Went in to try to get glasses for my son today. He is autistic and won’t allow people to touch his face, and was having a bad day and was not able to come with me. Still, his glasses had broken, so this was an emergency. Lens Crafters is the only in-an-hour glasses shop open on Sunday in the area that I know of. I had his prescription, so I didn’t think I’d have a problem. First the guy at the front desk told me that he had to be there to adjust the frames to his face. I explained that he wasn’t going to let him do that anyway, and that I can do it, I always have. Then he said, well, we need to measure the distance between his pupils. Already done, I told him, and gave him the measurements. Well, he said, we also need to measure where his pupils will sit in the frame. The only option I had, he told me, was to go home and get his old glasses. So, another hour of driving to get a broken pair of glasses(which are currently repaired with tape) leaving my son unable to see for hours? Nope. At that point I gave up. They REALLY didn’t want my money, and weren’t willing to help at all. I really felt like I was being talked down to, as well, which I really didn’t appreciate. Instead, I went home and bought two pair of glasses for my son online, and for a quarter of what I would have paid at Lens Crafters for a single pair, got two pair. It stinks that he’s going to have to wear broken glasses for a week until they arrive, but not much of a choice.

The only Lens Crafters I go to. They have a really nice selection, friendly staff that do not pressure you.

Always such a long wait. The location is crazy convenient but I always make the mistake of going here for my glasses. The convenient location is offset by the fact that they are always understaffed: normally only two staff, and the line is immense. I’ve learned my lesson, I’m not returning.
