If you have insurance AVOIDTHISPLACEATALLCOSTS. A complete crowded hell hole. Especially on weekends. Appointments mean little with the walk-in volume.

Stopped in here for a long overdue eye health checkup and to get new glasses. The place was hopping. Clearly this is the place to go. Lots of frames for not so big prices. I didn’t necessarily see many different styles, but I was more in the mood for inexpensive, so Eyemart fit the bill. There appeared to be lots of regulars so that was nice. I went to go pay, and then, duh, thought to ask about insurance, discovering my glasses would be free with my plan. Well, ummm, maybe we could have started there? I thought it kind of odd that my optician didn’t ask upfront if I had insurance… maybe that’s a rarity these days? Or she didn’t want to pry? I don’t know… but I almost paid $ 100 when I didn’t have to! Whew, glad I caught that one. I walked out with two frames, both ready within an hour. I may be returning though, because I’m not sure the lens perscription is right, but that’s not Eyemart’s fault… that’s my optometrist’s department.
