McCoy’s Place Bar and Gril

Great food, and a very friendly family atmosphere! Great place to watch the big game, have a beer, and feed the family. Big thumbs up all around!

«Road tripped» out on a Friday night a few weeks back to see a friend’s band play here. Definitely a bit «off the beaten trail,» I think, even if you’re from the area (Colerain/​Cincy), but worth a visit!
Good crowd for a Friday night; we were LUCKY to get two seats at the bar at 6pm, and it was a good crowd throughout the night. We considered eating before we got here, but I’m so glad we waited, because the food was definitely a few notches up from standard bar food! The Mr. had a hearty portion of perfectly cooked fish and chips, and my turkey mushroom and swiss burger and side salad were both very good! This is an historic, older, well-​maintained building, with I’m sure quite a few stories to tell. Nice outdoor patio as well, but since it had rained, the band played inside. My only ding was for the limited parking on a somewhat abandoned looking lot next door. If you don’t get there pretty early like we did, you might be s.o.l. Great place, however, with top-​notch service, and definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area…

Great service considering there was only one waitress for the entire establishment. I would return just for the homemade pot roast sandwich and onion rings. Really tasty!

In response to the previous review that saying is in regards to bikers not race! Lol they don’t want bikers wearing their «colors»! Thats so funny if you actually thought that! Anyways I have never been there, but I figured I would clear that up! The only reason I rated it is bc it wouldn’t let me post without rating it.

I typically don’t spend time in Colerain, but McCoy’s was the final stop in a tri state pub crawls.
It’s a pretty standard pub with a pool table, fairly nice outside area and reasonably priced drinks. Most of the clientele seem to be locals from the Colerain area.
One thing to mention, and the reason for the 1 star review, is that there is a sign in the bar that says «No Colors Allowed».
Needless to say I won’t be returning again.
