Two of my favorite phrases in any language: «all-you-can-eat» and«sushi.» They have a buy one get one half price on Sunday, and the unlimited sushi, miso soup, and dumplings were delicious and fresh. Service was friendly and prompt. I already can’t wait to go back! I don’t know what’s up with St. Louis that AYCE sushi is a common thing, but it’s a freakin’ gift and I appreciate it.

It’s hard to find good sushi in this part of the country but Sushi Ai was delicious. I can’t remember exactly what I got(Spicy Dragon? Spicy Tuna? It was a «Spicy» something and it was awesome), but my fiancé got the Obama’s Choice roll. We were both impressed. Service was good. It was sort of hard to find street parking, but it was totally worth it to drive around the block 3 times!

12.99 all you can eat sushi(on the list)…green tea & edamame is extra… oh well. American role, Alaskan role, radish role, escolar/white tuna & masago were all good. Tried talking to sushi makers behind bar while sitting… they understood half of what I said or asked… kind of funny

Service — 1 star Food– 2 star What do people look for when you go to AYCE sushi places? Atmosphere, service, and decent sushi. This place has none of the above. If you order sushi not only is do they skimp on the fish(it’s large amount of rice with very very thin slice of fish), but also the fish are not very fresh(the color is dull). While it’s AYCE so a solution could be order more fish, this restaurant has a policy of penny pinching, and will charge you $ 1 for every roll ORRICE left over. So if you choose to just eat the fish they will charge you $ 1 for not eating EACH piece of rice. So unless you meticulously plan your meal so that you order the exact amount you want to eat, be ready to cough up $ 1 for each piece of rice you have left over(as they stare at you throughout the end of your meal). There are tons of AYCE sushi places in St Louis. Literally a minute walk a way is a much better restaurant, Wasabi, which has much fresher cuts of fish, or if you want to drive Nobu by 170 and Olive, which actually looks like a Japanese restaurant. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

I generally avoid«all-you-can-eat» sushi places. But this one’s OK. it’s not Nobu by a long shot but the sushi is fair, the prices low and the service friendly.

You I live sushi and there are now plenty of places to go in St. Louis. So the better half and myself were in Clayton when I had an inkling for some sushi. The place I want to go to said it was opened on the website, but when we arrived at the door… CLOSED. so I jump on my Unilocal app to locate a other location Sushi Ai popped up. Now I’ve heard a out this o e, but never been. So we went and was immediately seated. I ordered my normal, but they had a different one that we didn’t recognize. So Vince asked what it was(had lot of black and orange colors) and so we ordered it. Nope, no sake for me because they had bud light lime, lol! The food was good I must say. It was fresh and the service was excellent! Because it’s on a main road, the parking can suck! But we found one spot amazingly close and it was the weekend, so that helped. You may want to check out nearby parking when going. I’m just glad I found one close by so if I run to the mall or go pay taxes at the administration bldg., I can go cheer myself up afterwards by going to eat here!

We stopped here after an early movie and even though we were the first ones there, within 15 minutes, the place was pretty full. Most people seemed to be ordering from the all you can eat menu; however, Sarah and I already had our hearts set on some specific rolls that weren’t included in that menu. We ordered the Crazy Spicy Crab Roll, Green Dragon and Supersonic Roll(which happened to be Sarah’s favorite). All of the rolls had great flavor with a fair amount of kick. Hubby did the all you can menu and ordered pot stickers and nigiri. The pot stickers were very good and well worth ordering. Hubby thought the nigiri was solid. Only problem with our visit was that hubby ordered all you can eat and so they brought all of his food out right away and he was done eating before we ever received our rolls. Timing could have been better.

I have visited twice this week. Sushi is pretty decent and the all you can eat thing is really nice. It makes you feel like you’re getting a value(which you can get if you eat enough food). Drinks are cheap too(a beer is like 3 dollars). At the end of the day the quality is pretty good and it’s affordable. Check it out!

After living in Chicago for three years, and los Angeles for an additional three, I have become spoiled when it comes to sushi. I have come to terms with the fact that Missouri is surrounded by land, and will used flash frozen fish for all of their sushi desires. That being said, the sushi here was very tasty. I ordered the American dream roll, while my girl ordered the Maryland roll.(The exact same thing but salmon rather than shrimp tempura). They were both tasty but I would have liked more variety. As it was our fault, I cannot take away from sushi ai. The food was quick to come out. Pot stickers were super tasty and 3 is never enough so ya gotta order more! The environment was as expected for a small location. They even included the appetizers as part of the lunch special, 12.99 all you can eat!!! Let me reiterate this, $ 12.99 all you can eat sushi and apps!!! I was slightly disappointed in the sushi selection for this since the website shows twice the options as the menu provided, but you cannot argue with the quality you get for that price.

Inconsistent. First, it’s very reasonable compared to the other sushi places in the area, especially since there are coupons and Specials that pop up. It’s also very quick. I’ve been here 5 – 6 times for take-out and the first two times right after they opened it was fabulous. The last two times the quality was definitely not as good.

All you can eat sushi at $ 12.99 lunch. I’m in the middle of nowhere and didn’t have much choices so I decided to try this out, hoping my stomach will survive. The AYCE menu is very limited, just standard rolls only, no special rolls. They do offer sushi. The fish did not taste that fresh. The people in the Midwest need to try NY sushi, you will love it.

I’ll preface this with… I was a bit tipsy when I wandered in here after a work happy hour, but pretty decent sushi! This was a surprise find, I was on my way down the street and they have this amazing special. Instead of all you can eat, they will also allow takeaway in the form of three rolls and some sushi for the same price(19.99 if I remember correctly). For that price, definitely a thumbs up for a quick sushi meal. Overall… decent and worth it for the price.

My husband is a regular hear. He loves sushi, but he usually doesn’t love the price. So he comes here for their all-you-can-eat special. It’s certainly not the most amazing sushi around, but you can’t beat the price when your main goal is to stuff your face. Parking can sometimes be a challenge, but not too bad if you’re willing to park around the corner or down the street.

Just finished eating our food from here tonight. My wife and I both ordered two different sushi rolls that according to the menu contained crab. However, the«crab» was actually imitation crab but the rolls were priced as if it was real crab. They also tasted poor. We also ordered soft shell crabs which were okay and also the crab Rangoon which was average. The only thing that was good were the potstickers/dumplings. Very disappointed given the fact we spent $ 70.

One of the best sushi joints I’ve been to! The all you can eat sushi for $ 12.99 is a STEAL! I wouldn’t be able to find a deal that great where I’m from in California! The service was also phenomenal. The waiter we had was alert and attentive; and the food came out fairly quick. Just know if you don’t finish your sushi they charge 50 cents per piece, so don’t over order! Order what you know you’ll be able to finish. Hope to return in the future when I’m back in St. Louis!

My boyfriend and I came in for the all you can eat sushi special. It was not good, to say the least. All our rolls tasted like smoked salmon, even when we ordered tuna and fresh salmon. I kinda felt sick after the first two rolls I had, but had to finish, as they make you pay extra for anything left on your plate. Pretty crappy, if you ask me. It didn’t get any better. We audibly heard another customer complain to the other people at his table that his rolls also all tasted the same. I’m not sure if they’re not properly storing their fish and the flavors are co-mingling, or if they’re just using the cheapest fish on earth. Either way, it was disgusting and I won’t ever be back. Do yourself a favor and go to To-Go Sushi in Brentwood instead. They have the best sushi that I’ve tried so far in this city, their rolls actually contain fish and won’t leave a bad taste in your mouth, and the prices are even better than Sushi Ai. You even get to take your leftovers, or whole meal, home at no extra charge. Waaaaaaay better. But honestly anything would be better than Sushi Ai.

I consistently go to Sushi Ai 2 – 3 times a month. Where else can you get 6 rolls of sushi for $ 20?!(Yes, I can actually eat 6 sushi rolls by myself.) It’s $ 14 for all you can eat during lunch and $ 20 for dinner. On Sundays, they have buy one get one 50% off for an average of $ 15 a person. My favorites are the Alaska, American Dream, and Maryland rolls. They also have appetizers included in the all you can eat. The gyoza and veggie tempura are pretty good. Just writing this review makes me hungry…

Have been here a few times for lunch. Great atmosphere, friendly and engaging staff and the establishment is clean and inviting. The inexpensive 12.99 all you can eat gives a selection of regular types of sushi and you can have additional 1.5 off if you print and bring the online coupon. A good place for socializing. 4 stars because of the barely satisfactory food quality, such as incorrect choice for the sushi rice(and the rice was wrongly seasoned), and low-grade salmon and tuna(in terms of the texture, fattiness and freshness). But I will say it is probably the best you can get considering the price. Overall 3.50 rounded to 4 stars

I stopped in here for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised. They have great deals, 12.99 all you can eat, and 7.99 for two rolls during lunch. Those are great prices. My food came out so quickly. Within five minutes of ordering and the waitress Cathy was so pleasant. She explained the menu to me to help me order the best deal for me and answered any questions. As far as the sushi goes, it was ok. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but the pleasant experience made up for it.
