Sports Page IMO suffers from a bit of an identity crisis. Teetering on 2 – 3 stars here. Apparently they serve soft serve, breakfast queso, have TV’s, and also serve breakfast all day? We opted for breakfast around 10am on a weekday here. The atmosphere leaves little to be desired and looks like it needs a good scrub down. I ordered a standard breakfast: eggs, toast, sausage, hash browns for around $ 5 bucks. My eggs were way undercooked with runny whites running all over my plate. The hash browns however were some of the best I have ever had. Super crispy. My sausage was not real and was nude in color — not even sure what the heck this was. But on the flip side, my dining partner ordered goetta and it too was super crispy and looked delicious. Not a true diner, and when you venture to the back there is a weird area with TV’s and the farther you walk back the darker it gets. In one area there were no lights at all on. Kinda creepy. My advice, skip dining in and order a sammie to go — the double deckers looked like a good lunch option.

This place is A-OK. It’s a friendly neighborhood grill. No frills or extraordinary ingredients but a solid choice. We had lunch there on a weekday and it was packed with customers but no wait. I had The Works breakfast plate and it met expectations.

Best place to go for breakfast to go! Connie greets everyone with a big smile. I went back for a few lunches, and the entire staff is great.

As much as it pains me to give this place 1 star, I have to. I had high expectations for what looked like a hidden gem. Ordered a goetta, egg and cheese sandwich. The bread was soggy, the goetta portion was small, and the goetta was way too soft. It’s like they barely cooked any of the sandwich. I guess for $ 3.50 that should be expected? Disappointed.

They serve goetta here FYI. The service and food was good for a old school type if dinner. What am I saying? The service was great, but I give it one less star because I asked for scramble eggs and it came out to be an omlette cut into strips?!? I mean… it might be me?

I got a to-go order and asked for extra ketchup which they laughed/sneered at and begrudgingly gave me — after I asked two more times. Lady at counter had an attitude problem. The grilled cheese was the greasiest thing I have ever eaten and the cheese was not even melted all the way. Even though its close to work I will never go back.

This place is cheap and delicious. I got goetta & eggs with toast. It was less than $ 5! Hell YEAH! And they make the goetta nice and crispy, the way I like it! My sister and I went around 9 on a Friday morning and we walked in and sat down right away. Our service was fast, attentive and extremely friendly. This place is a greasy spoon, but it’s got everything you want. If you are looking for a quick, cheap breakfast downtown– this is your place! I will DEFINITELY be back!

I got the vanilla soft served ice cream in a waffle cone. They were using waffle cones that had gone bad. Staff weren’t friendly either.

Stopped in for lunch one day and had the wings. Service was quick and professional and the wings were big and tasty. You’re not paying for a gourmet meal here, but you’ll get your dollar’s worth.

Ok… I’ve been here twice. It’s within close walking distance from my office and I have a co-worker who’s a fan, so I went with her. The first time I got a burger and my experience was pretty uneventful. The people who work there are friendly and provide good customer service. The second time I went I ordered the chicken salad. It had egg, cheese, chicken, etc and it turns my stomach to think about it /even write this review because I after eating said salad, I woke up at 4am in the morning, ran to the bathroom, and proceeded to hug the toilet for the next 12 hours. Ah, food poisoning. How I loathe you. So then, after having to call off that day from work for obvious reasons, I go back into the office the next day and another co-worker tells me she wishes she would have known I had gone there, twice — because the last time she went she found roach eggs in her food. =( Needless to say, I will no longer be dining in or carrying out from sports page. I did give two stars though because the people who work there are genuinely sweet — I just hope they are able to get it together to provide less toxic food items to their customers, because no one — and I mean NOONE, should ever have to experience food poisoning. It’s something I wouldn’t even wish on my arch nemesis.

I was craving a breakfast sandwich and decided to wander around hoping I’d find a place. Sport Page looked open so I stopped in. Less than $ 4 later I had myself a delicious egg/cheese on an english muffin and a coffee. They even take credit cards(even Amex). I really liked this place and if I lived in Cincinnati, I’d come here a lot!

I’m being generous here with the three stars only because the staff was extremely friendly. Sports Page certainly does not compare with Tucker’s, Annabel’s, or Bellevue Bistro… but it is an adequate option for a quick breakfast downtown. I would shy away from the omelettes as it appeared to be ‘egg mixture’ rather than real eggs. If I go again, it will be to grab a breakfast sandwich for the road, that’s about it. The prices are very reasonable and the food was served quickly. Again, the waitress was pleasant and that’s more than you can expect from many other breakfast joints.

Everyone has their guilty little divey pleasure, and Sports Page is mine. There’s a feisty brunette waitress who has apparently seen me enough times that, to my perpetual shock, is able to rattle off my order without my saying a word: Veggie omelet with home fries, wheat toast and ice water. Just $ 6.40 + $ 1.50 tip. And, let me tell you, their veggie omelet is one of my favorites. Never overcooked, it’s filled with cheese, tomatoes, green peppers, mushrooms, onions and full on, greasy deliciousness. The best part? You can order it any time of day, unlike the other Sports Page location. Bless all the brunettes with attitudes.

When the weekend rolls around and downtown Cincy takes its ghost town status, one must make it a mission to find an egg and decently priced at that… Remember the Vine St. location of The Sports Page is there for you. Cheap diner food! Breakfast sandwich –bagel, egg(over easy! :), cheese, and GOETTA(even super crispy as requested;) totalled 2.95! …and was waaay better than an egg mcmuffin. The coffee is to be expected –watery. But the friendly staff works with you to keep your cup full. If you are early, the staff may be working in the back, so seat yourself… and possibly give them a heads up that you have arrived;) Hrs are early. Closed SUNDAY.
