I only stayed here for a few months but the whole experience from start to finish was seamless. First off, the apartments look like they do in the pictures! You get exactly what you see. I resided in the Spring House apartments, they were newer construction. I couldn’t even tell someone had lived there prior to me. Moving in was as simple as passing a credit check, filling an application, and making an appointment.(The turnover rate for the rentals are high because the residents are mostly military so you won’t have a problem getting a unit) Our leasing agent, Lynn, had a great personality and was upfront about everything. Moving out: We gave them 30 days notice for the move out with a tentative date. They were very flexible considering my husband didn’t get his PCS orders cut until a week before the move. The inspection was fast, we didn’t get it professionally cleaned and got most of our($ 500) deposit back(minus the $ 75 for carpet cleaning, + $ 40 for replacing a few things) Had we professionally cleaned the carpets, replaced the drip pans, and the broken window blind we would have gotten the full deposit back, we were just short on time! Oh, and mind you we mounted our TV and had plenty of holes in the wall. Pros: Great location: close to downtown, minutes to Wilma Rudolph, and 15 mins to Campbell The apartments come equipped with a security system(lowers your renter’s insurance, which they require you to get) $ 720/month which includes water Sound proofing(I never heard my neighbors!) Maintenance was fast/reliable Washer/Dryer hook-ups Pet Friendly(Pet fee is $ 200) No outside maintenance, You don’t even have to take your garbage can to the curb! Flooring was ceramic tile + carpet Central Air Non– Smoking Cons: No assigned parking(Which wasn’t that bad for us because we had considerate neighbors) Lots of construction in the area(Again, not really a problem for me, it wasn’t that loud, just an eyesore) Fat, lazy neighbors who instead of walking their dogs they just let them loose.(I’ve come close to hitting a few and stepping in shit) Electric Appliances — So, if you are heading to Campbell, do it — the on-post housing is meh and you will get to pocket some of that BAH!
