I’ve came here with my family for lunch on Sunday 2⁄7 and liked the food and service there previously, which is why we are repeat customers. However, after the recent experience I had with one of there employees who were behind the meat carvering, I’m reconsidering coming here any more. More detail description: — Waited in line for a slice of Prime Rib, there was no one waiting behind me. Once it was my turn, I told the meat carver i would like one large slice of prime rib. — This person sliced a small piece(smaller than the size of a credit card), so I asked the meat carver can I please have a larger slice. — Meat carver said no, only 1 with a frown facial expression. — There was no one behind me, and this is a buffet all you can eat. — On top of that, he did not know how to slice meat, it looks like this person was a new employee, i’m not sure. — I do know, the employee was wrong when a customer asked for a larger slice for an all you can eat buffet place. I’m I suppose to accept less than half a slice and just go? I was very hungry and telling me i can only have that very small piece no more, as a customer extremley upset me and would inform Golden Corral Management to train their employees to always make the customer happy and provide as much as the customer wants in an all you can eat buffet which I paid for. Golden Corral, please train your employees as that one carving the prime rib really pissed me off, and would recommend others to avoid this place if this is how they treat there customers as a school cafateria.

My second time here but I didn’t like it. First I think I over payed. Almost$ 95.00 then one off the girls started sweeping by my table. And I didn’t like the fact that I didn’t get a refill on my coffee. The only good thing is the food. So most likely we won’t be coming back

Not as ghetto as Hometown Buffet but the types of patrons pretty much are the same. The food is much better quality, so I did enjoy my experience here. The lines are long but they moved pretty quickly, then again I was eating dinner at 4pm: P I loved that they had catfish(cajun style), two types of enchiladas, lots of mashed potatoes, cotton candy, and STEAK. The grilled steaks were so good quality so that alone made the meal worth it! It’s a one time try, and I would have liked to come back but the constant line out the door and the obnoxious customers deter me a bit. The water was yellow-ish, the kids were loud, and there were people arguing about who cut who in the line to pay. Perhaps we’ll try a different location next time. :P

Been here a few times, and the lines have finally died down. It used to be crazy busy, and still is weekend evenings, but it may be worth it. The food is pretty good, the only thing I look forward to each time are the steaks, the chef knows how to cook them! always juicy, and fresh. The desert section is a bit sketchy, you don’t know if they kids have touched anything or not because they are a bit low. Dinner is about 13 bucks for adults, not including drinks. Its good for a family dinner, every so often.

I adore the variety of food they have here, a huge salad making selection, pancakes, eggs, waffles, juice and more for breakfast, for lunch there’s orange chicken and other Asian fare, chicken fajitas, enchiladas, rice, all kinds of great Mexican food, sliders and other American style food, plus Southern fare: fried catfish, okra, bourbon st. chicken, hush puppies, the list goes on! The desserts are good too, cake, pie, ice cream, chocolate fountain, cotton candy and much more. Big props to our server Xochil. She had the timing down perfect. She would come by to ask if we needed any thing right when we did, but didn’t bother us otherwise. She did a great job and I wish there were more amazing servers like her…5 stars for her for sure!

Late post but i have to share. It was mine & my husband’s first time on Monday. Right off the bat we were turned off by the appearance. In the sense of seating, torn seats etc. Unfortunately that’s due to the clientele. What made this experience so great that i can totally over look the rest, the food and attentiveness of the staff. The food is great! Veggies are fresh, colorful crisp and kept in a fridge in plain sight. The fresh produce is exactly that, fresh. Nothing frozen. The fruit was sweet. I had starwberries which aren’t even in season & they were big, bright red, crunchy and sweet. They’re steaks were juicy and tender. Meatloaf was tastey and not dry. They not only had baked potatoes but baked SWEETPOTATOES! I was full but made room for it. Butter and cinnamon

Buffets are really nothing to rave about in Los Angeles it usually is an option for people with big appetites or big families. So Golden Corral Buffet and Grill is exactly what you get. We arrived at the location that has a large parking lot that is shared with other restaurants and just in case you change your mind you have options. So like the name suggests there is a huge line of people lined up outside being corralled into the restaurant entrance. That line took about an hour on a Sunday afternoon between 2 pm and 3 pm. I’ve gone to other buffets before so I wasn’t shocked but what did confuse me was the fact that you get your drink before you get to the register. The fact that you have to carry your drink to your table one before you pay kind of works but also is a bit awkward so let’s just roll with it. Once we got our table it was off to the different stations that don’t line up with the fish and wok signs painted above them but who really cares you just take a quick walk through then attack. I started with the steaks made to order and the ribs and some other sides that really just filled the gaps of my meat plate. The steak was actually really good and I asked for medium rare and that was what I got. As for the ribs they were fall off the bone and the sauce was good to but I wanted to add extra sauce but I never found it. My second plate was filled with fried chicken that tasted like a lightly battered mix of southern and catfish battering but good seasoning. Their fried fish was southern style like you would expect from a southern style buffet dishing out steaks, collard greens, fried chicken livers and other southern staples. They did add a few Asian options which none of us tried and the Mexican items was not what I came for so I can’t comment on something I didn’t try. The salad bar was huge and had a lot of great variety and if you like bacon bits it is located next to the baked potato station. The whole family loved the desert counter because of the variety of ice cream and sweets and I have to mention the chocolate fountain that my boys love going to. I guess my only complaint was the setup of the location it makes walking from your table to the buffet very tight so you have to be very careful carrying your food to your table. I saw a lot of people bumping into each other the whole time I ate because I was located near the buffet. I am assuming the building is too small for the original setup but it gets the job done and I got stuffed and my boys went into food comas. Oh yeah and our server was a mazing quick and attentive and he was like speedy Gonzales with our drinks and clearing off our table. I wish I could have stopped him to catch his name but he was jamming so if I see him again I have to compliment him properly. So not a bad spot and 80% of the food was really good with a few misses and the crowd is kind of crazy so only 4 stars. The reason 4 stars is because if I am going to do a buffet spot and not one that does one occasionally I would go to this place before hometown or one of those Asian spots cause steak is better than noodles.

For what you pay, this is as good as it gets. How does this place even make money? I stuffed myself tonight with so much goodness I just couldn’t eat another bite after 4 plates. Fried chicken, Baby back ribs, chicken noodle soup, rice pilaf, collard greens, Texas toast, salad, banana pudding, peach cobbler, are just some of the items I sampled tonight. I can’t remember the last time I ate this much, not even at my beloved Kirin Buffet. No, you will not find lobsters, sushi, and other more expensive items here. However, if you want good, solid comfort food for a very affordable price, then this is the place for you. Service at this location is excellent and plates were plentiful and clean. Highly recommend.

I came here once for breakfast and awhile back for dinner with the family. I think this place among most buffet joints is just a little above those. I have always found that Golden Corral has often provided a larger and more complete buffet line up than most buffets that you would encounter. The food isn’t top notch nor is it horrible, is simply what you’d expect it to be buffet food. Pro: –Wide selection of food –Ample parking Con: –Its buffet food Overview: I think if I had a craving for buffet food I would come here again. They do have a wide selection of food that they offer and the prices are reasonable.

Family wanted to go for dinner later for a distant relative’s B-Day. This reminded me that I never written a review for this place, even after I have been here many times over the past few years, and this place is a over all 2.5 star, let’s just round it off to 3 since I could not actually give half stars here. Pro — if you are a big eater and love grilled stake, chicken, ribs, ham, Mexican, Chinese food or even just interested in a fresh salad, this will be the perfect place for you. Not only They offer meat prepared in different ways(bake, grill, fry) they also offer Mexican favorites, Chinese flavors, and some Italian items like spaghetti and Pizza. I mostly stuff myself with their salad bar, which is pretty fresh and with a decent varieties of items, dressings and toppings, no comparison to souplantation, but I’d say it’s very decent for an AYCE buffet. The desert selection is mediocre, however they do offer a chocolate fountain to coat your fresh strawberries with, and they do have a station for ice cream(frozen and soft serve) and made on site cotton candy. Con– if you go on weekends, or weekday dinner, often times you will have to wait in a long line that goes all the way from the register and zip zag all the way to the outside parking lot that even wraps around the building, the wait can be as long as 45 minutes or even longer, don’t ask me why people do wait inline for this, because to me it really isn’t worth that long of wait, especially in the sun. The service is mediocre and when it’s too crowded it’s chaotic and messy, I have witness a mother allowing her son to play and throw the food on the floor the entire time, there was food all over that area, and waiters were just too busy to go and clean up. Yes you will find mostly large families with children there and they are loud and messy. There is always a long line for the grill, thank goodness I am not a meat lover and my salad bar is always free of lines. Expect what you would at an AYCE buffet, however this place has better quality food then say Hometown Buffet, and with more varieties of food, not an American AYCE buffet fan, but if I must go in 626 area I would come here before I consider the other alternative.

Their steaks are always good. Be sure to at least ask for medium well. Medium would be rare inside. Ham used to be good but this time around they were too sweet. I think they poured too much honey on(my opinion only). Meatloaf is good but I hate too much ketchup on them. Dear management, as you know already, the line to the entrance could get very long and in most cases it wraps around the building and onto the parking lot area. Please provide some more chairs/benches and some form of shade or big umbrellas for those guests who have to stand under the baking sun. You have guests who have difficulty standing for a long period of time and or can’t be under a direct sunlight for a long time.

The first time I came here was with my huge family(My dad, mom, 4 sisters, 1 brother, my husband and my son). So if you count right we were a party of 10. When we arrived we couldn’t find parking therefore my dad told my sister to get down and start to make the line. We all stayed with my dad to look for parking. Once we found a parking spot my sister was in the middle of the line. Imagine 9 of us trying to get were she was. Oh man, you should of seen everyone’s faces. I felt kind of bad. Of course, I understand them. It made the line 9x worst than how it already was. There was a black belt and all my family had to go under like if we were cutting the line. I’m sorry if we annoyed you, but we have a very angry dad. If my sister would of not got down to make that line while we were looking for parking he would of drove off. My sincerest apologies for everyone else that was in line that day. When we finally got comfortable in line we had to grab a cup and get soda before being seated. We were already in the front, but they took us to the side. They asked how many of us were there. My dad told them it was 10 of us. They said it would take a little longer to be seated because we were a large party. After 10 minutes a waiter comes back and apologizes. He told us there was no tables available that could seat all of us because it was a very busy day. He asked my mom if it was okay if we just sat close to each other but in 3 different tables. My sisters were hungry already and one of them responded and said it was fine. My dad had gone to the restroom and when he got to the tables he was so mad. He was looking around and asked us why we were all separated if he took us out to eat so we can enjoy a night out to eat all together. My mom explained it to him and he said no this is unbelievable. He spoke with the person in charge. My dad told him he wanted us to sit all together and that he was sorry that my sister had agreed to this. The guy(maybe the manager) was so nice. He opened up the conference/reservation area and gave us a huge table inside. There was even some extra chairs. My dad thanked him and we were finally ready to eat. I was starving! There was so much to choose from. I was so excited I didn’t know what to get first. I served myself a little bit of everything! I stuffed my plate and I even told my husband to get us an extra plate. The food was remarkably good. I didn’t expect it to taste scrumptious. Maybe I was just really hungry, but everything I mean everything was good. I didn’t try one thing I didn’t like. I love the dessert section they had. They had so much to choose from. I only got ice cream and strawberries with chocolate thanks to eating too much yummy food. When we were ready to leave the waiter came back to apologize about the seating situation. Everyone was like no don’t worry it was our fault, but they were really nice. As a result of their great customer service, their amazing food, having patience with us and for meeting my dad’s standards I give them 4 stars.

How come I haven’t written a review for this already?! LOL, anyways I’ve been here multiple times because my bf’s family loves coming here for their weekend buffets. Just be aware that the lines will be long so expect to come early or wait in line for about 1 hr or more. Weekend dinner price is $ 13.50/person. Not bad! There’s plenty of food selections ranging from your salad bar, taco bar, steaks/meat, seafood, and dessert etc. What I love about this place is they have AYCE steak! Medium rare, please! Not only that, but what other buffet places offer AYCE cotton candy?! They also have milk and white chocolate fountains for you to dip your fruits in. This place is always busy, so plan ahead and go there hungry! Nom Nom Nom ~

Cheap and delicious!!! This place is the bomb! Not a huge selection of choices but satisfying enough ^~^ quality is pretty good and service is excellent! They automatically come by with new glasses of water. Only thing we regret is not leaving enough tip, none of us had enough change: t we’ll definitely be tipping more the next time we come: D

I’m not a huge fan of buffets and am certainly not a fan of chain buffets because the quality just cannot be good. But I’m always down to try any place at least once and that’s how we found ourselves in line for Golden Corral Buffet. I was actually surprised by how crowded this place was. We had to wait about 15 minutes to go in. And there are children everywhere but I suppose that’s part of the charm. It’s a kid friendly buffet complete with cotton candy and chocolate fountains for the kids to dip their strawberries into. As far as the food, it’s alright. Some things better than other like most buffets. The trick to enjoying this buffet is to come without high standards or expectations. Come and indulge in things without feeling the monetary burden. They have a pretty solid salad bar where you can load up on vegetables before diving into the heavier stuff like fried chicken and chinese food. The proteins were a hit or a miss and average at best. I actually preferred the side dishes more such as steamed corn, and peas and vegetables. Good seasoning on them and cooked right. Their dessert bar is pretty good too. Ice cream, cupcakes, pies, tarts, pretty much everything you can imagine. I did feel that their pastries were way too sweet but I liked their cotton candy and chocolate cream pie. Service is also quick and efficient. They’ll clear away your plates and utensils without you asking them to do it. I think if I had to go to a buffet, I wouldn’t mind going to Golden Corral. It’s OKAY and that’s good enough for me as far as buffets go. 3⁄5

Come during the week… definitely avoid the weekends… unless it’s a must! In my last visit, it was a must! My 11 year child had his«Promotion» from sixth grade! Basically it means he is done with elementary school. So, to celebrate we let him choose where or what he wanted to do! He wanted dinner. At Golden Corral. On a Friday evening! Inside I was dreading it but WHATMYBABYWANT… MYBABYGET!(not really) We get to the parking lot and wow we see no line to get in! Parking lot was not bad either! All good signs! :) So we walk IN to the restaurant and I see a long ass line! I was bamboozled!!! The line is like a Disneyland ride! It snakes around a couple of times! We ended up waiting about 30minutes which wasn’t bad! We got a lovely table in the corner overlooking the 60 freeway! Our server/waiter was awesome! Cleared our plates quickly considering his area was packed and got our drinks filled quickly! The food is good! Way better than HTB! The ribs they have are super delicious! Lots of desserts are offered! I have no idea how they taste because all I ate were marshmallow treats dipped in chocolate! The two stars are for one of the employees serving the ribs who took it upon himself to become the Line Police and ask my husband if he was in line!!! It took longer for him to ask than to just hand him the damn RIBS! He had to verify and make sure! Oh and there was a family in front of our table with a cute toddler but my goodness wipe her face and clean up after yourselves! Trash everywhere! Terrible! Will we be back yes! My son loves it here and the MOST of the employees are great! TIP: THEOTHERGOLDENCORRALNEARHEREISWORSE! THISONEIS «WAYCLEANER»!

Who goes to a Golden Corral on Thanksgiving morning? We did. And happy campers we were. The line at 10:30am wasn’t crazily out of control(yet), it moved shockingly at a tolerable pace. This place was packed almost to the max. The line for steaks and freshly carved turkey may have been long at times but if you strategized slithering over there, you could catch it dying down. $ 12.99 for their Thanksgiving spread, was definitely worth the drive and the short wait to get a table. The booth they gave us was tucked in a corner behind a larger party’s table, which made it just a tad awkward to get up and out. So, I could not 5 star this visit, due to that; some cakes were dry, steaks were a bit tough and the lasagna had more pasta and marinara, than meat and cheese. Fried chicken YUM! Green bean casserole good. Deviled eggs good. Baked potato great! Turkeys, great! Buttered toast slices BOMB! Our server was dynamic and took care of us with prismatic precision! Having skimmed through previous reviews, my expectations were neutral. But after digging into their selections, we concluded that overall, we like it.
