This place was great. I was looking for something unique and I got it. It is always fun to run into a new Mediterranean/eastern European spot. I had the tomato and cucumber salad. It was great. The chicken gyro was amazing! Honestly, if I go back you really only need to order the gyro. By itself. The gyro was huge. I picked up gluten free peanut butter cookies also. They were delicious later as well!

Puffin café was a place that we ended up staying overnight in Cincinnati so we could try it the next day and the lady at the counter was helpful when I said I was from louisville and i stayed over night just to try the café out so one of the pockets was an authentic one and the other was the Buffalo chicken pocket everything is made in house so it is a must try

Buffalo chicken puff was okay. I didn’t find the chicken consistent throughout. It didn’t make for the most pleasant experience. I would suggest they include a side of ranch for dipping. It’s a puff so it was a bit dry. Also, a lot of buffalo type foods come with ranch. I dry by there a couple times a week but cannot bring myself to go back and try it again.

The only reason why I know about this place is because it’s near where I work. If they didn’t have a big sign with such a cute name, I wouldn’t have even noticed since the Panera literally dominates the location. When you go in, you’ll notice the quant-ness of the bistro. It lives up to it’s European feel to some extent. It’s quite dark, but the décor is minimal and cute. When I first walked in, I felt like it was missing something, especially given the wide open counters and the really low lighting at the order area. It feels like they didn’t have anything to offer, but don’t be too wary, all their salads are behind the glass next to the cash register and the puffs are in the warmer behind. I have had the sesame salad and the curry chicken puff and they’re quite good. The salad was delectable with a generous amount of sesame oil, and the puffs are great. They’re not as «pastry-like» as I expect, they lean more towards the ‘short bread’ taste in their density and crunch, but nonetheless good. They definitely advertise their«small business» status and really prefer you to pay with cash, but they don’t pressure you at all. Overall, definitely a great place to meet up with a friend or go to lunch with one other person as it’s very intimate and much quieter than most other places. Great place to just chill on a sunny day as well.

Absolutely love this place! Fresh and delicious! ! Plus friendly staff. Randomly decided to stop in here instead of the next-door panera and I was very pleasantly surprised! Will definitely be returning.

This place is kind of hit or miss. The first time I went, I loved it. The second time I went I felt the tomato soup was very watery and the puff just was blah.

Great place! It’s a little hard to find and it doesn’t look they are open past 3pm, but I really like this place! This is my first time here. The people working here are friendly and nice. The music and ambience is nice. Now… For the food… YUM! I just had a beef and cheddar piroshki and chicken curry salad. I was a little sad they were out of the chicken curry piroshkis, so I ordered the salad version instead. OMG, they are making more cannoli right now and are talking about cream and salted chocolate caramel tarts… I can’t wait to try their desserts! I’m definitely coming back… and bringing friends!

If you want a unique experience come to Puffin. I had the barley mushroom soup and Greek salad for lunch. Portions were fine, a larger appetite might want more in the Pick Two. The ingredients are utterly and absolutely fresh. The Greek salad was crisp and delicious. I’d order it every time. The Barley Mushroom soup was good, but I didn’t expect the bright flavor. It had a bit of vinegar to it I didn’t expect. The price is fair for these ingredients. I’ll be back to try their signature piroshki’s.

Puffins is great. It has the feel of a European café! The food is always fresh and tasty. I can get a hot piroshki or a cold salad and don’t feel overly stuff afterward! If you’re heading to panera, you should just go to puffin. Support a local business and eat something eclectic!

This is a quaint authentic café that I happened upon while wandering blue ash. I got the pirosky and soup combo. The potato mushroom and onIon was just ok. But The mushroom barley soup was amazing!.. it is broth based and has domestic and wild mushrooms. It comes with a garlic roll and sour cream. And they also have crepes, quiche, and pastries. This was a lucky find and I’m glad I stopped in.

I’ve only been here once, and the only reason I haven’t returned is that the location isn’t convenient to me. I loved the amount of vegetarian options available and the puffin that I had was REALLY tasty. This is unique food that you won’t find anywhere else in the city and is certainly worth a try. Props on a job well done, Puffins people.

Puffins is one of my fave lunch spots along Reed Hartman. I’ve been there quite a few times now and always leave satisfied. Love the vegetable borscht soup– and usually pair it with one of their salad offerings. The salads change with the season and are so great & fresh! I like that there are several vegetarian piroshki offerings. The piroshkis are so large too– if I get one with a side I can easily take home leftovers. Definitely recommend that you check out Puffins!

I was trying to get new Orleans to go, but they were sold out for the day. This place was nearby and I saw all the«fresh» signs out front. While that may or may not be true, they sure no how to dry out their food. Had the Buffalo chicken piroshki and it didn’t do it for me. I made it a combo and got the award winning chicken soup. This was better, but overall 3 stars suits my meal best. I may recommend this to someone, but more to try it out for themselves and see what they think

Stopped in one day when I was in Blue Ash and WOW! I ended up driving back in 3 days(40min drive) just to get another bite! Really happy with the service and atmosphere, but the food was outstanding ~ You really get the bang for your buck! Gluten Free = Yes Please!

Affordable, fresh, healthy, from-scratch food with great flavor. Lots of vegetarian and gluten free options. Pickled beet and potato salad is excellent and I don’t usually like beets. I also love the sandwich ingredients baked inside of bread pockets! Much better alternative to nearby Panera. Limited hours is a little frustrating.

We decided to check this please out after passing by the other day. It’s not bad. I had the buffalo chicken piroshki. It was fairly plain. My girlfriend had a Mediterranean one. It was 10 times better. We were not a fan of how all the different salads are mixed. The flavors just don’t work. I would recommend just picking one instead of three different or getting it separated.

I was headed to Panera(the old standby) and I noticed this place, so I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did. It’s really a nice change of pace, the food was very tasty and the service was quick and friendly. I had a buffalo chicken piroshki combo with cranberry cole slaw and cucumber /tomato salad for $ 9.25. I was very impressed. The owner said none of the menu items are fried, which is alright with me. I’ll return with my wife and get her take. So tasty…

Came here a few weeks ago for lunch on a cold day and this food warmed me up. After hearing about the concept from an employee I was ready to order. I ordered a buffalo chicken piroshki combo which came with a choice of soup and I ordered the mushroom barley. The soup was served with a house made dinner roll and some sour cream. It was a nice hearty soup with loads of fresh mushrooms and really warmed me up. The Piroshki was good also, and filled to the brim with buffalo chicken. I ordered a cream puff to go as it was huge and I was stuffed for the rest of the day. I had the cream puff the next day and was very very good. I would recommend Puffins for everyone to check out.

There isn’t a lack of lunch spots around Blue Ash, but Puffins offers a good change of pace. They make piroshky puffs which are a variety of puffs filled with meats, cheeses, veggies, fruits or jams. The ambiance has a European feel, pretty nice place. I only gave the 3 stars because of what I ordered, the potato, broccoli, and cheese. It was just ok… bland and needed more seasoning. Also, it was expensive for the amount, $ 10 for a puff and a cup of soup. The soup was very, very good. I got the wild mushroom which was loaded with a variety of fresh mushrooms. I will give it another try, and next time order the buffalo chicken puff. It looks very good.
