Referee’s Sports Bar & Grill

Came in on a Saturday night around 11 with some friends and it was awesome. Drinks were great. Not to long of a wait as it was busy so that’s always nice. There was a live band with lots of dancing. I enjoyed myself:) Nice bartenders as well!

This bar looks really small from outside but goes deeper in and it’s pretty cool. The drinks are ok priced but really strong. The age range that was there last night (Saturday) was about 37++. They all had a great time though, it’s adorable to see older people having fun :) The band was awesome!
The only downfall is there’s only 3 pool tables which get hogged and seating is scarce. :/​But other than that it was pretty cool.

My first time there, I ordered the Clubhouse sandwich, which is essentially a BLT with turkey. It was really good! The sweet potato fries were also good, but they were shoestring style. The mimosa (with cranberry) was yummy, also. My only negative was the fact that a wedge of dill pickle was served on the plate with my sandwich and fries. If it’s not on the menu, it doesn’t belong on my plate. Had I known that a pickle was customary, I would have known to say something. Luckily, it wasn’t juicy, so my boyfriend was able to pluck the critter off my plate and I was able to dab up the juice before it invaded my sandwich and fries. After washing any possible pickle juice off my hands, I was able to eat. Normally, the entire plate would have been immediately sent back. With the huge increase in food allergies, you would think that restaurants would be more careful about these omissions.

More of a 21+ bar than a grill. Plenty of alcohol fueled conversation and noise at happy hour. Not quite a dive, but dark. My hamburger sliders with grilled onions and cheddar cheese and tots tasted good. Lotsa tv screens with sports, games, trivia etc. There were some pool tables and a couple of guys were rolling dice. I was there to watch a game and get some dinner. Mission accomplished.

This is a great local place to get a drink and catch a game. Tons of tvs, awesome for sunday football. I haven’t had a single bad item from their kitchen. They make everything to order so sometimes there is a little wait but all the food is well worth it.

Went on a Friday night to see my friend DJ. The atmosphere was good and friendly. The bartenders were attentive. The music was good and I even danced a bit. I like it here and will be back again.

I came here last night to go watch the football game not only was the football game on but also my baseball game too it was great. The owners were serving us and were so friendly and so open and just amusing my husband and my friend and I absolutely enjoyed ourselves so much and I have never felt so welcome in a bar and never had such great service and just customer one-​on-​one. The owner Kenneth was amazing as well he was very friendly checked on us made sure we had everything we needed and even poured my beers out of my picture for me I will definitely be going back there and I fully recommend anybody who’s in the area and looking for a good place to go have a beer and get something to eat go there their tacos are great!!!

This is a nice place to watch a football game without the annoying drunk fans. Real chill!

One of the better bars in the area, great bartenders, good food, awesome crowd, lots of tvs, 4 pool tables. …definitely the place to be… live bands really rock, I’m coming back, and bringing friends

Horrible service bartender was rude to my girlfriend we were here for a pool banquet on aug 30^th the only music they play is racist country music david allen coe ect. I seen bugs in the mans bathroom and they wouldn’t allow my nephew to come in for the banquet

Newly remodeled, fun local people. Good food, good times and great service. Everyone is welcome. Located just off HWY 80 in Rocklin
This place is under new management. If your reading old reviews you should disregard then! Go in and make your own opinion.

I’ve been here a couple of times for drinks and some bar food, and Referee’s never disappoints. Decent selection of beers on tap, and a fully-​stocked liquor bar mean they can make just about anything under the sun.
The real highlight is the food, though. The wings are hot and delicious. They fry them, which normally I’m not crazy about. But they came out un-​breaded and crispy, with plenty of kick to them.
I’ll be back soon, no doubt about it.

Good size bar with great screens for watching the games. Unusually good food and friendly service. Great happy hour prices! I highly recommend the tacos for $ 1.75 each. So GOOD with Parmesan cheese on the shell.

Place is really small with decent customer service. Unless you’re thinking of going on the weekend, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. If you do not belong, they will know it and make you feel u comfortable.

Finally a fun neighbor bar to go to in the suburbs! We were recommended by a friend who lives near us to go check it out. My husband and I got a date night away from the kids and decided to check it out. We were delighted with the beer selection and even more so with the food. Usually you don’t expect much with bar food, but this was really good!!! Great staff — super friendly and fast! We even got to meet one of the owners — Nickole! She was very nice and welcoming. We are so glad we found this place. A little gem hidden in the burbs.

I actually have to give big props to the new ownership and their staff. I haven’t been here in 3 years and it is a full 180 with hospitality, friendliness, and great ban of customers. We came in on Saturday night then the owner invited us for the Bloody Mary bar on Sunday. Walked in with a greeted hug to welcome us back. Great atmosphere and tons of TVs for football.

Best cook. We love the chicken nachos. Great place to play pool! I don’t know the name of the lady that cooks behind the counter but she is freaking amazing!

Where do I start?! This place has something special and it’s all thanks to the owner. He is truly a great guy. My guy and I are here almost every week because of him and he’s always there. He’s so personable, friendly, involved, sweet, and thoughtful. I feel like I’ve known him for years! He also has a great staff behind him. Everyone here is super nice. The bar and restroom are always clean and stocked (this is important to us chicks).
On Sundays he has a Bloody Mary bar with all the fixens. It’s great. You get a glass of vodka from the bartender and you can go to town with making your own. The BM bar has lots of items to choose from, including Worcestershire, olives, green beans, horseradish, the infamous celery and bacon (mmmm…) to name a few and lots of differnt mixers to choose from that range from mild to spicy!
The food is the ish too. Before 11 you can order a breakfast burrito and It’s delish. They have tater tots inside and they’re always nice and crispy, cooked to perfection. At lunch they have several items, but the taco salad is a stand out. The best I’ve ever had. The shell is perfecly crisp, the ingredients are fresh, and it’s huge! Two people can split it and be full without feeling like you’ve busted your gut. Best of all, all of the prices (including the BM bar) are extremely affordable! This place is great and it’s an awesome place to hang out and watch the game.

Ever since this place got new owners it has improved immensely! The atmosphere and food quality are much better. If your looking for a low key fun night out and some great live music this is definitely the place to go!

New owners… They seem to be cleaning the place up. There are better bands playing there and no cover charge. Food is better quality. They make good drinks and prices are reasonable. The old 90’s tube televisions are gone but the inside really needs a new coat of paint. Nice friendly crowd on the nights we’ve been there.
