This WAS one of my favorite places to eat. Sadly it is now closed and out of business. Lovin Spoonful… YOUAREDEARLYMISSED!

Charming place! I stopped in for lunch with girlfriends and we were very pleased. Our food was delicious, the restaraunt was charming and the people were very kind. I am disappointed that I have driven by for almost a year and just now stopped. I will definitely be back!

Very good! Lots of vegetarian choices, and meat choices, too. Cowboy caviar was my favorite. The grit cake was interesting, and strangely enough reminded me of broccoli cheese casserole.

Yummy fresh food. Vegetarian friendly. Something for everyone The jalapeño grit cakes are addicting. The food is simple and good. It’s just a fun place to go, each table has a paint by number theme and the staff is always so nice. The hours tend to change with the season. Call ahead to see when they are open

Excellent, whole, healthy food! We had the lentil cous cous salad, the tortilla casserole, and the veggie chili dog. I love that they have so many veggie options! The side salad was a lovely mix of fresh greens-no iceberg in sight! Portions aren’t huge– they are just right! We will be back!

Excellent service. Delicious cooking. Specials highly recommended. Amazing collection of paint-by-numbers covering the walls. A bit hard to find but worth the effort.

The food is home cooked comfort food favorites with a fresh light taste. The portions are perfect and leave you wishing for more but glad they cut you off. The staff is very nice and I have enjoyed every dish I’ve ever had here. A must have is the chocolate pecan pie.

Being from out of town I decided to yrlp a café this came up in Clarksville so we made the stop. It has a creepy atmosphere with the kinda creepy décor but they seated all six of us. The food was excellent and service was nice. My only criticisms is the décor and the coffee was a Lil dark for my taste but overall definatley worth a quick stop. I had the roasted veggies which was great for vegans

I have yet to be disappointed by The Lovin’ Spoonful’s food or service. I love the décor and the food can usually be adjusted to fit your tastes or dietary restrictions. The sweet tea is phenomenal. The only reason that they are getting a 4 out of 5 is the hours. Unless you work right near downtown it can be hard to catch a meal there during the week because they don’t keep dinner hours and as busy as they get on Sundays the limited hours are too short. It is mostly a quibble in the overall scheme of things though.

Great spot. Jill R’s review is spot on. Kitschy décor. Friendly folk. Good home cooking with healthy fresh ingredients. This place is always a sure thing for lunch.

I started coming here when the doors first opened — I think in 2008, and went almost everyday for a year. I wish that I could be a faithful customer still to this day. Not that anything is wrong, but I do not live in the area anymore. This place is wonderful. I have tried everything on the menu for vegetarians and do not have a single complaint about anything. The staff, at the time mother and daughter, are wonderful. I felt like I was a member of the family. I mean really, when they know your name and come sit with you… perfect. I miss this place, and hope to be back in the area one day. Thanks for the awesome memories and great food.

So I have been to Lovin’ Spoon Café about 4 times now! This is a hidden gem in Clarksville! My bf and I are both from California, and we took his family to this little café. They liked it a lot. The food there is simple and homemade. Everything has been good so far. Between the 4 times I’ve been there and the 5 people, we have tried the specials, the ruben, veggie sandwich, hummus, fruit salad, jalapeño grits and a few other things. The owner gets her dishes from antique stores and everything in that café unique.

This is my spot in Clarksville to feel like I’m back home. Tasty comfort food like Mom and Grandmom cooks, except(bless their hearts) healthier. Unappologetic with the 1960’s kitsch, just accept it as soon as you walk in the door. I love the staff, they’re always so sweet and helped me cater a party for work last year with rave reviews from my company. I reccommend the turkey and cranberry sandwich, the Vegas chicken(it’s a special, they don’t have it every day), quinoa salad and the Hello Dolly bars(delicious. Sinfully delicious, but I come here after church, so I guess it’s okay). Just go and make your stomach happy.

I enjoyed my meal here. I got the meatloaf sandwich. Reminded me of a tastier sloppy joe. The cucumber salad was very good.

So, once again, the dumbass son of the owner of this flea market decides to tell me I’m a douche. In a «compliment» he says this: «Sorry your too good for us Clarksville folks. Since you’ve been so many places and all. Well guess what? I have too. Sounds like you think more of yourself than the food you eat.» What the hell does that even mean? Re-read my original review of the place. I didn’t bash it. I simply said it wasn’t anything special to me; but yet, Junior McBadGrammar seems to take offense. Here’s my updated review of the Lovin’ Spoonful: Avoid it! If you don’t care for it, a pissed-off kid with poor communication skills will stalk you.

Oh. My. Goodness. I cannot believe that I’ve lived two blocks away from this gem for almost three years, and have never tried it. As soon as we walked in my mom and I were greeted by this very nice hippie dude who was more than willing to explain everything on the menu, we decided to try quite a few things and just share the dishes. My favorite by far was the jalepeno cheese grit cakes. Like what the hell? I’ve never heard of a grit cake in my life but I freaking died. So yummy! My next favorite was the fruit salad. I have no idea what they put in that sauce but it was absolutely decadent, and a top secret recipe… Yeah. It’s that good. You shouldn’t leave Clarksville without visiting this café. It is the most original place to grab a bite to eat, definitely a breath of fresh air in a town with a stale culinary scene.

Yummy home made food. Tons of vegetarian options, not as many as I have seen at other Lovin Spoonfuls but a decent amount. When you go you have to have one of the desserts. I had the chocolate fudge pie and it was amazing. I will definitely be going back.

I really enjoyed this place. I ordered the black bean casserole and it was delightful! BUT make sure you like black beans b/c it is the base. I also had their vegi chili and it had a nice flavor. The hubby liked his chili cheese dog sandwich as well. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. It was kind of quirky b/c there is art work ALL over the walls … as I was checking out I found out there are all paint by number paintings(interesting). I would recommend this place. Locally owned is always great, very kind to their customers, and interesting atmosphere!

I cannot say enough about this little café. All food is home made daily. Not heavy, but very flavorful. I would recommend ordering off their side or special menu, and not a sandwhich(you can get a sandwhich ANYWHERE, so try something different). I had the cucumber salad(mixed with a yogert dressing), jalepino grit cakes(very tasty) and potato soup(cream and broth based, but not heavy). WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL!
