First time trying Tacos Locos after being recommended to it from a few friends. Friendly service, great food. Had the chicken tacos, love the simple, fresh ingredients. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to eating there again. There are vegetarian options as well.

This inconspicuous taco truck serves up some authentic Mexican street tacos. Came here for the first time on 5⁄5 and was not disappointed. Tried the chorizo, asada, and al pastor tacos. I think the chorizo was the best. Cheap($ 2/taco), fast, authentic, and tasty. Deserves the 5 star rating.

I haven’t eaten at all the taco places in Cincinnati, but I think this might be my holy grail. Tacos are on-point. Tortas are the size of your face and… I’m already drooling. My authority comes from being born, raised, and fed in Arizona.
I am so glad Tacos Locos is back in Pleasant Ridge, although I would drive a hour to have one of their Lengue Burritos. The tortas and salads are a family favorites. The expanded menu has very good vegetarian options. Mexican Coke and other soft drinks are available. Want other beverage choices? The BP station has the best beer selection in the city. Not close by? It is definitely worth the trip from anywhere in Cincinnati and NKY.

This place is outstanding. Picked up steak, shrimp, and chicken tacos for myself and three co-workers today, and we smashed all 15 of ‘em. Will absolutely be going back, as I wanna try every single thing on their menu. Very reasonably priced, as well. Excellent lunch for four people for right around 30 bucks.

Mind blowing and affordable tacos. Had a steak quesadilla that made me want to burn down every Taco Bell I’ve ever visited. This place is nothing short of amazing.

A taco truck has setup shop in Pleasant Ridge near the corner of Montgomery and Ridge in the BP parking lot. Tacos Locos offers a variety of tacos, quesadillas, burritos, and tortas. The posted menu actually looks pretty big but it basically boils down to the above menu items served with a large variety of meats(steak, chicken, sausage, pork, beef tongue, and shrimp). The tacos are served traditionally topped with onion, cilantro, cucumber, and lime. Mild and hot sauce are served on the side to add any desired spice. The small corn tortillas are doubled up for each taco and the filling could easily be split between the shells. I ordered two chicken and two pork($ 2 each) and that was more than enough for a lunch. I think that three tacos would be the perfect serving size and makes for a pretty cheap meal. Of the meats I think the pork was slightly better, but both were very tasty. The traditionally simple toppings allow for the meat flavors to really shine. I did add some of the provided hot sauce to spice it up a notch, but there is plenty of flavor without it. On another visit I tried the chicken quesadilla($ 5.50) again topped with onion and cilantro with cucumber and lime on the side. This is a good alternative for someone who doesn’t like corn tortilla shells, as the taste is otherwise very similar to the tacos. Either way the food is served fresh and prepared quickly. I will definitely be back for more soon.

We absolutely love this place. My husband is from Campeche Mexico and he really enjoys the food. If that speaks to anything. No you aren’t going to find cheese on the tacos. I’ve NEVER found cheese on authentic tacos. Perhaps in specific states in Mexico they use cheese but the majority have a staple– chopped onions and cilantro. This place, instead of some, gives you cucumber instead of radishes. Which is a welcome change. My husband isn’t a huge fan. But that’s fine more cucumber for me! I’ve had tacos, tortas, quesadillas… In chicken, al pastor, and steak. All delicious. Food is hot and made to order and well seasoned. As other reviewers have mentioned it is in BP in Kennedy Heights. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

For a frame of reference this rating is compared to the Mexican restaurants I am familiar with in Tucson AZ(aka, northern mexico). It’s a truck, and no it wasn’t at Reading road — call to get the current address. It’s delicious — chicken and chorizo are superb. This truck could drive to Tucson and would be a very serious competitor — people of pleasant ridge rejoice! What a wonderful treat.

This place had been on my to-try list ever since I was singing Mazunte’s praises to a friend, who hotly contested«Tacos Locos is way better.» He was wrong, so we’re no longer friends. Tacos Locos, which roughly translates to «Livin’ la Vida Taco,» is a food truck. You know, the kind that moves on wheels. Which MEANS it’s not always at the address listed here, as I found out the hard way. I had ordered over the phone and, because I went to the wrong location, I called to see if they could hang around after-hours so I could still pickup, to which they happily obliged. +1 for Ravenslaw Speaking of slaw, this is where the score moves to red. I ordered 2 veggie tacos and a veggie quesadilla, both of which were heavy on cucumber. I’ve been to Mexico almost as often as I’ve been to Kentucky, and let me tell you, Mexico’s not throwing any parades for cucumbers. But besides this green seed mishap: 1) The tacos didn’t have cheese, and Mexico definitely has parades for cheese. 2) Cilantro was very dry, but as a weekly cilantro procurer, I can empathize with the fact that its shelf-life is shorter than your step-dad’s temper. 3) The photo of the menu on Unilocal is also shorter than the current menu, so when I saw the full vegetarian list, both my heart and stomach were filled with #FoodFOMO. I will say, the current menu offers more appealing vegetarian options than most places in town.(But that doesn’t make up for them replacing cheese with cucumbers) 4) Also, their«mild» sauce is hot sauce, and«hot sauce» is butt fire. #buyerbeware I may be back to try their«deluxe» veggie options, because everyone knows that«deluxe» means the vegetables come gold-plated.

Lots of people go to Mexican restaurants to get Mexican dishes with tomato and sour cream. THATSNOTMEXICANFOOD!!! It’s AmeriMex. There are a few taquerias in town and a few Mexican food trucks that I frequent and this is one of them!!. $ 2 tacos with fresh sliced cucumber, cilantro and onion with pepper sauces to match. They are amazing! Chicken and steak are some favorites but they also have chorizo and shrimp as well. Shrimp is $ 1 more but so worth it as there aren’t any other«authentic» Mexican eateries that serve shrimp tacos. Not having one would be denying yourself a unique experience. This truck is hard to keep up with and you really have to stay on your toes. I’ve followed it to three different locations so far. Right now it is NOTONREADINGRD. It is in Kennedy Heights across the street from Everybody’s Records in the gas station parking lot. You can’t miss it. I’m from Chicago where Mexican is a staple and this is the best it gets in Cincinnati hands down!

Some of the best tacos in Cincinnati! I usually order the carne asada tacos, and they come topped with cilantro, cucumber and onions. Both their fresh green and red salsas are excellent.

I had beef, chicken, and pork tacos which were all delicious. The best in my opinion is the beef. Generous portion size was wonderful. One of the owners told me sometimes they have Elotes on the weekends. In case you don’t know, Elotes(corn on the cob) is dressed in yummy mayo, cotigo(sp?) cheese, and spiced w some other yummy red spices… An exotic dish that is VERY hard to come by outside of Cali and well, Mexico. I’ll be calling them every Saturday to check.

Was intrigued by some many good reviews here and on Urbanspoon and gave it a try. The tacos were OK, but the burrito was not good at all. I have mixed feelings, was not super impressed. Sorry to say, but I had better tacos elsewhere.

I’m serious, this place deserves each and every star! It is Mexican food you only find in a family-owned restaurant in Mexico. The flavors are amazing, portions huge, and staff friendly. My vegetarian burrito was one of the best I’ve ever had. The carnivore had steak, which was a hit. I love heat, but opted for the mild sauce when I saw seeds… a really nice gentlemen in Cozumel told me years ago that if you can ‘see the seeds you will feel the heat’, and he is correctomundo… I will stick with the mild sauce :-). One note, they offer a limited selection of beverages(no ice), so if you like to drench your burrito in sauce, for the love of your lips, have a drink with lots of ice handy. I will stalk this place all summer!

I’ve passed this street vendor many times(for a year) and always wanted to go. I read the Unilocal reviews and trust their honest opinions. Plus it was Cinco De Mayo weekend and I wanted to try authentic mexican fast food. Tacos Locos is located next to a rusty convenient store on Montgomery Road near Pleasant Ridge probably less than half a mile from Quatman’s Café. Pulled up and already smell the grill. I can already tell I was going to like my meal. I ordered the Chicken Tacos which has onion, cilantro, cucumber slices and a slice a lime on serving size(small) tortilla for $ 2.00. And last, cheese quesadillas with has cheese, onions, cilantro and slice of lime for $ 5.00. As for my sauce, I chose hot. I wanted a little bite/kick to my meal. Only took 10 minutes. Service was great and employee was very nice and helpful. When I got home, I can smell the fresh cilantro. Simple meals made fresh and delicious! I thought the chicken wouldn’t have any taste. I tried it without the sauce first to get a good taste and flavor of the chicken. It was seasoned just right. The quesadillas was perfect, not so big but enough cheese to fill me up. Overall, I would have to say for fast food, it was delicious! You cannot beat the price. I think the quesadillas could be alittle cheaper, but I know I would come back and purchase it again because it was so good! Definately coming back. They also sell salads, burritos, and their famous Tortas. That is next on my list to try. There are vegetarian options. There are no tables and they only accept cash.

I’ll echo the random atmosphere comments from previous reviews. Don’t expect to have a place to sit, but sitting was the last thing I focused on as I savored the best tacos I’ve had in Cincinnati. This is a semi-permanent trailer setup, next door to another food truck that’s never open. I went for a round of three tacos: one chicken, one steak, one pork. If I could only eat these pork tacos for the rest of my life, I’d be okay with that. When I opened the box, I heard angels sing as the aroma reached my nostrils– exquisite tacos with no frills. Sorry no pic, gobbled too quickly. The chicken was kind of meh, especially after eating the two other extremely flavorful ones. When I go back for round two, I might go only steak and pork– or eat the chicken first(I’m sure it would have been delicious had it not been prefaced with perfection). Don’t expect an 8″ flour tortilla, ’cause you’re getting the real thing here. Two, small stacked corn tortillas stuffed with meat/lettuce/cilantro goodness(no cheese), with lime wedges and cucumber on the side. I thought the cuke was different, but refreshing. If asked if you want salsa, get the hot. Go now. Run, don’t walk.

I tried their tacos at MadTree a few weeks ago, which were pretty good, but my friends told me you must have their chicken burrito. Last night I was coming back from an event downtown and made it to the Taco Loco’s truck prior to 8pm for the chicken burrito and told them to make it spicy. I waited a few minutes and then the burrito was mine. Well my friends are right and you can’t go wrong with the chicken burrito — all of the ingredients are made fresh right on the grill, once its wrapped up they put it on the grill for a quick sizzle. This sizzle makes a mighty fine burrito, the cheese and everything inside was hot and melted just perfect and I enjoyed every delicious bite. I will be back again for another chicken burrito soon.
