. It was so good we ate every bite. My wife and son had room for dessert. The service and the atmosphere were very nice. Two very minor glitches were that the side toppings came after we already dug in, and someone in the kitchen kept dropping stuff, like a whole stack of trays. A little alarming, but this is a 5 star regardless. Highly recommended!

The pizza is delicious along with the wings! The wings do come with onions piled on them. I order them without them. The place is a nice environment and service has always been good. It is a little on the pricey side.

Here goes the short version of the sloppy experience I had Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza. Called to see if there was a wait. Rude girl answered the phone«Yeah.» Fast forward to where I became frustrated with her lack of manners and generally slow thinking. She indicated that there was not wait. I get there and there is a wait and after waiting 20 minutes she gave my table to the guy who came in after me just because I let her know that I was displeased with her lack of communication and manners. Saw an empty table(was told that there was no reservations) and the Manager(the same quality individual as the girl, wonder where she learned her stellar skills from?) told my wife, 2 year old daughter and aging mother in law that it was reserved for a 9 person party — AFTERWEWERETOLDTHATANTHONY’S COALFIREDPIZZA does not take reservations. Here is where I will simply say that the management at this location stinks and the lack of training runs downhill. Avoid this place unless you think fart jokes are funny and talking with your mouth full is A — OK. If that floats your boat, you will enjoy Jabba’s Palace a.k.a. Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza in Clearwater. To be fair, the location in South Tampa has great management and(drum roll) the service is awesome. P. S. I am not sorry for letting people who take no time with their appearance and have poor manners know that they are inadequate.

We are hooked on Anthony’s! The service is always very good, the atmosphere is fun and the food is excellent. We always order four tried and true items every time we hit any Anthony’s location: One: the Classic Italian Salad with gorgonzola cheese. It’s not spectacular, doesn’t contain shaved truffles or diamond-cut exotic vegetables, but it is just what we like. It’s basic, has just enough variety and light dressing to please, and is plentiful. Two: their wings are oven-baked with caramelized onions, come with focaccia bread and the whole deal is very tasty. They are meaty, not at all greasy and very flavorful. Three: their Pizza is great. Loaded with whatever fresh ingredients you’d like(or try one of their specialty concoctions,) the combination is perfect for us.(*Over the years I’ve heard a few complaints about a bit of charring on the crust, but that has never slowed us down a bit. The pizza is baked in a coal fired oven that is close to the temperature of lava, so it’s a very minor nit to ignore.) Four: their Cheesecake. It’s some of the very best I’ve ever tasted. It’s a big slice, full of flavor and I’d be surprised if you don’t enjoy every morsel. Give this place a try. I think you’ll like it!

This was a last minute, need something to eat kind of thing. Drove by and saw the nice outside seating, and asked for an outside table. Service was great(Ashley & I think the managers name was Lauren). The pizza crust was a bit crispy and burnt; but with another visit. The ice cold bottle of Beringer was perfect!

We have been coming here for years and I never wrote a review. Don’t really know why. The food is always consistently good and fresh. Out of all the restaurants we go to as a family, Anthony’s would rank #1. For the price and quality it is hard to find better.

I’m a hardcore pizza snob and I totally love Anthony’s pizza! The reviews that complain about«burnt» pizza totally crack me up and leave me a bit confused. Maybe it is because this is a style of pizza that was mostly unknown here in Florida until now? It’s clearly stated this is «coal fired» pizza! Their cute slogan is also«Pizza Well Done.» So if you were surprised and unhappy, perhaps you were paying attention to something else? Geez… First, the meatballs and ricotta appetizer was really nice. As for the pizza? Wow! Outside of that other chain at the nearby Mall that came later, Anthony’s was the first to bring this unique style of pizza to our area. They have great cheese, sauce, and some very unique toppings selections. But the draw here for many is that crust! It is indeed black and almost burnt in a few small places. Fans believe it brings an excellent crispy texture and overall unique flavor profile to their pizza. So you either«get» Anthony’s or you don’t. But if you want to try a style of pizza that fairly unique to our area, you should really give them a try… (Oh, and I LOVE the slightly«cheesecake» retro photos of females in the men’s restroom! Cute, a nice touch, and good for a chuckle…)

We were seated promptly for lunch on a Friday. We started with the house salad. It was very cold and crisp, the way a salad should be. We ordered 4 lunch sizes pizzas and received our meals fairly quickly. Everyone enjoyed their pizza selection. Great food and great service!

Got invited by a friend to grab dinner. He choose this place coz it’s close to his place. walking in felt so weird there was three host by the door two of them holding the door and the other one was by the door. Just felt weird coz it took a while to figure out who’s going to show us our table. Got seated and the server was quick to get our drink order. My friend ordered a large pepperoni pizza. The pizza was was good. I like how it’s thin crust. As I like hot sauce on my pizza I asked the server if they have Tabasco sauce but they don’t have it so I ended up using the red pepper that they have not as good as I like but I guess it works.

This updated review is based on customer service, not food. We ordered pizza and their newer offering, a «pot of meatballs» which comes with focaccia. We did ask specifically for the focaccia to go along with the meatballs. When we got home, the focaccia was not there. By the way, they usually all give you a scoop of ricotta cheese when you order the meatballs as side orders. This also was not given with the pot if meatballs. The issue is the response when I called back to let them know. I spoke with a Whitney who was the manager. She was apathetic at best. Certainly, the customer service aspect of things was less than acceptable to me. The food here is really good and we will go back. I will make sure Whitney knows how she could have handled things to make things right. Lesson– always double check your order before you leave! Chances are, the people who messed up don’t care and won’t even try to fix it!

Oh yes, the best coal fire pizza that we’ve found here in Clearwater, that’s right even better than that spot on Ft Harrison St in downtown Clearwater. On this cool night the wait for a inside table was 30 min, so we opted to sit out on the sidewalk somewhat near a heater. The lack of ambiance was made up for with great tasting food, good service, and special attention by John the manager. We started off with 10 wings smothered in caramelized onions w/focaccia bread on the side. Thought it was rather an odd combo, wings and onions, but I couldn’t get enough of them. It was excellent. Next we ordered a large pizza w/onions and sweet peppers. Now here was a coal fired pizza that I loved. Great taste, of the onion and the roasted peppers, combined with a perfect blend of cheese and sauce on a crust that held up well.(even the next day) Outstanding! The Manager John, came by to see if we enjoyed our meal. When we told him yes, very much, he asked if we had the meatballs. We said no but I had heard about them from listening to a sports talk show. He said he would get us some. Our waitress brought out a order w/focaccia bread, again out of this world great! Thank you John you made our night. Anthony’s certainly made a great impression with me. Again, the other coal fired pizza place on Ft. Harrison St. could of cared less when we told them that our pizza was soggy. So soggy that we chose not to bring home the leftovers. Here the manager is hands on and very welcoming, which translates to… we’ll be coming back to Anthony’s real soon! Wings, lg Pizza 2 toppings, 1 beer — $ 37.41

Don’t waste your money. Their pizzas are small with thin burnt crust and they skimp with the toppings. They charge nearly $ 10 for a one topping lunch pizza which is only about 7″ across. The pizza was burned all on the bottom and was covered in charcoal. So bitter. I couldn’t finish my over priced pizza and I tried because I hate to waste money

I wanted something different for lunch before I headed over to Down Town Tampa for my hair appointment, so I opted for Anthony’s. I wanted pizza and this was going to be a good choice. I’d gotten caught in the rain earlier that morning, so sitting outside was a nice choice, inside I would have been too cold. Sitting out side allowed me to warm up and start to dry out. The waitress was very nice, she directed me to the lunch specials and gave me a few minutes to decide. When she came back, I opted for a single serve peperoni pizza and a diet coke. The diet coke was bottle served — I asked about this and she said that her boss’ philosophy is that it will always be the perfect coke that way, consistent quality. And I get that. In a few minutes the pizza came out and it looked delicious, there was a bit of the tomato sauce bubbling up through the cheese and the ruby of the pepperonit just glistened. and when I took a bite. YUM! The only thing I can say about this place is that because it’s coal fired, some of the crust may be over done for some people. NOTME, I loved it, and I’ll be back!
