Excellent food/portions, friendly service AND clean! I lived in the orient for 3 years and love authentic oriental food. Husband and I are regulars here. Their drive-up window is a HUGE plus for me! We have many favs… cashew chicken, pepper steak, general tso’s chicken, szechuan shrimp, crab rangoon, egg rolls, hot n sour soup… to name a few. Just had their Ma Po tofu today — best I’ve had ! This one is not on the menu but, they will make it for you.

I settled on King Mao based on Unilocal reviews… I ordered kung pao chicken and the Singapore noodles… I’ve come to the conclusion Chinese restaurants base their seasoning on the particular area they are in. For example here at this restaurant they use curry seasoning for their noodles where as in Hawaii soy sauce, sesame seed oil, and/or oyster sauce is used. I guess people have responded favorably for the curry seasoned noodles, my first time trying Chinese food seasoned with curry powder… my take on the food here, I enjoyed the flavor for both dishes I ordered and the portions were served to feed 3 – 4 people. I will go back to try some of the other dishes. Not a bad place, definitely worth giving them a try…

Probably one of the best sit-in, take-out, and delivery American-Chinese style foods. The Singapore Mei Fun is the best in town. I have also tried the newish Salt and Pepper Shrimp. A bit too salty for my taste, but otherwise very good. The curry beef and onions was also surprisingly delicious. Also, their fried chicken wings and fries is very good. As far is take-out goes, it is my goto for Chinese. Especially considering their are two more within a block of this place.

Why, why, why is it so hard to find good Chinese food around here?! I guess I need to stop comparing everything in the Clarksville area to my oh so beautiful city of San Diego. The prices are very very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Hubs and I order, sweet and sour chicken, flied lice(lol, I’m Asian had to do it) wonton soup and chicken lo mien. Sweet and sour chicken was on point! So much chicken! Nice batter and great sauce! Fried rice was yellow… YELLOW! I get it, they used turmeric but when I see yellow fried rice the color just gives you a big question mark. Wonton soup was good. No complaints. Lo mien was alright. I was searching for chicken and was getting really skeptical as to where my chicken was only to find out they cut it the same way their noodles look(HAHA) good one King Mao you’re very good at disguising your chicken! I guess I’m still on the search for some mighty fine Chinese food. C’mon Clarksville gimme a place I can rave about and take my family and friends to when they visit!

The meat had way too much sauce on it and it had a weird texture. The fried rice was horrible. The lo mein was well flavored but had too much sauce on it(for my taste). The egg roll was pretty good.

Good food over all. I feel like the beef dish I ordered could have had more beef for the price! The fried rice wasn’t very flavorful. Will order again to try different dishes. Delivery time was decent considering it was a Friday night.

Ordered carry out, food was ready relatively quick(about 10 minutes). The food was better than your average China buffet. Proportion size was very large and one meal fed 2 people and still had leftovers. Will go back again.

Long day of meetings, and after an accidental nap until 9:30pm I was hungry and far away from home. Who will deliver? My first choice was not willing to travel to my hotel, to far away. I figured I would play it safe and order standards. Pork fried rice, egg roll and wanton soup. Delivery was quick, food was hot but that’s about it. I had asked for a spoon and fork, no dice. The wanton tasted like it had turmeric in it(main spice found in Indian curry) which, you may like, I did not. The egg rolls were crispy but the inside was boring and almost slimy? The fried rice was edible but plain. Pricing was fair. Overall I would pass but who knows maybe the other dishes are better?

Loved the quality of food. It’s the freshest Chinese we ever had from delivery. The reason I’m giving 4 stars the wait was over an hour but aside from that it was well worth it! King Mao is our go to for Chinese from now on :)

Not great but not awful either. The lo mein smells and tastes like feet. The dumplings are weird and not what I’m used to. They have a mush inside of them. Doesn’t look like meat. A lot of food for price. Would eat here if desperate. Not spicy like it says but j feel like it’s that way every take out place.

Pretty good food for the price and the portions are huge. The Kung pao chicken is my favorite and the garlic chicken was great as well. Only two dishes I really get so can’t speak for the rest of the menu.

Out of all the Chinese food I’ve tried this by far is one of the best ones. Delivery takes awhile about an 1 hour or so.

First time I had it, it was mediocre at best. Got it delivered to my house the 2nd round and it was amazing. 3rd time was definitely not a charm as my fried rice was hard and barely edible. So, this place is hit or miss.

King Mao delivered exactly on what was promised. For an exotic food business operating out of a strip mall on Fort Campbell, this place holds it own and is a viable takeout option if you’re in a fairly lazy mood. Yeah, the fried rice was a bit«meh»…I’ll actually take the blame for ordering that in the first place, since Chinese fried rice is rarely all that flavorful even on the best of occasions. The Singapore Mai Fun was a step up though, with about as much spice level as one could hope to encounter in Clarksville. I genuinely enjoyed eating that dish, in a Chinese-comfort-food sort of way. The crab rangoons were not bad, either. One thing you can’t say that King Mao skimps on is the portion sizes. I can say with confidence that two full-size entrees should be enough to feed a family of 4−5…or a couple for 2 – 3 meals of leftovers. Also a bonus: check out the legit arowana in the aquarium while you’re waiting to pick up your food!

Got the orange chicken. It was very«orangey» but not spicy like the menu said. Maybe next time i’ll remind them to kick it up a notch. Portion size was outstanding. I had enough for lunch the next day.

I can’t speak on the take out food sizes because I dined in. I felt that my portion size was commensurate with the amount I paid for it. I didn’t have to wait terribly long either. I ordered the Honey Chicken with steamed rice and an egg roll. The honey chicken I’ve had at other restaurants(Redwood, I’m looking at you!) sometimes has a hard glaze over the meat. Some people might like it– this guy wasn’t one of them. The glaze is so hard that it’s like you’re eating candied meat. That’s NOT right! I loved the way they did it here. Even when the food cooled a bit, it still wasn’t hard or difficult to chew. So they received two stars just for getting that part perfect. The steamed rice was good– slightly sticky and I could eat it with my chopsticks. The egg roll was crispy, crunchy, and not greasy at all. I’ll dine in again.

Ordered from these guys multiple times — all delivery — and they’ve delivered hot, tasty, and inexpensive food every single time. Let’s keep it real though, it’s mostly mass produced food and while it still tastes good, if you’re picky or want originality then you’re prob not going to like Kings. If you are hungry and enjoy big portions of Chinese classics, then you’ll prob be happy with this place. Side note: Only once did our order take excessively long but we ordered during a busy time. The restaurant is located off Fort Campbell Blvd which can be a nightmare, traffic-wise, at times. Outside of that they’re fast.

I’ll start by saying I’m picky when it comes to any kind of Asian cuisine. My boyfriend is Thai and makes the best fried rice I’ve ever had so I’m spoiled by that. I was craving that made from scratch deliciousness that I am used to & shouldn’t have even thought it would be the same. I ordered the shrimp fried rice, the rice was a little undercooked and hard. I’m not an onion fan at all, but can deal with them. The onions in this fried rice were hard too. Almost as if the onion wasn’t cooked just chopped up and thrown in the rice. I ordered my son the sweet and sour chicken because being 4 that’s all he’ll eat from there. It was pretty good and also came with some steamed rice. The portion size of the chicken was overflowing. I also ordered some crab rangoon, which was pretty good and full of the filling. The reason I’ll give this place 3 stars is because the delivery was super quick(I used the online method) and the price was extremely reasonable at a low $ 21, but it just wasn’t all that good. I think I’ll just stick to homemade which is always better. I probably won’t eat here again just because it wasn’t something I really enjoyed. I definitely will not take my boyfriend here he’d probably look at me like I was crazy.
