I love this place. I always get a NY strip. Best steak I’ve ever had in my life. I also love the crabcake. It is huge and delicious. Not to mention $ 18 dollars is not a bad price for a huge crabcake with no filler. Service is always good. Food is always great. Worth the money.

This place is killer! The price point is really high but I could see why as soon as I took my first sip of wine! Went here with friends for the first time and ordered way too much food. The servings were proper and the quality of the food was pristine. The lamb chops were amazeballs but the crab cake was the standout of the night. I imagined the guy whose job it was to procure the meat from the crabs and how many crabs exactly it took as there was a plethora of lump crab meat without many other ingredients added. They love pepper I. This spot and there was a hint of it in everything including the bread! The prawn were the«jawn»(as my friends from philly would say. And the sides were scrumptious. The asparagus was a little overcomes for my taste but that was the only real criticism I had about the entire meal. I felt like a baller eating at this place. Not very many places can do that.

I ate here this past Sunday. I found it very good. I had not planned eating there but was rather hungry so I went in and sat at the bar. Had a Strip Steak, Mashed potatoes and asparagus. Steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare as requested, potatoes were flavorful and the rolls(gouda popovers) are fantastic. I noticed a lot of whiney reviews for this place — not sure what that is about but my service was spot on and friendly. I wonder if it is due to the fact that a lot of these reviewers are there gambling and seem to think people should prostrate themselves for them because they lose money on slots… The prices were about right for top steakhouses — perhaps a wee bit higher than they should be but not absurd. If you can’t afford a good steak don’t go out to eat one…

My girlfriend and I had the night off and I decided I wanted to check out the casino and the steakhouse. We walked in to the restaurant(beautiful restaurant) and we’re greeting by two friendly faces. We decided we wanted to get a drink and relax at the bar before grabbing a table. The bartender was a very friendly young lady that made our drinks, took care of several guests at the bar, and told us to enjoy our dinner when we cashed out. Our server, Taylor, was super friendly and informative. We ordered calamari, two amazing steaks(the filet and bone in ribeye), brussel sprouts(a little over cooked), creamed corn(AMAZING!!!), stuffed baked potato, bernaise, crab legs, prawns(yes, the two of us ordered this feast), and a bottle of wine. She timed everything perfectly and gave us the right amount conversation. When we go back we will always ask for Taylor.

We went for restaurant week, and were quite impressed. We were seated near the window and had a nice view out at the city which was enjoyable. During restaurant week, there are fixed price menus being offered by various downtown establishments, and we chose to try a couple places we had never been before. I started with the corn chowder, and honestly, I am still thinking about how delicious this was! They present the bowl with corn fritters, bits of crab, pork belly, greens, and roasted corn, and then pour the hot, creamy chowder in the bowl at the table. So very good and worthy a repeat visit. My son had the Tuna Tartar, fresh with pickled vegetables and light vinaigrette. Also good, but I would definitely choose the corn chowder before the tartar. We both opted for the 6 oz filet, rare, and they came perfectly cooked. We ordered a side of Brussels Sprouts with bacon from the regular menu, and this was the only down point of the meal. Definitely overcooked to our liking and mushy, which is a shame to do to such a fantastic vegetable. We kept the dish although we did not eat all of them. The steak came with some Swiss Chard and a Bearnaise sauce that was very good. For dessert, I had the Chocolate and Hazelnut Opera. It was a tasty small but perfect-sized portion of cake that was good. My son got the Cheesecake that came beautifully presented… about 4 bites, but that was not a problem for us. Our server was friendly but professional, and we were treated very well by all. The manager stopped by our table, which is always a good touch. I know I will come back for the chowder. It was that good.

WOW! this was the best meal I had on vacation. Jack Binion’s Steak is located right in the Horseshoe Casino, so you see quite a variety of people dinning there. We stopped here for dinner and some games after a very long drive from South Carolina up to Cincinnati. We were tired and hungry. Our moods were quickly lifted when we walked into this restaurant though! We were seated in the middle of the restaurant… which was far enough away from the entrance that we were not bombarded with the sounds from the casino, but close enough that we could hear the dinner music being played by the small band. Service was perfectly on pointe. He made suggestions and recommendations, explained everything fully, and was friendly without being overbearing. The manager made her rounds to make sure that everyone was enjoying their meal. I was so hungry that I didn’t get a single picture of any food. But let me tell you. The steaks were all cooked perfectly, the sides were delicious and the wine was delightful. Highly recommended

First time was good. We are bar flies so we can only review that area. 2nd time, bar seats reserved? Seriously? I guess if they want us to spend money elsewhere, I’ll go to Jeff Ruby.

Only came here for cocktails and music. My review does not include the food. Please do not judge this place based on this review alone. The service and the cocktails are, as expected, spot on. We came in to see Eliot Sloane and Leroy Ellington. This was, to me, a huge surprise! GREATMUSICVENUE! The casino is right out the doors. The drinks are priced right. This lounge is happening! I WILL be back!

We had never been to Jack Binion’s before and honestly the reviews were scaring me off. I will also say that we are Jeff Ruby steakhouse fans so if we are going to go out for a steak dinner, we usually will go to a Jeff Ruby establishment. I am so happy we gave this restaurant a chance on a rainy night that we were at the casino. Our meal could not have gone smoother… great appetizer(calamari), great steaks and if course great wine. Service was great(although the hostess did not look very professional). We will be coming back.

Worst experience EVER! Made my reservation 1 week ahead to celebrate my boyfriends birthday with a romantic dinner. 7pm reservation we called and said we would be a little late. We arrived at 7:06pm and were told our table had been given away to a walk-in and we would be seated at 7:30 instead. We decided to wait in the bar. We encountered an extremely odd bartender«Cindy». I ordered a Grey Goose up with regular olives, my date, vodka cranberry. Cindy asked me if I wanted to «1 ½» or the bigger one. The only response I could give her as a seasoned martini drinker is «I just want a good martini hon’» Our drinks were so watered down we could not finish them. The gentlemen beside me were also discussing the bar needed the«Bar Rescue guy» because they had been waiting for their check for over 15 minutes. The party next to us was large and ready to order drinks and spend money. Each order the host of this large party relayed to her was met by a pointer finger with her stating«wait a minute» This woman could only process 2 drink orders at a time. As we sat with our bad drinks Cindy spilled a glass with melted ice in front of my date. She did not wipe it up until we asked her to. 7:40p we we called to be seated. The hostess Britney brought us to a table with a view of the jail and right by the kitchen. This was not acceptable. As an African-American I felt like I was in a Roots sequel watchin all the white folk eat in the quaint leather booths in the front of the house. Where’s Mayor Cranley’s diversity council when you need it? When we refused the table the hostess stated it was her second day and most people like it because of the view. The only view I could see was the jail… hmmmm really? We requested a manager and Jessica came to our aid. She offered another table and to make my drink personally. I thought redemption. Jessica bought me a fairly improved drink and my date ordered a wine. Because of the earlier fiasco we became behind schedule to meet our guests at 9p in the Rock Bar. We were assured we would be able to order and be served on time. We ordered crab cakes as an appetizer and steaks for entrée. Jessica arrived with our crab cakes that appeared to be more breading than crab. I took my first bite. The inside was cold. I put my finger in the second one and it was cold! We then decided to tell Jessica we were leaving and did not want to take our chances with the rest of the order. We would recommend sticking with Jeff Ruby’s establishments for steak in Cincy and then go to the casino to gamble and party at the Rock Bar with DJ Jessica the Ripper. That part was great!

I’ll start with — the first time we came to Binion’s I’d have given it 5 stars. But that’s the beginning of what made this so disappointing. I’m required to give at least 1 star, and that is generous for this visit. It was Valentine’s Day weekend, and packed, so I give them a pass on being about 20 minutes late seating us and the general slowness throughout. We looked over the menu, and as an afterthought, they gave us the special Valentine’s Day menu at $ 100 for 2. OK, that sounded good. Fifteen minutes after we ordered a bottle of wine, they said they had run out of it, but they didn’t bring back the wine list so we could order a different one. We guessed on one, and then the server left a white wine to get warm on our table instead of putting it in a chiller. We ordered the special dinner. Salads — less than half the normal size. The epic fail was the entrée. The petite filet was cooked perfectly, but just barely warm. The mini lobster tail was refrigerator cold. After a few excuses of how busy they were, they apologized, offered to send the manager, and brought us new entrees. But they forgot the now-cold side. My medium-rare steak was perfectly cooked, but over seasoned and not particularly juicy. Lobster was hot, but tough and dry. My husband ordered his filet medium, and it was most definitely rare. He grumbled, but didn’t want to send it back again(I would have). The dessert was 3 sample sizes of different desserts. The cake was hard and stale, but the other two samples were good. Apparently it wasn’t a big hit because I saw the same thing on the buffet the next day — still stale. I haven’t even mentioned the loud drunk guy next to us, who abused the server, bothered everyone nearby, and threw his napkin and phone at his dinner partner. Or the band that was far too loud for the venue. Or that the manager never did come to our table to «apologize,» but stopped at every table except ours. Or the tray of dirty dishes that blocked my exit from the booth for more than 20 minutes. The assistant manager, who endured this story with varying degrees of cringing, took notes on our account and offered to take care of us personally on our next visit. But I’m in no big hurry.

So, we have a lot of steakhouses in Cincinnati. I mean a lot. Chain low-end, chain midrange, national high-end, local high-end — *emphasis MANY local high-end… Then, we get chains like this boasting astronomical prices coming to town… because the corporate boardroom on the left or right coast assumes we just don’t know better. This is a steak restaurant in a casino where most of the meals are probably comped for gamblers. Why should they care? I guess I don’t either, and I would probably not eat here again unless my meal was totally comped — and even in that case, I’m not sure it would be worth the calories. Your stomach may be happier and your wallet definitely lighter if you try Bobby Flay’s, a few hundred feet away. You might even be better off with the delicious turkey bacon and egg white sandwich from Starbucks, also nearby. Yep. The food? Very average — another reviewer called it a step above an Outback. I’d concur. If we order a gnocci dish, and there are 2 gnocci pasta shells surrounded by fava beans, that’s bizarre. My $ 30 entrée should be warm, not cold. The short rib should be less fatty. The bread should be fresh and/or warm, preferably both. The salad plates could be cold. Hey, maybe some pepper for my Caesar? I finally had to chase down another server. Truly lacking in quality and details. The service is awkward, if not totally poor. If you’re going to dress yourselves in white table cloths, at least pretend you were trained on some level. For starters, a server should know the menu. If we order something on the menu and it doesn’t come as stated on said menu, please don’t say to us, «Honestly, I’ve never read or seen the menu.» That’s super inspiring on a $ 200 meal. Make it up, say you need to double check, talk to the chef, err cook… fake it so I feel better tipping you at the end of the night. Because, really, I do want to give you 20% on a nice meal. Good luck, Jack Binion. You should meet Jeff Ruby or Jimmy G or Tony… they’ll show you how it’s done.

Expectations were not met for a birthday celebration, establishment is very noisy, décor is average, and the menu is very pricey. The rolls are dry and lacking taste, the steaks are burnt on the outside and overpriced for what you get. The sides are mediocre to say the least. Service is fair, have to ask for water and coffee refills, Overall experience was fair, better value at other Steak houses in Cincinnati. Would not go there a second time.

Hard to decide what to rate this one. I would give the food itself 4 stars, and our server 2 stars, and probably 2 stars on value. Our server, while friendly enough, did not speak english well enough to communicate clearly. This created some problems. The house rolls — I think they are«popover» style, were outstanding. The rolls get 5 stars. Beer selection. Either our server didn’t know it, or it is horrible. They were out of several beers(Stella, Michelob). Zero stars. I didn’t look at the wine list, but my guess is that is where the focus is. The steaks were very good, though mine was more well done than I ordered. I had the bone-in strip, which I ordered medium was pretty much medium well. Fortunately, it started as a very good cut of meat, so it was overdone to my preference, but still a tasty meal. I would say order on the more rare side of your normal. They brought us some sort of house desert which was a selection of chocolates. It would have been very helpful if our waiter could speak english to tell us what we were eating. I have a feeling there were some instructions on how to eat it. Overall, it was a very good meal, but this is a competitive town when it comes to steakhouses.

I should have known this visit was doomed from the beginning… I tried to make a reservation for 5 through opentable, but got the message that no tables were available within 2.5 weeks of my requested date. I have been to the casino a few times during dinner hours and the steakhouse didn’t seem overly crowded, so I thought that was unusual. I called the number listed on opentable, which got me a casino operator that had to connect me to the restaurant. I spoke with a young lady there and explained the issue I was having, and she advised that they do not allow such large reservations to be made online. What? OK, whatever. I asked for a table and she took my information, then advised their policy dictated that she would have to «check with her manager» and call me back to see if they could accept my reservation. I’m sorry, what? Could this process be a bigger pain in the crotch? We arrived at the restaurant and it was more than half empty. Well played, reservation«system». We were seated, ordered some wine, and placed our orders. There was some confusion with the menu, as mine listed a poached egg as part of the caesar, but this wasn’t on anyone else’s menu. We asked our server about it and he said that the egg had been removed after a number of complaints but that he would check to see if he could still have it added to the salad. He checked, but alas, not an egg in the house. We ordered a charcuterie and cheese plate, and when it arrived, we asked our server what was on it. He didn’t know, and we had to ask him a second time to get him to go check. OK, maybe not that big of a deal, but certainly not great either. He was a polite and good-humored young man, but clearly out of his depth and possibly in his first service job. There was a mustard and ale English Cheddar that was out of control good, and it was overall a nice dish. Served with three small toast pieces which wasn’t even remotely enough, but whatever. Our salads arrived next. 4 of us ordered the wedge, one ordered the all-in. The salads were good, but the wedges had essentially no bacon on them. I have uploaded a picture to illustrate. Our server did not offer fresh ground pepper when salads were brought out, though every other table around us got some. When our server came around a few minutes after salad delivery, I asked him if this was the typical amount of bacon served on the wedge and advised him that if it was, he should go in the back and slap the crap out of whoever made it. He laughed, which was lucky. He came back quickly with supplemental bacon for the 4 of us with underbaconed salads and advised that he had not, in fact, had to put his hands on anyone to get it for us. I like him. Steaks: a clusterwhat. One of our party had to send back 2 steaks before getting one at the temperature he ordered, and a second had to send theirs back as well. I ate mine even though it was overcooked. To their credit, the manager, when asked what temperature he would say a particular steak was cooked too, correctly identified that it was well past where it should be. Maybe he should be back there working the line instead of whoever they have back there. I ordered the au poivre, and it was a delicious sauce. Made my dry steak more tolerable. Our server was nowhere to be found for probably 20 minutes between the arrival of the first steaks and the corrected steaks, but management was attentive-ish. Also, no nice hard sear on any of the steaks. Sides were ok, but not great. Creamed corn with bacon was somehow bland. Three of us ordered the potato with chorizo and jalapeño, but there was none readily identifiable by either sight or taste. It was still a delicious potato, but not a potato with chorizo and jalapeño. No dessert. They offered us 10% off for the mess with the steaks, which I think is fair. Still, after tip, over $ 400. I am not afraid to spend a lot on dinner, but if I am going to do so I expect it to be good. This wasn’t, and I won’t go back. There are plenty of places to get reliably good steaks in this town.

I couldn’t decide whether to give this place a 4 or 5 star rating, but after thinking about our wonderful service from our waiter Kevin, he definitely helped push the rating up a notch. Jack Binion’s is a place where you can get steak without the stuffiness of a upscale steakhouse. Kevin was a prime example of that. He was a friendly person who didn’t have an air of haughtiness that seems to come with some other locations. He also seemed a bit new, but that only added to his awesome and friendly nature. Moving on to the food, it simply was amazing. To start, we had the steak tartare. It was by far the best I think I’ve ever had! They didn’t give you nearly enough croutons/bread to eat with it, but if you just used the fluffy rolls, it was perfect. Also, the rolls are simply fantastic! They had some pepper seasoning that just screams«STEAKHOUSEROLL» with it’s deliciousness. Moving onto the heart of the matter, our steaks were simply to die for. They were cooked perfectly(I had the New York strip, and my date had the bone-in Ribeye), came with bone marrow(genius!), and had a seasoning on it that was just absolutely delicious! We also made sure to get some potatoes, Three potatoes puréed to be exact, and it was so mouth watering! The potatoes had chorizo and jalapeño mixed within to give it that extra kick of flavor. Fantastic! The only downside to the entire night was something mentioned in a previous review — the plates could have been warmer. The meal was absolutely fantastic, but that perfect bite I saved for last was a bit cold. Overall though, this place is amazing. I can’t wait to go back!
